Long ago, a benevolent sorceress sealed the evil spirit Zoso, worshipped by the evil Goblins, in a rock that she buried deep under a mountain. Then, we cut to 1000 years later.

later, when the Dwarfs of the Disney movie happen to have dug their mine under the mountain where Zoso's rock was hidden. What had to happen happens: the Dwarfs accidentally release Zoso, who puts an awful curse on Awful the Dwarf, a pessimistic and self-esteem-less dwarf that the main seven where hiring at the mine. Doc finds in one of his books that the evil spirit can only be vanquished by the Sorceress, and only the Goblins know where the sorceress ''is''. With help from two more dwarfs, the dwarfgirls Sneaky and Posey, they go on a quest to find the sorceress. On occasion for Awful to learn to value himself, and admit his feelings for Posey…
