** Beth threatened to tell John about Lorelei's plot to send Polly to boarding school if Lorelei didn't let her get involved. She obviously didn't realize until the end that doing so would've [[NiceJobFixingItVillain saved Polly from going to boarding school]].

* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Beth's plan to Team Pocket under the stage so no one would hear them and they forfeit last minute only results in them coming up with a grand entrance last-minute which saves their act.

* ManipulativeBitch: Lorelei doesn’t outright demand or even suggest to John that Polly be sent OffToBoardingSchool. Instead, she drops subtle hints that Polly is not doing as well as he thinks, than tells him a story of how Lorelei herself was having a rough time when she was Polly’s age until her parents sent her to boarding school, which really helped her, or so she says.

Polly Pocket and her friends Lila Draper, Lea Torney, Crissy Maxwell and Shani Mayne are invited to participate on a charity version of their favorite reality show, ''Roll Like That'', which is being filmed at her family's new amusement park, [=PollyWorld=]. The winners will win $100,000 which will be delivered to the charity of their choice. During the challenges, Polly discovers her dad is engaged to a woman named Lorelei, who, unknown to her at the time, secretly despises her and wants her out of the way so she can be the sole heir to the Pocket family's wealth. She teams up with her nemesis Beth to get her sent to a boarding school. Faced with the possibility of losing everything she loves -- her home, her school, and her friends, Polly is determined to make this the best weekend ever.

* GoldDigger: Lorelei's revealed to only love John Pocket (Polly's dad) for his money and has absolutely no interest in being a stepmother to his daughter--in fact, she plans on sending Polly off to a boarding school as soon as she and John get married.

* HeroicBSOD: Polly sinks into complete depression when John reveals her plans to send her to boarding school.

* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: Shani captures footage of Lorelei and Beth explaining their plot to send Polly to boarding school, which Polly can use as proof for her father that she’s not what she seems. However, she cannot bring herself to show him the footage when she sees him happy with her on one of their dates, so she willingly accepts her fate and deserves to let him be happy. With that, she destroys the DVD. Fortunately, her dad finds out the truth in the end anyway.

''[=PollyWorld=]'' is a 2006 Canadian-Korean direct-to-video movie based on the ''Toys/PollyPocket'' toyline. It is the third special in the franchise, the last of the pre-Cutant era, and the only one that was full-length.

* AccidentalPublicConfession: A mix of types 1 and 3. Type 1 because the rant was a result of Beth threatening to expose her to Mr. Pocket if she didn't help Beth to sabotage Polly's team during a contest and Type 3 because they didn't notice the microphone was turned on.

* AlohaHawaii: [=PollyWorld=] has a Hawaiian-themed area called the [[PunnyName Pollynesian Paradise]]. It is where the first challenge, the Hula Duel-a, is held.

* BittersweetEnding: An example that's much more "sweet" than "bitter." While Polly and her team don't win the competition, Polly's dad learns of Lorelei's plans as well as her true nature--he breaks with her, rehires Sam and doesn't send his daughter to boarding school.

* GoldDigger: Lorelei only loves John Pocket for his money and doesn't have any interest in being a stepmother to his daughter--she plans on sending Polly to a boarding school as soon as she and John get married.

* LaserGuidedKarma: Once John ends the engagement and Lorelei runs out of the picture, Beth attempts to show her mad cheerleading skills on the bigscreen only to trip on the wires and stumble repeatedly, in front of everyone watching, and she is laughed at.

* OffToBoardingSchool: Lorelei tried to do this to Polly.

* TeamRocketWins: Subverted. Team Pocket doesn't win the money, meaning Beth succeeded with her plan, but the engagement has been canceled and she embarrasses herself in front of the whole crowd.

* WickedStepmother: Averted with Lorelei. John Pocket would remarry, but called the engagement off once he found out Lorelei had no intention of being a mother figure to Polly.
