* '''Yang:''' She is tricked into attacking Alfred on live television and made out to be a monster in front of the whole world. She is sent to jail and finds out her attack put her friend into a coma. None of her friends come to see her because they cannot get past the lurking reporters (and angry public) but she does not know that, which leaves her questioning if they are angry at her. She loses an arm trying to save Blake from Adam. She falls into a depression and Blake and Ruby leave, [[note]]going to Menagerie and Haven respectively [[/note]] leaving Yang alone and isolated. She struggles to get back on her feet and eventually goes after her sister, only to discover [[spoiler:the public thinks she is a criminal and many civilians are terrified of her. Adding salt to the wounds, criminals recognize her not as a Huntress but as one of them. She then finds out the Headmaster she trusted was the reason her "supermom" died. She suffers from PTSD and guilt over what she did to Alfred. When Blake reunites with Yang and her team, it is not because Blake intended to come back to them, but because they just so happened to be where she was headed, Haven Academy. The realization that Blake might not have come back to Team RWY otherwise hits Yang hard and her friendship with Blake is estranged for a while. She confides in Ruby how much it hurts that Blake returned only through chance and does not see what she did wrong.]]

I uncovered a few more spoilers from the first two fanfics.

* [[spoiler:'''Vale/Amber:''']] She is harsh, ruthless, cynical, and critical, and always pushes people away but she has her reasons. [[spoiler:She was betrayed by Mistral, one of her only [[FalseFriend "friends".]] Mantle (her brother) revealed her location to save himself and Cinder attacked her, draining part of her Aura. When she is unconscious in the pod and her Aura is being drained out, she is [[AndIMustScream completely aware]]. Her Academy is overrun by Grimm. She is betrayed by Mistral ''again''. She is trapped in America's head and is completely unable to interact with the outside world. She figures out Vale (the Kingdom) is dying long before America does and begins lashing out at him because of the knowledge that they [[YourDaysAreNumbered are dying with it]].]] Despite her attitude, you can't help but feel bad for her after you find out why she's acting that way.

* '''Ruby''': She loses an eye during the Battle of Beacon. She later finds out Emerald is a FalseFriend who willingly took part in Cinder's plans and only hung out with her to get information. More than half of her friends [[DeathFakedForYou "die"]] on their mission to Mistral. [[spoiler:She learns RNJR have to find and protect Neo/Mistral (the enemy who took her eye) from Salem. Her team arrives far too late and lose the Relic of Knowledge thus making their mission AllForNothing. She can only sit in the empty Vault with Mistral's body and cry. She finds out Silver Eyes make S.E.Ws go berserk and kill anyone near them, and that her mother died in a [[SenselessSacrifice futile and ill-conceived mission]] to kill Salem. Her uncle is impaled saving her and she uses [[SuperpoweredEvilSide Silver Eyes]], attacking Weiss and Japan. Then she finds out her uncle's injury [[CareerEndingInjury left him paralyzed]] and she blames herself not only for that, but for the before-mentioned attack on her friends.]] Still, she keeps her positive outlook and keeps moving forward.

She's taken from her world and everyone she loves and dropped into a new, unfamiliar one. [[spoiler:She finds out the people she has been fighting for (Ozpin and Ironwood) lied to her and have done terrible things she cannot justify, making her question her entire purpose in life. She suffers from nightmares about [[AccidentalMurder Penny's death]] and America's [[DeathOfPersonality situation]], revealing she feels responsible for both. She is terrified of her own Semblance because of what happened to Penny. And her decision to tackle England and stop him from stopping America from leaving helped lead to America's latest abduction.]]
* '''Canada''': He was abducted and experimented on along with America. He accidentally causes his brother to get amnesia by killing Cinder. [[spoiler:His Semblance allows him to [[BadPowersGoodPeople erase people's memories]] and he accidentally uses it on France. Mantle's crumbling state is slowly killing him and he nearly dies when a mine under Mantle collapses. Luckily, England was able to save him.]]
!!JerkassWoobie:
* '''England:''' He genuinely wants what is best for America, but his aloof, critical, and harsh nature and bouts of AngerBornOfWorry make him unintentionally reject and hurt America multiple times. [[note]] One instance of which led to America ''[[spoiler:questioning if he deserved what happened to him]]''. [[/note]] He also knowingly almost [[spoiler:dooms the people of Vale (including Ruby and Yang) to a nation-wide LossOfIdentity, an act which leads to America's capture by Polendina.]] Ultimately, England's hatred for [[spoiler:anything to do with Remnant]] is understandable considering what they did to [[spoiler:the twins]] and his subtle displays of a hidden caring nature and guilt over his actions towards America help push him into this trope and JerkWithAHeartOfGold territory.
* [[spoiler:'''Vale/Amber:''']] She is harsh, ruthless, cynical, and critical, and always pushes people away but she has her reasons. * '''Italy:''' He suffers from anxiety and knows he is cowardly, so he goes to Remnant to prove himself and show Germany is capable. While he is there, he [[spoiler:fails to protect Germany and Prussia from the Grimm and is forced to flee with them, "proving" he is a coward.]] Later he attempts to prove himself again [[spoiler:by trying to be a difficult Grimm-fight simulation]] only to fail once more. The latter instance causes him to break down in Germany's arms. You just want to give the poor guy a hug.
* '''Oscar:''' He has Ozpin in his head, which forces him to leave his peaceful life as a farmhand behind and join Ozpin's war against Salem. He lacks self-confidence, and loses more when he sees how much more powerful the people in his age group are compared to him. [[spoiler:Ozpin's shadiness causes everyone to avoid him, and so they avoid Oscar as well, leaving him feeling lonely and isolated.]] It is so bad that he is nearly brought to tears when [[spoiler:America talks to him with the intention of only talking to ''him'', not Ozpin.]] He also suffers in silence during the aftermath of [[spoiler:the Transformation Institute]] mission even though he is traumatized by what he saw there. No one bothers to ask him if he okay until [[spoiler:America]] does nearly a month after the mission.
