The series originally started as a television special called "The Forgotten Toys: The Night After Christmas" that aired on December 26, 1995 (boxing day). Then in 1997, the series continued as a television series. In the series, Teddy and Annie had new children following the events of the television special, but they get separated from their owners after a luggage mishap happened at the airport. So Annie and Teddy ha to find their way back home and try to find their children again.
