* CanadaEh: Well, in the sense that he ''is'' Canadian, but his review persona doesn't fit much in the way of Canadian stereotypes.
** Mortal Komedy takes place in "Oatworld". That's Canadian enough.
** To Canadians, the fact that he's a Maritimer (from Nova Scotia, to be exact) explains... some things, at least. Comparing his sense of humour to fellow Bluenoser Creator/KateBeaton's is an interesting exercise.
** The ''Animal Soccer World'' review includes a reference to [[https://www.cbc.ca/radio/day6/trump-s-odds-for-re-election-house-hippos-are-back-empire-strikes-door-bahamas-tourism-after-dorian-more-1.5306553/the-north-american-house-hippo-is-back-and-ready-to-tackle-fake-news-1.5306562 'house hippos']], the stars of a beloved Canadian PSA about critical TV viewing.

** In his various reviews of WesternAnimation/{{Anastasia}} [[MockBuster knock-offs]], he mentions a lot of historical facts about the Romanov family and the revolution, usually to point out where the movie took artistic liberties. Similar to the Dingo Pictures example above, the Creator/GoldenFilms version has the most actually-accurate details[[note]]inaccuracy of Rasputin becoming the new Czar of Russia notwithstanding[[/note]], such as the young Grand Duchesses volunteering in army hospitals, showing the revolution as something that gradually built up as opposed to a sudden attack, the Romanovs being under house arrest and moving locations instead of being executed immediately, and he also points out a possible reference to the fact that the women had sewn jewelry into their clothes that initially deflected the bullets.

**Phelous satirizes this trope once in a while. For example, in his review of ''WesternAnimation/{{Spider|Man1981}}-Man'' episode "The A-B-C's of D-O-O-M", Phelous dedicates his entire time discussing and propping up the character Goron, a one-off CanonForeigner villain. In-universe, Spider-Man and Dr. Doom are well acquainted with him and the threat he poses. In reality, there was very little backstory about Goron and he's quickly forgotten after his defeat.

The guy covers up the villain's crimes due to being in lust with her and the girl insists on standing by him despite ample evidence he's been murdering people and cheating on her. This is one of the few episodes he shows himself to be okay with an ending where the bad guy wins, as it allows the villain to deliver just desserts to these two.
