* TooBleakStoppedCaring: With the exception of the girl who thanks Jerome for drawing her in the beginning, or his LoveInterest Audrey, virtually every character is unpleasant, idiotic, self-serving and rather unlikable. This includes Jerome who, despite being the main character and the only competent artist, sees art as a means to get a girlfriend. His teacher is apathetic and does nothing to show praise to the only student who gives a damn, or to correct the other students, who are all self-righteous and pretentious towards him and think Jerome's a naïve fool for criticizing their work just because it's "not perfect", which includes rather half-assed crayon drawings. One of his roommates is an amateur film student who wants to take advantage of the murders for views, and thinks to add romance just to impress the women, whom he regards as skanks. To top it off, the movie exhausts most of its comedy in the first hour and a half, despite being labelled a comedy, making most of the movie just breaking Jerome's spirit while surrounded by unlikable idiots.
