* PredationIsNatural: Animals eating each other is played for BlackComedy, and happens on-screen multiple times. During the 'Amazon Untamed' auditions, several talent demonstrations are interrupted by their members being eaten (A sleeping alligator waking up and eating its plover, a jaguar eating a baby capybara, several more capybaras having their flesh ripped off by piranhas), which Pedro complains about. Bia and Tiago even gleefully tell Blu about the snakes and their habits of swallowing animals alive, which happens to him during a musical montage.

* GoneHorriblyRight: Blu is allowed by Eduardo to substitute for a knocked-out player at the aerial football match. He seems to impress everyone as he shows off his skills at the sport, [[spoiler:until it turns out he accidentally scored the decisive point in his ''own'' team's net]].

Added DiffLines:

* HeroicBSOD: Blu falls into this after accidentally scoring the winning goal for the Scarlet Macaws and then being severely berated by Eduardo and the other Spix Macaws for it; Eduardo is now officially convinced Blu is truly a no good misfit who will never belong. Convinced of Eduardo's vitriol toward him, Blu is also convinced he has no place in the Amazon and Eduardo will never warm up to him and so he sadly decides to leave...until he catches sight of loggers atttempting to destroy the Amazon rainforest, which snaps him out of his funk and gives him a opportunity to redeem himself to the Spixes (and especially Eduardo), by convincing them to fight for their homeland.

Added DiffLines:

* ReasonYouSuckSpeech: Eduardo gives a scathing one to Blu after he accidentally scores the winning goal for the Scarlet Macaws, costing the Spixes the game.

* ThatExplainsSoMuch: Eduardo says this when he finds out Blu was a pet to a human, which explains his lack of jungle skills.
