** Mysteriously, while the film sold over one billion dollars in tickets, the vast majority of people are unsure at best if they went to see it. The film's theatrical release, like that of ''{{Film/Avatar}}'', appears to have become the inverse of a mass hallucination; rather than a fictitious thing that many people ''believe'' happened, it is a thing that actually happened that nobody remembers.

Feels like half this point was somebody responding to the other half. Messy.
** The Jabberwocky [[AffablyEvil seemed like a pretty cool guy]]. You probably could have made a deal with him to leave the field if you'd just given him the stupid sword, Alice. Given that the Jabberwock is the only one who stuck with the Red Queen by his own free will (all the others were just afraid of ''him'') instead of just toasting the wench, it is probably safe to assume he is really her loyal pet, or a kind of construct at her service, or simply an immensely evil being amused by the sight of Underland suffering the tyranny of the Queen.

* AdaptationDisplacement: Not as common as with other Disney films. ** Many people don't distinguish between "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass" (or simply don't know), and the film's mingling of the two exacerbates this.

* WhatAnIdiot: While the Bird in the Tree mistaking Alice for a serpent made some sense in the book, as only Alice's neck grew longer, this film makes her look like even more of an idiot.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: You get Christopher Lee - ''Creator/ChristopherLee'' - to voice the Jabberwocky...and you only give him ''two lines'' and then have Alice cut his tongue out? Why does he have an enmity with the Vorpal Sword? Why does he stick by the Red Queen's side? We'll never know '''because you sliced off his tongue!'''

inexact trope
* CriticalResearchFailure: "Jabberwocky" is the name of the ''poem''; the creature itself was always just the Jabberwock.

* TheyJustDidntCare: "Jabberwocky" is the name of the ''poem''; the creature itself was always just the Jabberwock. A rather surprising bit of [[CriticalResearchFailure research failure]].
