* {{Foreshadowing}}: When we first see the Droug leader's chamber, there are two large boxes sitting off to the side. We see later that those boxes can contain a Spider Droid and sure enough, the Droug leader has two for defense when Sam and Krista come to stop him.

* PlanetLooters: What the Droug do to the worlds they invade. They drain the planet of its life and resources before moving on to the next. Flashbacks show that Alvatros was not nearly as lifeless as it is in the present day, and we see what planet that has been completely been drained to be a barren desert.

* ApocalypticLog: A variant. When Varek accesses the downed Droug fortress, it displays a log showing other worlds that have been conquered by the Droug.

* KeystoneArmy: Zigzagged. The destruction of the Droug leader and the loss of their fortress doesn't do anything to the Droug themselves, but it does deactivate the helmets used to control all the Droug slaves, turning them against their oppressors, who are suddenly outnumbered.

* PortalNetwork: The Droug seem to have set up one across multiple worlds, as one of their portals was already up on Earth before they invaded, and seemed to have been there for some time when Derp found it.

* SlaveMooks: The bulk of the Droug forces are made up of this, having captured and fitted the inhabitants of the worlds they conquer with helmets and armor that force them into serving the Droug.

''Worlds Apart'' is a three part Sci Fi animation series based off of ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}''. It was created by [[https://www.youtube.com/user/Arbiter617/videos Black Plasma Studios]], directed and written by Samuel Khyber and the first episode was released on June 1st 2019, with the full series released on May 10, 2020. Like most of BPS' work before it, the series has no voice acting, with it done primarily by animation.

The series takes place among the shared world of Black Plasma Studios' previous Minecraft animations. It showcases the events of an extradimensional alien invasion by a species known as the Droug, following the story of Samuel's avatar Sam, and a survivor of the previous invasion named Krista as they fight to stop another invasion from happening on Earth.

The series can be found as a completed film [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRqoy-L4TSA&ab_channel=BlackPlasmaStudios here]].

!! Tropes regarding Worlds Apart:
* ActionGirl: Krista is very much this, being one of the only free people on her world when Sam arrives.
* AllInTheManual: The names of everyone, from Krista, the Droug, the Droug General Varek, the world of Alvatros, among others, are only mentioned in Behind the Scenes material, given the lack of dialogue in the work itself.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: The Droug slaves are this, fitted with helmets and armor that make them obey the Droug.
* ButNowIMustGo: Krista ends up returning home once everything is settled on Earth and Alvatros, though the fact that both she and Sam each have a portal key indicates they're willing to keep in contact.
* ImpliedLoveInterest: Sam and Krista display signs of affection for each other throughout the film, but it's never made explicit.
* KeystoneArmy: Zigzagged. The destruction of the Droug leader and the loss of their fortress doesn't do anything to the Droug themselves, but it does deactivate the helmets used to control all the Droug slaves, turning them against their oppressors, who are suddenly outnumbered.
