* PairTheSpares: Basically the reason why Hamton and Fifi are occasionally paired together, usually seen alongside the other main couples Buster/Babs and Plucky/Shirley. "Prom-ise Her Anything" is the best example of this.

* PassingJudgment: In [[Recap/TinyToonAdventuresS1E14TheACMEAcresZone "Bacon Strip"]], Hampton tries to get home [[NakedPeopleTrappedOutside in the nude]] [[GoneSwimmingClothesStolen after his clothes get stolen during a disastrous attempt at skinny-dipping]]. Naturally, one of the first things he runs into is a late-night tour bus, with the guide pointing out "And to your right, a naked pig."

* DarkHorseVictory: Throughout the short, "The Year Book Star" (Part of "ToonPhysics"), Babs and Plucky compete to see who can get the most photos in the school yearbook, with the loser having to suffer the humiliation of the winner's choice. During the official count-off, they appear to have tied, until it is revealed that a boy wearing an orange hat appeared in the background of each photo either of them was in, causing him to win easily. During his speech, the boy [[spoiler:reveals himself to be a [[LatexPerfection disguised Buster Bunny]], who]] entered the competition to [[AnAesop teach Babs and Plucky not to compete to win a bet]]. This prompts Babs and Plucky to beat him up as the cartoon irises out.

** In "C.L.I.D.E. and Prejudice" (part of "[[AVerySpecialEpisode Elephant Issues]]"), Monty orders an attack robot called S.N.I.D.E. [[note]][[FunWithAcronyms Standing for Super New Improved Droid Eradicator]][[/note]] to attack C.L.I.D.E. [[note]]Standing for Cybernetic Laser Ionized Digital Entity[[/note]]. specifically, programming S.N.I.D.E. to "Attack Nearest Geek". As a result, S.N.I.D.E. tries to attack Monty. C.L.I.D.E. transforms into a race car to catch up to them, then to an airplane to catch Monty and get him away from S.N.I.D.E.. Monty thanks C.L.I.D.E. for saving him, and tells him that [[AnAesop he was wrong to judge him based on his looks]], but C.L.I.D.E., aware of Monty's plan to destroy him, transforms into an [[AnvilOnHead anvil to flatten him]].

* AnvilOnHead: Played straight, subverted, lampshaded, you name it! And we didn't even mention the "Anvil Chorus" short.

* DeadlineNews: Played straight in "Cinemaniacs!", and also provides the trope image. Buster Bunny's video game session gets interrupted by a news anchor reporting that a giant blob is devouring Acme Acres. The blob later infiltrates the news studio as well, and the anchor, caught by surprise, screams before the broadcast is terminated.

On October 28, 2020, it was announced that a reboot, called ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonsLooniversity'', is being produced for Creator/HBOMax and Creator/CartoonNetwork. Spielberg will return as executive producer, with Erin Gibson (of the podcast ''Throwing Shade'') will serve as co-executive producer and showrunner. On November 1, 2020, Creator/CreeSummer revealed Elmyra was not returning. [[https://twitter.com/ofcthismeanspod/status/1550535007348723712 Erin Gibson]] later confirmed on Twitter that the reboot would consist of 30 minute long episodes as opposed to the original shows ThreeShorts format and will be much more character focused, with the cast attending a performing arts school and having to deal with the college life experience. ** "One Beer" (part of "Elephant Issues"), where Buster, Plucky, and Hamton [[DrunkDriver drive drunk]], crash their car and die. Somewhat averted since it was all just an act designed to teach kids a lesson.

* DownToTheLastPlay: Pretty much any time they do a sports story, most notably "Buster at the Bat" which is a parody of the poem ''Literature/CaseyAtTheBat'' and another episode where they were playing Football. Averted in another baseball story where Buster's team was getting slammed, and they won by proving the other team was cheating.

* SameSurnameMeansRelated: Averted and discussed. Babs and Buster share the same surname "Bunny". They're [[[RunningGag not]] [[CatchPhrase related]].

* WhereTheHellIsSpringfield: Averted, just barely. The segment "Never Too Late to Loon" from the episode Test Stress features Plucky pestering Shirley the Loon to channel Einstein's genius into his brain so he can pass his Cartoon Math test. One sequence has Shirley levitating herself to far-flung locations in an attempt to get away from him, using a map of the United States as a backdrop. This map places Acme Acres in the state of Missouri.

* BinomiumRidiculus: As a nod to the earlier ''WesternAnimation/WileECoyoteAndTheRoadrunner'' shorts, the short called ''"Love Stinks"'' introduced Calamity Coyote as "''Devius Coyotius''", Little Beeper as "''Expedious Birdius''", and Fifi le Fume as "''Sexius Skunkius''".

** "Hare Today, Gone Tomorrow" had a scene near the end where four Buster Bunnies scare Elmyra and send her running for the hills. Once she's gone, three of them tug off their masks to reveal Furrball, Fifi le Fume and Tyrone Turtle.

** This is one of the reasons why Fifi La Fume is [[EnsembleDarkhorse more remembered and adored]] than possibly most of the other Tiny Toons. [[EverythingSoundsSexierInFrench Besides the French accent]], she is often drawn with DrearyHalfLiddedEyes and she boasts a rather curvaceous figure, it isn't hard to see why so many had a crush on her as a kid.

** The lost TVB Cantonese dub of the cartoon series, named Q版小時候, also have its Cantonese theme song named "The Journey of Love" ('''Chinese:''' 愛的旅途 ''Ài de lǚtú),'' but [[KeepCirculatingTheTapes if you want to find the Cantonese theme song for the series, so good luck finding the lost song online]].

* MistakenForAnImposter:
** In the first wraparound of "Stuff That Goes Bump in the Night", Babs scares Buster while disguised as a devil. In the second wraparound, Buster gets even by scaring Babs while pretending to be disguised as a vampire. In the third wraparound, a Two-headed Monster sneaks up behind Buster, who thinks it's Babs in disguise again trying to get him back. The real Babs shows up, and the two bunnies run for their lives from the Two-headed Monster.
** Buster spends the majority of "Ruffled Ruffee" (part of "Music Day") spoiling a children's concert hosted by the Raffi Main/{{Expy}} Ruffee, while dressed in a diaper and a green bonnet. When Ruffee reaches his [[Main/RageBreakingPoint breaking point]], he yells at who appears to be the disguised Buster, but when he picks him up, he's actually a human baby dressed in a nearly identical way. [[Main/OhCrap This proves to be a big mistake]] when said human baby's oversized father [[Main/PapaWolf scolds Ruffee for doing so, and later beats him up]].

* OffModel: Daffy and Plucky in prison at the end of "Who Bopped Bugs Bunny?" look noticeably off-model and sloppy.
** "Buster and the Wolverine" had quite a few off-model shots as well.
** Plucky is briefly wearing a sleeved shirt in "What's Up Nurse?" of "Looniversity Days". In the same episode, during the first segment, he's colored purple.
*** Also, in "The Learning Principal", Bugs is briefly drawn without whiskers. In the very next shot, Bugs is drawn with whiskers as usual.
*** Of course, this is all due to multiple studios working on the series.
** The episodes done by Kennedy Cartoons are particularly notorious for this, which explains why the studio was fired after the first season. At least one episode of theirs allegedly had to be completely redone before it could be aired.
** In some respects, the episodes done by Creator/EncoreCartoons can be considered even worse, though they tend to be forgotten, since they only did three episodes (one of which has AlanSmithee credited as director), and nothing else, neither on ''Tiny Toons'' or on any other series. Which means that these episodes are often mistaken for Kennedy episodes.
*** Each of the Encore episodes do have some kind of involvement by Kennedy. "Strange Tales of Weird Science" opens with a DeletedScene from "The Looney Beginning" (animated by Kennedy and Wang) with Elmyra capturing the rabbits before they outwit her, with a bit of re-dubbed dialogue; "Hero Hamton" has a few brief Kennedy-animated sequences (that were obviously added later in the episode's production); and "Looniversity Daze" has a couple of short sequences animated by Jon [=McClenahan=] (back when he animated for Kennedy.)
** The number of off-model episodes was so high, a LampshadeHanging was only inevitable; twice in fact. Unsurprisingly, they were in gag credits of a Kennedy episode ("Hare Today, Gone Tomorrow") and an Encore episode ("Strange Tales of Weird Science"). The former has "Moral of the Story: We Need More Animators," while the latter had "Number of Retakes: Don't Ask."
** A case where there was no model to begin with: none of Babs' model sheets showed her body fur pattern (when wearing two-piece swimsuits, for example), so sometimes she was pink all over, and sometimes she had the same pink and white fur pattern as Buster.

* '''Buster''' and '''Babs [[SpeciesSurname Bunny]]''' ("[[RunningGag no relation]]") -- A (respectively) blue and pink pair of [[WesternAnimation/BugsBunny Bugs Bunnys]]. Served as the main characters and would alternate between LikeBrotherAndSister and love interests of each other. Would often host and close each episode. While Buster was the StraightMan more in tune with the 1950s-style Bugs character, Babs had more of a concrete personality, and was known for her excellent impersonations more akin with a gender flip of 1940s Bugs.
