* TykeBomb: Part 2 protagonist Marble was stolen as an infant specifically to bring down the post-Schorl status quo as a psychic living weapon. By raising her to adolescence, her adoptive mother/kidnapper Tourmaline plans to be the one person Marble still remembers and cares for after being subjected to DeathOfPersonality via Neural Flare so she can be commanded to bring down the Australian hegemony and the Adverse humans. Marble falling in love with a squirrel boy was decidedly NOT part of the plan and threatens to derail everything, however...

* InferredHolocaust: At its peak, the Rat Empire had a population of over 90 billion, all entirely dependent on the energy produced by the pylons and the ArtificialGravity technology enabled by this immense power budget. At the climax of Part 1, all pylons are destroyed [[spoiler:by the actions of Brianna and Amethyst.]] Aside from the immediate casualties (which would have been immense, as dozens of major population centers were effectively nuked), the rest of the population was then left to fend for itself in a world without the natural resources to sustain them, debris raining down from orbit and most of their technology no longer working due to lack of power. Post-timeskip, the rats are reduced to just one of several factions struggling for control of Europe, which implies a rather horrifying drop in population.

** To unlock the advanced abilities of the human mech, a pilot needs to ''think'' in human terms. Jayrunner, being a Lemur, comes pretty close but still can't quite manage it. Amethyst comes up with a way to bridge the gap...show Jayrunner human media so that she and the mech have a common frame of reference. Which leads to her finally unleashing the power of the relic weapon...by [[CallingYourAttacks yelling]] [[Manga/GetterRobo "Getter BEAM!"]]. Soon after, she uses the mech's flight ability for the first time, this time using [[Franchise/{{Superman}} "Up, up and away!"]]
