* TaremeEyes: Jungkook, the youngest of the group, is drawn this way. Also (though it's more downplayed) Jimin, Hoseok, Namjoon and Yoongi.

'''WARNING''': Like the ''BU'', ''SAVE ME'' deals with heavy themes, including suicide, murder and abuse. It also manages to be ''more'' graphic than its parent series.

* AdultFear: You see a friend from afar, who appears to be fine. One month later, and you find out [[spoiler:they died via suicide that same day you last saw them]].

* AuthorAvatar: Like in the rest of the Music/{{BU}}, each one of the boys is based on a real-life member of BTS, taking on their appearances, real names, personality traits and other elements.
* BleedEmAndWeep: Implied. The first image of the Prologue is Taehyung staring at blood stains on the floor (broken glass all around), then a shot of Tae's hands covered in blood, and then his face as he cries while staring at them.

* BloodierAndGorier: Not overtly, but - while there were heavy themes in the ''BU'', too - the comic shows more graphically what was only implied or partially shown in the videos. This includes characters bloodily [[DiesWideOpen dying with eyes wide open]] after falling off a building or being hit by a car.
* CallBack: The scene of the boys standing lined up while a teacher scolds and hits them also appears in the ''BTS LIVE TRILOGY: EPISODE I. BTS BEGINS'' [=VCRs=] from 2015. The teacher even looks the same!

* DissonantSerenity: Yoongi appears completely expressionless as he stands [[spoiler:in the middle of a room on fire]]. Jungkook's melancholic expression throughout the Prologue and the first 2 chapters remains almost entirely the same, even [[spoiler:as he's falling down a building to his death]].
* DrivenToSuicide: In the original timeline, Jungkook [[spoiler:throws himself off a building rooftop]], and Yoongi (like in "I NEED U") [[spoiler:burns himself to death by setting his room on fire with gasoline.]]
* FriendlessBackground: The scenes featuring Jungkook in school in the present show him walking alone, never interacting with the many cheerful classmates around him.

* KillTheCutie: One of the boys who end up dead in the bad outcomes is [[spoiler:Jungkook, the youngest of the group]].

* MindScrewdriver: ''SAVE ME'' seems to work as this for the Music/{{BU}} series as a whole (even more-so than ''The Notes''), telling the story much less ambiguously, with actual dialogue, and with a much more linear structure.
* RippleEffectProofMemory: Played with. Jin initially doesn't remembers what happened after waking up beyond a constant feeling of forgetting something, but after the third time he gains the ability to remember every timeline that came before.

* ThousandYardStare: Taehyung's expression as he looks back at Jin after [[spoiler:being arrested for killing his father]]. It's so haunting it stays with Jin afterwards.
