** Brett and Mira were a part of a ''Franchise/{{Gundam}}'' fan-project called "Gundam Attrition", where the former was a pilot and the latter an engineer. They were also a couple in the story. In ''Big Break'', they both have been given more mundane jobs (i.e. Brett now owns an indoor pool business while Mira owns a gym.) and, while originally stated to be a married couple, the creators retconned their status as never having met yet in the comic proper.

* TeacherStudentRomance: Troy's college professor Maxine regularly asks him to assist her in "after-class activities"; in fact, Dara ends up witnessing one of their "activities."

* IncompatibleOrientation: Ai, a boxer who works out at Kris' gym, has a massive crush on her but Kris only has eyes for Troy. This fuels the former's hatred for him.

* StalkerWithACrush: Dara, Troy's classmate, developed an obsession with him upon catching him and his professor Maxine in the act. Since then, she follows him around wherever he goes and spies on him without his knowledge. She even bought herself an apartment unit in his building just to be close to him.

* GlamorousSingleMother: Rena has two sons from her previous marriage, Axel and Abel.

* CamWhore: Cash, one of Troy's roommates, streams [=BDSM=] content under the persona of "Dolla" whenever she needs to make extra money.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Kris is implied to have one; she was an up-and-coming mixed martial artist who was part of a famed family of female fighters (her mother and sister are pro-wrestlers while her other sister is a fellow MMA fighter). However, she suffered a terrible loss during her first match, resulting in her getting seriously injured. Unable to face her humiliation, she decided to retire in obscurity, changed her name from "Chrysanthe" to "Kris" and became a delivery worker.

* BiggerIsBetterInBed: Troy has a GagPenis and always manages to send his partners into sheer ecstasy.

* ChickMagnet: Troy can't seem to meet a woman who doesn't immediately want to jump his bones. He often finds this exhausting, thus feeling relived whenever a girl he meets actually does not want to sleep with him.
* CountryMouse: Troy grew up on a farm somewhere in the country before moving to the city.

** When Troy out doing his deliveries, he came across a girl and her roommate. The girl calls Troy cute and, expecting yet another sex scene, Troy tells them to "do this quick". This confuses both of them and Troy runs off in embarrassment. Indeed, a later panel reveals that the two women are a couple.

** During the interview process at the bakery, owner Yazmin takes a ''special'' interest in Troy and wants to see for her self if he is "quite the handful". Troy dreads yet another sexual encounter.... until another applier comes in and also expresses interest in the job. The applier is a tall, rugged {{Hunk}} named Joesph and Yazmin loses all interest in Troy (though she does give him the delivery man job) upon seeing him. Troy fistpounds in quiet joy.
