[[WMG:Brainstorm will become a Headmaster.]]
* It would be a great plot twist and MythologyGag. After all, he was at least partially responsible for creating the process in the original series. Naturally, this will lead to a moment of [[RefugeInAudacity pure comedic gold]] when he's decapitated... only for his head to transform into a smaller robot and reattach itself as the other Autobots watch in horror.
* The [[spoiler:point-one percenter spark]] he found will become Arcana, his original Headmaster partner.
** Considering Brainstorm is actually "undead", the spark might actually be a plot by him in order to revive himself. [[spoiler:Or the next Decepticon Phase Sixer.]]
** Jossed. That spark actually becomes [[spoiler:Megatron's, via TimeTravel]].

[[WMG:Brainstorm...]]
* [[spoiler:Killed all the patrons in Swerve's so he could hole himself up in there with its defense system.]]
** [[spoiler:Jossed. He tries (and fails) to kill the patrons in Swerve's bar. Rodimus, Megatron, and others speculate that Brainstorm attempted to kill them so he'd be free to travel back in time without interference.]]
* [[spoiler:Is also responsible for Red Alert's botched "suicide." For whatever reason, he's clearly operating under some agenda as far as Overlord is concerned, one that can't allow for others to interfere.]]
* [[spoiler:Was himself executed for protesting Chromedome's demise. If Issue #16 is anything to go by, he genuinely cares for Domey, and probably wouldn't be too happy with the DJD moving the goalposts for his survival.]]

* Is because he was a traitor. He's just being RewardedAsATraitorDeserves.
* Maybe they killed him for failing to [[spoiler:deliver Overlord to them at the first opportunity. Remember, he was in on Project: Total Insanity from the start and could have done so at any time. Why would he wait to do so only after Drift exposed the secret? It's possible that Brainstorm [[BecomingTheMask Became The Mask]] and neglected to do so to save his friends.]] This raises some questions about who else might have done such a thing if he didn't, and on that note...

[[WMG:Who might have tipped off the DJD about Overlord if [[spoiler:Brainstorm didn't?]]]]
There's two major points of evidence suggesting that [[spoiler:Brainstorm]] wasn't the one alerted the DJD to Overlord's whereabouts. First off, [[spoiler:he was in on Prowl's plan and could have tipped them off at any time, but "our" Brainstorm never did so.]] In addition, the slow cell was deactivated only after Drift confessed to the entire crew, suggesting that someone else did so. If [[spoiler:Brainstorm]] had [[BecomingTheMask a change of heart]] and wasn't responsible, who was?
* Crosscut. He's one of the few surviving Senate members and seemingly a right-hearted one at that. Given the number of fettered Senators who became closet 'cons, and the fact that he survived the Senate massacre, it's possible he's the one.
** [[spoiler: Jossed. Alternate!Brainstorm tipped off the DJD about Overlord, though he specifically requested them to leave the Lost Light crew alone, and they would've done -- had they not spotted Alternate!Drift aboard when they invaded.]]

[[WMG:Brainstorm [[spoiler:actually died long ago]].]]
* [[spoiler: The real Brainstorm kicked the bucket long ago, and was supplanted by a decepticon mole. The reason why Brainstorm told everyone he was forged was because the original WAS forged, but the impostor was constructed cold and later replaced him. Think of it as the anti Ultra Magnus]].

[[WMG:Do you remember that point one-percenter spark that Brainstorm picked in luna-1?]]
* [[spoiler: That's actually Megatron's. He kills the spark that was meant to be Megatron, and replaces it with the point one-percenter spark he absconded with during "Remain in Light"]].

Although Brainstorm is stopped from killing Megatron, it's Rewind that instead takes the shot to ensure a brighter future for every non-Cybertronian; however, Whirl uses Brainstorm's spare one-percenter spark to save Megatron (and create a Constructed Cold One-Percenter) to spite the Functionist Council that ruined his life.]]

[[WMG: Brainstorm, Time-Travel and Whirl]]
We learn after the DOD arc that everything the Autobots do in the past was predetermined.

* In #37, PAST Nightbeat is spotted talking to an old friend outside Maccaddams. He mentions that an ex-Primal Vanguard with integrated weapons ran into a Relinquishment Clinic and shot up the place. Clinics were fronts for The Institute, run by the Senate, and Whirl hated the Senate. He also fits the description of Ex-Primal Vanguard, integrated weaponry and lunatic. Later he enters the comic, but doesn't say where he's been. FUTURE Whirl shot up the Clinic, unwittingly stirring up resentment over things like integrated weaponry and soldiers made to order.

* Second, Chromedome mentions that two heavies ambush him and Roller "about a year from now," but there are three mechs that Whirl leaps to attack. Upon learning that the Functionists and not the Senate are responsible for his mutilation, he kills one in his frustration, and rips off the original hands of the others. And that makes two. If Whirl hadn't done that, Chromedome and Roller would have been attacked by ''three'' mechs in the future with their original hands, and would have been overwhelmed.

* Third, Whirl meets Optimus twice. Optimus comments that he had last seen Whirl in prison, when he had warned Optimus about a bomb. He had insisted at that time it was about revenge. This second time Future Whirl helps Optimus defend unformed Sparklings. Because Optimus met Whirl ''twice'' on good circumstances, ''this'' is why he was deep-down convinced of Whirl's deep-seated goodness and made Whirl an Autobot rather than letting him be recruited by the 'cons.

[[WMG: Megatron's Words]]

* Also FridgeBrilliance... In issue 34 Megatron loses his words on Messantine. But his words could refer in ways to his experiences both that have been and things that are to come. At one point he thinks about how you can no more acquire a skill unrelated to your work than the sky can acquire a conscience - words that could easily refer to less moral flying characters like Cyclonus, who's making a HeelFaceTurn and listened to his poetry when he was younger, or the time he was beaten up by Whirl, the soldier who'd wanted to be a watchmaker, or even Brainstorm, who decided not to shoot him after all. He asks if a miner would feel comfortable working beside a microscope, which is talking about Perceptor. And a soldier who is a Data Slug could refer to how little Rewind shot him at birth so his spark ''had'' to be replaced with that of a genius, or any of Soundwave's 'tapes'. Everything the Autobots did contributed to the young Megatron's thoughts. It was because of Brainstorm's ''time travel'' that the war truly started. Except the Autobots only time-traveled because Brainstorm time traveled. That's where Brainstorm's paradox went.

[[WMG: Skids is Agent 113, and member of the DJD.]]

Based on [[http://forum.idwpublishing.com/viewtopic.php?p=290150#290150 this convo]] from the IDW forums.

The bonus story in the LSOTW called bullets, say that Agent 113 was the Autobot's inside man in the DJD.
* Lots of people think that it was Punch/Counterpunch, the Autobot Double-spy, because he's one of the few Autobot spies there is, also he's the most iconic (IDW might have been talking about giving him a mini-series). I, however, think that it's [[http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Warmonger Warmonger]]. He's just the obscure kind of guy that Roberts would include.
* Based on what we know so far, I'm guessing Skids is Agent 113, and his binary gun was used to fire messages to the Autobots. He was discovered, however, by Tarn (hence the whole music thing and shutting out a whole year of his life), and imprisoned. He escaped, and showed up in issue 2.

[[WMG: Tarn is actually [[spoiler: Dominus, Rewind's missing friend]]]]
* ...and [[spoiler:Chromedome]] had a hand in who he became which is the secret he was revealed to have attacked [[spoiler:Prowl]] to hide in issue 14.
** [[spoiler: It appeared to have been Jossed in Issue 17, but it turns out it was Minimus Ambus, Dominus' younger brother]].
** [[spoiler:And with the revelation that Minimus is a 1 percenter, it's possible that Dominus is wearing the ''Tarn'' armor, since it is known that ''Tarn'' is also a LegacyCharacter.]]
** [[spoiler: there is also the fact that both have an affinity for The Empyrian Suite, and Tarn wont allow to get his cog fixed, possibly because he doesnt want others to figure out he's just a tiny robot inside a PoweredArmor]].
*** Unlikely. Tarn burns through T-cogs with some regularity, and replacing them presumably involves surgery.
*** His armor probably also incorporates attention deflectors, like the [[spoiler:Ultra Magnus armor]], so even if he gets surgery, they wont figure out whom he really is.
** It is also possible that [[spoiler: Dominus was originally Agent 113, until [[HeWhoFightsMonsters he lost it]] and [[BecomingTheMask becomes the mask]].]]
** Tarn's extreme loyalty to Decepticon doctrine might make sense for Dominus: he was in a relationship with Rewind, who was a member of the Disposable class, and Dominus campaigned for them to receive equal rights. Since the original purpose of the Decepticons was to oppose Functionism and the Senate, it's not impossible that Ambus fell in with them.
** Rewind was also the only bot spared on the Alternate Lost Light. The given explanation is that the DJD wanted him to record their atrocities, and then he ran and hid. But the DJD is incredibly thorough, it seems unlikely they wouldn't find him if they wanted to (the Pet could probably sniff him out if nothing else). Perhaps Tarn recognized him and made up an excuse to let him live.
** Also the idea of Tarn, the ultimate Decepticon lawman, being the brother of Ultra Magnus, the ultimate Autobot lawman, has a certain amount of delicious irony to it.
** Rewind says he doesn't know how the DJD knew about Chromedome and him. He guesses that maybe he cried out Domey's name, but that could easily be a RedHerring. More likely, Tarn already knew because he's someone from Rewind and Chromedome's past.

[[WMG: One of the current members of the Decepticon Justice Division is Agent 113.]]
With the two most likely candidates being Kaon and Vos.
* Vos transformers into a Sniper Rifle, which would allow him the excuse to shoot a special bullet at the autobot insignia. He also speaks only in Old Cybertronian to avoid detection, and oh yeah... he has a spare Autobot face.
** His habit of asking Tarn questions and the description that Rodimus and Atomizer gave of a ''very'' different Vos seem to suggest that ''this'' Vos hasn't held the title very long...
* Kaon seems to have the least lethal alternate form of all the [=DJD=], he is also their communication office and the person in charge of maintaining the [=DJD=] hit list.

[[WMG: Agent 113 is Kaon's pet sparkeater.]]
He's the one member of the DJD who is beneath suspicion, the DJD view him as a pet and therefore speak freely in front of him.
He's an Autobot with a beast mode who has been designed so any sparks he "eats" are in fact safely stored away inside of him to await pickup from the Autobots. This allows him to engage in apparently savage actions in front of the DJD while maintaining his own moral code.
As for the data slugs disguised as bullets he uses to contact the Autobots, either he discretely transforms during battles and fires while the rest of the DJD are distracted, or alternatively he has retractable guns in beast mode we haven't seen yet.

[[WMG: Agent 113, the Autobot mole in the DJD, was the previous Vos.]]
* As in, the big guy with hooks for his hands and feet and not the Primal Vernacular-speaking sadist with the removable face who currently holds the title. For whatever reason, Agent 113 was removed from the team shortly before the start of the series (maybe he died, or maybe his cover was blown, which probably amounts to the same thing), but either way, Agent 113 is no longer in play and the DJD as it stands now are full of true believers. First Aid has never mentioned in any way his role in relaying Agent 113's information to Autobot High Command, Prowl hasn't either over in RID, and given that the DJD is still active, he'd probably want status updates on what they're doing. The description of the previous Vos as a big scary hook-guy was to call attention to him so that he could actually be revealed as a noble, courageous Autobot mole. [[spoiler:I also find it difficult to believe any true Autobot would have willingly partaken in the slaughter of his comrades the way the DJD slaughtered the alternate ''Lost Light'' crew just so they could get at Overlord, especially considering how the crew would have been full of Autobot heavyweights like Ultra Magnus, Ratchet, and Rodimus.]]
** Maybe Agent 113 ''is'' amongst the current DJD roster, but has a shell program that kicks into action once he enters situations where Autobot fatalities are unavoidable. (Sounds like something Prowl would do, don't you think?) Like G1 Punch, he's suffering a SplitPersonalityTakeover, possibly as a result of [[SanitySlippage his job's effect on his mental health]]. Or (and this is admittedly reaching) Agent 113 recognized the signs of [[spoiler:a quantum generator accident and was banking on there being at least one more ''Lost Light'' out there.]]
** [[spoiler: Sort of confirmed. Whilst he wasn't "hook guy", Agent 113 was indeed a previous holder of the Vos codename.]]

[[WMG:The DJD is collecting the Ununtrium from the Phase Sixers they destroy.]]
* It's been established as an incredibly rare and finite substance. Money says acquiring for the Autobots it is Agent 113's primary objective.

[[WMG:Tarn's faceplate will be broken, and it will be spoileriffic as all hell.]]

[[WMG: Roller [[spoiler:will eventually become ''Tarn'']]...]]
As seen and hinted at in issue #36, there are little hints that suggest that Roller (whether it was destined, or was altered by Rodimus' crew's actions) will one day [[spoiler:become ''Tarn'']].
* [[spoiler:Both are incredibly strong, as both are Point-One Percenters.]]
* [[spoiler:Both are large, having similar looking bodies and alt. modes, and have the circular panels on either side of their heads.]]
* [[spoiler:Roller feels inadequate in comparison to the Outliers, who have amazing abilities. All he has is his strength, and he feels that strength is not enough. Could that be a StartOfDarkness to prove himself to Orion and himself?]]
* [[spoiler:Just as ''Tarn'' is addicted to transforming (requiring a large supply of T.Cogs), Roller is addicted to circuit speeders in his pursuit to keep-up with the Outliers. Could one addiction lead to another?]]
* [[spoiler:Rewind speculates that the floating ship hovering over the hot spot was the Senate's attempt to creating Outliers of their own. If that is true, then it is possible to affect a spark to gain newer abilities. Roller is last seen getting injured during the fight, with [[NeverFoundTheBody he body never found]]. Could that be where ''Tarn'' would get his signature voice of death?]]
* [[spoiler:Just before the battle, Orion suggests to Roller to read-up on Megatron's work, claiming that it was powerful stuff. It could explain why ''Tarn'' is so utterly devoted to the Decepticon cause if he is Roller.]]

* It is very well possible that it will not go down that route, but these little points of evidence are just too noticeable to ignore.

* Given the unlikelihood of [[spoiler: TWO autobots being part of the DJD then Roller being ''Tarn'' and Roller being Agent 113 seems quite possible.]]
** Not to mention that [[spoiler: Agent 113 always aims at the left eye of the Autobot badge, the same eye Roller got damaged during the fight?]]
** It's also possible that [[spoiler:Roller got a bad case of BecomingTheMask, where after a while he just gave up on being Roller and fully became Tarn.]]

[[WMG: The current members of the D.J.D. are [[spoiler: characters who have "vanished" as part of their backstories.]]]]
* [[spoiler: Between Dominus Ambus, Roller and Damus/Glitch...]]

[[WMG: [[spoiler: Rodimus and crew's time travel shenanigans are creating the DJD]]]]
* Think about it. [[spoiler: Unless it's a RedHerring (which is entirely possible with Roberts), #36 is ''lousy'' with hints and foreshadowing that Roller became Tarn (see above). In #37, Whirl uses one of Brainstorm's strange, experimental guns to kill some no-name goon, but the blast enters through his chest and exits ''out his eyes''. And who's the one shown to kill the alternate-timeline Whirl a few issues ago? Kaon. Who has holes for eyes. Hammer and Anvil are gigantic, easily the same size as Helex and Tesarus. While not directly related to the time travel, in Shadowplay, we saw Orion drive ''through'' either Hammer or Anvil, creating a giant hole which could have become Tesarus' grinder. And they were only there because Chromedome told Whirl to let them live. No hints yet as to where Helex and Vos fit in, but if things continue playing out in this way, it seems entirely possible that the Lost Light just ''made'' some of the worst Decepticons to ever live.]]

[[WMG:Agent 113 [[spoiler:really ''is'' the current Vos]]]]
* Think about it. Magnus thinks Agent 113 is dead because [[spoiler:he mentioned his cover being compromised in his datalog which he shot into Swerve a long time ago]]. However, we know that Agent 113 was still active five years ago, as a message from him led the Wreckers to Garrus-9. Given the fact that the Decepticons were scattered across the galaxy, as well as the fact that the DJD are pretty much incommunicado from the main Decepticon forces, it's unlikely they could have recruited a new member out of the blue. This leads to one of two implications
** Vos' cover was blown at some point between Last Stand of The Wreckers and MTMTE. However, instead of killing him, Tarn had him brainwashed, turning him into the removable-faced Old Cybertronian speaking torturer that we all know and love.
** Or, quite alternately, he [[BecomingTheMask became the mask]] and was actually a DoubleAgent. He only sent the information about Garrus-9 so the Autobots could "soften up" Overlord, meaning that the DJD could kill him easier.

[[WMG:There is no Agent 113]]
* It IS ridiculous that's the only place where the bullet would be. In the future, somebody time travels back to Kimia and shoots the message bullet at Swerve. From the future events, they know where to look for the bullet later. They are effectively Agent 113, but they didn't exist until the bullet was found.

[[WMG: The DJD exists not to kill Decepticons but to fuel Tarn's addiction]]
* Oh come on, we all know addictions are... well... addictive. We don't know how it feels to transform, but it's possible that there's a buzz involved. The DJD is a great enabler to get hold of minimally damaged T-Cogs. Look at what happened at Delphi! Tarn supports the cause, but not the methods, but it's too late; he's addicted, and he can't exactly tell Megs "Okay, I want to disband the DJD now because it's evil, but I still want T-Cogs." And Megatron, of course, trained and supplied the DJD.

[[WMG: Chromedome used to be called "Stylor".]]
When telling his part of the shared story in Post Hoc, he begins to say his name was different in the pre-War era, but Rewind cuts him off and says to stick to Chromedome, otherwise it gets too confusing, and in the flashbacks with Prowl, he's never directly referred to by name. Given the more G1-esque version of his body in the flashbacks, I'm going with the idea that Chromedome was originally known as "Stylor", the name of his Nebulan Headmaster partner in the cartoons as part of a MythologyGag.
* {{Jossed}}. His real name was revealed in 14 to be [[spoiler:Tumbler]].

[[WMG: The final instruction from the future that was cut off was "Do Not Resuscitate Rung".]]
...Because he will [[CameBackWrong come back wrong]], get a severe case of BreakTheCutie, and cross the MoralEventHorizon, because isn't that just the sort of horrible, horrible thing that James Roberts would do? Considering what he's been through-being held hostage and abused by Fort Max, being shot in the head by Swerve on Rodimus' orders ''even though Max was already disabled''-will, I don't know, colour his perception of the Autobots a little? [[spoiler: And hey, the DJD's on their way to collect Overlord, so, you know, there's an opportunity...and we also know that 18 months from now, more or less, quite a few members of the ''Lost Light'' are going to be dead, but Rung ain't one of them.]]
* Seems to be {{Jossed}} - he's been resuscitated, and appears just fine.

[[WMG: The Galactic Council functions as TheManBehindTheMan for [[spoiler:Tyrest.]]]]
[[spoiler: Tyrest himself is actually BrainwashedAndCrazy by the Council, thus explaining the condition of his body, so they can use an actual Cybertronian to push their anti-Cybertronian agenda by getting Tyrest to destroy his own race for them. The Council has occupied a vaguely antagonistic position since they were introduced, and much like Tyrest himself has been hanging around the edges of the series for awhile now, most prominently in the Annual. Most of the rest of the galaxy seem prejudiced against Cybertronians too due to their incessant infighting and pre-war imperialism under Nova Prime, and now the Galactic Council has decided to remove them permanently in an effort to save the galaxy from "the mechanical threat". But in order to maintain the appearance of neutrality, they brainwashed or manipulated Tyrest, the one Cybertronian who was actually still on good terms with their organization, to handle the actual dirty work for them. Thus, it would appear to be an internal matter or just "Cybertronians being Cybertronians" and the Council would appear innocent. The only real evidence I have to support this is the fact that Tyrest is riddled with bullets (from when the Council initially captured him) and when he appears before Rodimus in his base on Luna-2, when he silences Rodimus protests with "Shut up or be held in contempt. You're in no position to demand anything of anyone, least of all me." Then he pauses and goes "Hm?" before reiterating "Least of all me." Almost like he was hearing something, like a voice in his head telling him what to do. Also note that Tyrest is sitting on a whole moon of one million potential Cybertronians waiting to be born, which is exactly the sort of thing the Council would not be in favour of, which is why Tyrest is making sure they don't get made into little Autobots and Decepticons.]]
** [[spoiler: Jossed. The Galactic Council doesn't have anything to do with what Tyrest is doing.]]

[[WMG: The reason...]]
* [[spoiler:why Star Saber attacked Skids is because Skids is, whether by accident or on purpose, responsible for the fall of Crystal City. There is also the chance that Skids, Star Saber or both were former agents of Tyrest]].
** [[spoiler: Star Saber being Tyrest's agent is confirmed in issue 19. Also partially confirmed that Skids is responsible for something, something big and something bad, we just haven't been told what.]]
** [[spoiler: Skids is not one of Tyrest's agents and does not work for Tyrest.]]

[[WMG: The Legislators are looking for a medic to repair [[spoiler:Tyrest and Star Saber.]]]]
* Since [[spoiler:Pharma is dead now]] and can't treat their injuries.
* Maybe they're just some powered-down guards from Luna 1 that reactivated when Fort Max and Red reinstated the (now-corrected)Tyrest Accord.
[[WMG: The coffin contains some sort of mind-reading psychic emitter.]]
* This would explain the appearance of [[spoiler:Rewind's apparent ghost]] and why it appears to contain [[spoiler:Rodimus]]' corpse (and besides, there's no way Hasbro would allow the latter to be killed off like that). Absent crewmembers with a lot of negative emotions tied to their deaths/disappearances would stick out like a sore thumb to any mind-reader, and be extremely easy to copy.

[[WMG: Disappearing objects theories]]
* So far, some nucleon rods, the number "8," the letters "E-U-N," an engex vat, the Pyrobots, the medibay door, and part of the hull have disappeared. Trailcutter's drunken observations and the disappearance of the letters from the "Fuel Furnace" sign under super-observant Nightbeat's nose suggest the objects are teleporting away. What gives?
** Someone with unusually discreet teleportation powers is stealing materials to build something (likely a ship, given the missing fuel door, and part of the hull).
** Megatron's malfunctioning space bridge is opening up tiny space bridge portals all over the ship. Something (possibly whatever pulled [[spoiler:Pharma]]'s corpse through the portal on Luna-1) is using the portals to steal objects.
** Maybe someone is just trying to make Megatron look like an idiot who can't keep his ship in line. [[MundaneUtility Using awesome super-stealthy teleportation powers.]]
* Jossed. It's something else, taking everything by how long it's been on the ship.

[[WMG:Sector 113...]]
* Is the last existing vestige of the Dead Universe, which broke through into the main reality after Shockwave [[RealityWarper Warped Reality]] at the climax of ''Dark Cybertron''. The reason bits of objects are winking out of existence isn't due to them being stolen-- ''reality itself'' is being eradicated by the Dead Universe's proximity. Notice how there seems to be an unusually heavy amount of object disappearance around Nightbeat, who was turned into a zombie by it five years prior. It might be using him, Cyclonus, and Brainstorm, also infected by the Dead Universe, to "soften" reality before sending in the coffin to actively start destroying the ship.


[[WMG:An alternate timeline/dimension plot is in the works.]]
* We have Rung commenting on his feelings of deja vu right before vanishing through that as-yet unexplained portal back in "Remain in Light," a load of important characters about to bite the bullet (if the Necrobot's list and the rough timeline are accurate), lots of exposition about the faster-than-light quantum engines, and [[spoiler:Rodimus' corpse FROM THE FUTURE! and what appears to be the shattered remnants of the ''Lost Light''.]]

[[WMG: The wrecked Lost Light isn't from the future.]]
* It's from a parallel reality, which is why things are slightly different; why instead of Swerve's bar, there's a performance space for Crosscut's plays. Why [[spoiler: Drift was still onboard with his Autobot insignia intact. Why Overlord was still in his cell, and thus, why Rewind was still alive. It's not ''our'' Rewind, since if Overlord never escaped, Rewind never had to sacrifice himself to jettison the slow cell.]] It's also why there was no sign of Megatron or any of the other Rodpod new arrivals [[spoiler: amidst the corpses]]; this is from an alternate reality where none of them joined the crew. If you go back to the old Marvel UK stories, upon which the creative team for MTMTE read, specifically the much-loved ''Target: 2006'' storyline, you'll remember that whenever someone time travels from the future like Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, Hot Rod, Kup, and Blurr did, an equal number of people from the present (or past depending on when you are) have to be displaced to make room for them. The same thing apparently happens here in regards to cross-dimensional travel; that's why everyone who was onboard the ''Lost Light'' when it took off vanished except for Megatron and the other new arrivals. Megatron and the others had no duplicates on the other ''Lost Light'' and as a result, they had no need to be displaced when it fully appeared in "our" reality. It's also why our ''Lost Light'' was disappearing a bit at a time. The wrecked counterpart took time to fully be displaced, so for every part of it that arrived, the corresponding piece of our ''Lost Light'' was displaced. The ''reason'' this is happening has to do with the extremely weak fabric of reality in this section of space which was only exacerbated when [[spoiler: Other!Brainstorm's briefcase was opened and all that quantum foam being exposed to space which Nautica expressly said should ''never'' happen while the Other!DJD were busy happily tearing the ship apart.]] That combination of events caused the two ''Lost Lights'' to basically exchange places dimensionally-speaking.

It seems likely that Overlord's presence was supposed to be revealed in order to get Rodimus to turn his ship around, and head back to Cybertron to offload him, since even Rodimus would probably pause at keeping Overlord around, and Prowl most likely intended that once that happened, he'd ensure that the ship wouldn't be able to take off again. Shock and Ore's deaths derailed this however, since they were the only ones who knew about Overlord's presence before Red Alert found out. This level of extremism, and the ability to cover up Overlord's location-remember, Rung told Fort Max that Overlord had been imprisoned-fits with Prowl's characterization in the IDW comics.]]

The Legislators are his own creations to help him in his plan to eliminate his own race.

It is this "Lost Light" that gets attacked by the DJD when they picked Overlord's signal and the one the Necrobot listed on his datapad. The coffin is the equivalent of the UsefulNotes/SchrodingersCat. With it opened, the two quantum states overlapped, and the one that won was the Dead "Lost Light" as Sector 113 was where their quantum foam leaked, altering the time-space in that area of the universe.]]

Just because they're back together doesn't mean they get a pass on this kind of thing. Poor Rewind is going to have a heck of a time with characters he never got an opportunity to know recalling all of "his" adventures, and may start to feel alienated from the crew. If the pair are especially unfortunate, each might begin to feel like the the other isn't the "real" Chromedome/Rewind due to their vastly different experiences on their respective voyages. And of course Chromedome will pick the worst possible time to air his secret, risking a rift between them. Despite all of this, I'm fairly certain they won't split up, at least not permanently.
* Discussed in #35. Chromedome wants to pick up where their relationship last left off, but Rewind of the alternate ''Lost Light'' reminds him that he never did get to experience most of those events with Chromedome. Chromedome promises to take things slow and let Rewind adjust to the situation.

Also, the only time they appeared, in a carving in Spotlight Wheelie, will be revisited in the other ongoing, where Orion Pax goes to the system the carving was in.

[[WMG: Roberts is Putting the Franchise Back Together Again]]
Basically, if you read ''ComicBook/TheTransformersLastStandOfTheWreckers'' and his Ongoing issues as a Deconstruction of the franchise, showing all the brutal ugliness of what Cybertronian society and the Cybertronian Civil War would actually be like... this series feels a lot like it's trying to Reconstruct the franchise again. It still takes an in-depth deconstructive look at things like names and transforming and psychological effects of the war, and it's still gritty and creepy in many ways, but with an overall feeling of adventure, humor, glory, and the good guys triumphing over the bad ones.\\
Even characters like Drift are a microcosm of this; he's essentially had all of his elements deconstructed (how his fundamentalist nature, preaching, and turncoat-ness would ''actually'' be viewed by the others), and then put together in a way that is more enjoyable and sympathetic to the audience.

[[WMG: The Crew of the Weak Anthropic Principle will be killed]]
* They found Grimlock in the ship, and judging from the cover of the next issue, it won't turn out well for them. Grimlock is known as one of the most feared Autobots out there.

* Rung had the "brightest spark", over everyone on the ''Lost Light'', including Rodimus. Wouldn't the Knights of Cybertron have brighter sparks than everyone from the modern era?
* The idea of Rung being a Knight was brought up as a joke in the bar back on Cybertron. What if that's foreshadowing?

[[WMG: Overlord will die at the hands of the DJD.]]
* Since we know that the crew is going to be fighting Overlord in issue 14-15 and that the DJD is after him, Overlord will most likely be abandoned to the DJD at the end of issue 15 after they catch up to the Lost Light and they'll go to town on him like they did to Black Shadow. After all, the DJD are the only ones shown so far to be able to take down guys like Overlord so it would make since that they're used to take him down.

And like Skids he got his head mucked with. Only it affected him a lot worse. Things like shooting fires and torches, and interrogating his fingers? Residual paronioa.

In any event, the fact that Pharma is still infected will end up being the way in which he is finally killed, which will also sidestep Ratchet's vow to not kill him.

Well, if the Opposite actually IS Unicron, why not just say so? It's not like it's a big secret or anything. In fact, it smacks of what happened with TheReveal about [[spoiler: Tailgate. In Shadowplay, Ironfist talked about having the bomb disposal kit used by a member of the Primal Vanguard which at the time we were meant to think was Tailgate based on his claims, but Chromedome cuts him off before he can say the soldier's actual name, and we only see the "Tail" part of the name on the Ark-1 Memorial, which turns out to have been for Tail''pipe'', not Tail''gate'', again going just far enough to suggest Tailgate, even though it isn't]]. Something similar is going on here; they keep ''alluding'' to Unicron without actually ''saying'' it's Unicron, but if it's going to turn out to actually be Unicron, why keep dancing around the issue? The mythology here is already significantly different from the "established" creation story of the Thirteen, that just because Primus has an Opposite, it doesn't necessarily follow that the Opposite must be Unicron. But they're counting on most fans to default to Unicron based on 25 years of canon and by showing ''just enough'' to suggest that it's Unicron so that they can subvert our expectations when Primus' Opposite actually does appear. Basically, my argument is that "because the evidence overwhelmingly points to Unicron, it must not be Unicron" because that's just too obvious and I don't think these are the kinds of series to do that.

* Because the explanation we got does not seem nearly disturbing enough for [[spoiler:Chromedome to have noped out of Skids' head]] the way he did.

Chromedome is the only one involved who Rodimus does not name check when he lists off the others involved in the conspiracy; Prowl, the Duobots, Drift, and Brainstorm, and the meeting Rodimus had with Prowl and Drift almost seems like it was the meeting Prowl had with Chromedome prior to the start of the series, only altered to include Rodimus and Drift (who weren't actually there, which is why Drift wondered if he'd really have been so blunt). Huh. When I write it out like that, maybe Chromedome did alter Rodimus' memories (and maybe Drift's as well, if he wasn't simply playing along with Rodimus to begin with).]]
** [[spoiler: Also, the message he sent in the third part of Elegant Chaos is suspicious. "Don't let them take Skids," is a weird thing to say when he's the captain of the ship and he would be addressing himself. Something about Overlord or the Sparkeater would make more sense since they were his biggest regrets at this point, and both of them contributed to him being killed in the alternate timeline (if the Duobots hadn't been messing with Overlord, they wouldn't have messed up the Quantum jump and if Overlord hadn't been there the DJD would never have come. If they'd known about the sparkeater before launch they could have avoided his alternate timeline death.) The message also doesn't make sense because it only really applies in two situations: when they first pick up Skids in Hangers On, and when the Legislators take Skids to Luna-1, neither of which make sense, as it was Magnus that led them to Luna-1 and to their capture by Tyrest, and Skids didn't really do anything before they went to Luna-1. Also, Rodimus' removed the engraving on his hand, an engraving that signified his regret with the terrible decisions he made during the first season. He says he got rid of it after a conversation with Ratchet but we later find out that the conversation was Ratchet revealing that he voted against Rodimus, so why would Rodimus remove the engraving after that?]]

Most of what the message warned about did happen before Megatron joined the crew, but it could be assumed the future version of him who sent the message had been filled in on what had happened in the first season of the comic (and why doing any of those things would turn out to be bad).

I also find it interesting how absolutely NO ONE ever mentioned him in season 1, or that he'd apparently been left behind on Cybertron, yet he suddenly shows up in the post-Dark Cybertron comics like everyone's always known him, so I'm wondering if memory alteration (not necessarily memnosurgery) plays a part there. The story he told about Drift purchasing the ''Lost Light'' is interesting because the two people he was with in that story were Pipes, who's now dead, and Drift, who's been exiled and is no longer on board. And the idea that the [[spoiler: Mortilus-worshipping]] former of owners of the ship just beat him up and left him unconscious for two days so he missed the launch? There's something fishy about that I can't put my finger on. I'm wondering if Riptide is actually a [[spoiler: Mortilus worshipper himself]] or maybe a Unicron cultist, something like that.
** Back in issue 12, when Rewind needed a spark transfusion and after Chromedome's donation doesn't work, Ratchet says he's sent out a message to all those onboard who have a compatible spark-type. We find out in issue 31 that Riptide has the same spark-type as Chromedome, and we get this information from Ratchet. Ratchet also knows that Riptide has an unreliable transformation cog, and considering the way that Riptide missed the launch, it sounds like Ratchet might have a history of treating the hydrobot. Riptide went with Pipes and Drift to buy the Lost Light, so when Ratchet and Drift got chummy they must have ended up talking about him. Also, if Ratchet was treating him, why not take him when they go on their launch? It's the same reason he brings Whirl, Tailgate, and Cyclonus onto the ship: duty of care. Maybe it's too inconvenient or he signed the patients over to someone else, but wouldn't Riptide be signed up for the Lost Light already?

[[WMG:James Roberts and John Barber have a bet running on who can kill more toy-sellers.]]
Maybe it has something to do with all the old [[AnyoneCanDie Furman]] [[KillEmAll stories]] they had to read while plotting ''ComicBook/TransformersDarkCybertron'', or it's their revenge for being forced to shoehorn a bunch of toy characters into the comics. * Because ALL of the members of the Protectobots are now onboard the ''Lost Light'', though First Aid is the only one of them to get any real exposure. But Blades has been a background crewmember since season one, and rather conveniently, the season 2 comics have seen Hot Spot, Groove and Streetwise, the remaining three members of the team sign up as well, though again, the comics haven't called attention to it apart from Groove in the Crewditions gag. Given the 2015 Generations' toyline being heavily combiner focused (with new versions of Superion and Menasor, who also happen to be two of the few current combiners active in the IDW 'verse) AND a duo of multipacks that are non-combining Protectobots who are repaints of various Prime, Universe and Movie toys and, it seems likely that Defensor is in the works. Conveniently, this would also mean that all the major groups of characters across the comics would have something to tie them into the next CrisisCrossover (the Autobots, or perhaps more accurately, Prowl, has Devastator, the Decepticons have Menasor, Starscream's Cybertron would have Superion, and Monstructor is still out there as a WildCard along with Defensor for the ''Lost Light''). This will probably coincide with the announcement of a Defensor toy, probably either at Toy Fair or BotCon 2015, which are when Hasbro likes to do its big reveals.
** A ''Generations'' Defensor is indeed in the works, and solicits for ''Combiner Wars'' hint that certain Autobots from the ''Lost Light'' will play a part in the crossover.

And as issue #38 features a totalitarian regime...

[[WMG:Rodimus' Matrix isn't what lit up the hot spot]]
* Rung is. He and Rodimus hop off the MARB at about the same time and get back off the ground at about the same time, and that in the midst of a chaotic situation. The extra prose story shows that Rodimus takes the broken Matrix back later to see if the hot spot will reignite with only Getaway for company; it ''could'' stay dark because the Matrix is broken, or it could stay dark because Rung isn't there this time around. It could have something to do with his bright spark.
* And as an added idea, Brainstorm may be aware of this and not want anyone else to know for some reason. He's the one who immediately insists that Rodimus touching down on the ground is what lit everything up.

[[WMG:Tyrest and Luna-1 are about to come back into play.]]
* An upcoming arc is called "Dying of the Light," and Nick Roche's Season 2 cast commission features Fort Max. Oh, and #43's solicitations claim a planet is chasing them, and Luna-1 was shown to have planetary engines on its far side...

* Actually the Key to Vector Sigma, and the reason the Hot Spots slowed and finally stopped on Cybertron. Similar to an above WMG, but thought of before seeing that one. And it explains the Functionist Universe having to kill Rung! Forged Cybertronians are implied to 'grow' their bodies around the sparks. It would ruin everything the Functionists preach if new Laser Pointers were 'born' after they'd been declared obsolete. Yet the Functionists NEED new sparks because they're killing people by the thousands or millions with every Recall. Without Rung, there are no more new Hot Spots. No more new Sparks. And the Cybertronian species is doomed to slow extinction. The beginning of the end...of the Transformer race.
** I second this theory, if only for how entertaining any ''WesternAnimation/BeastMachines'' adaptation would be as a result.

[[WMG: Rewind has been subjected to mnemosurgery before]]
* Re-reading some of the past issues, it seems a little convenient that he's "allergic" to ultraviolet light, yet ultraviolet light is the only way to see the needle marks left behind by mnemosurgery.
** Are you suggesting Chromedome pulled a [[Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer Willow]][=/=][[WesternAnimation/YoungJustice Miss Martian]] on Rewind to keep their relationship afloat? God, I hope that doesn't turn out to be the case.
*** Maybe not Chromedome explicitly (though, being completely honest, it sounds like the kind of Bad Life Choice he has a tendency to make); there were plenty of other trained mnemosurgeons during the war. If it weren't for Minimus' existence and clear connection to Dominus, I would almost wonder if Rewind's memories of Dominus are completely fake - it ''would'' explain why he's never found any clues as to what happened to him despite spending the entire war searching.

[[WMG: Ten was [[spoiler: Dominus Ambus]]]]
* We do know that Tyrest makes the legislators out of the remains of his victims. Ten somehow knows about Minimus Ambus and his altmode, despite the fact the the legislators were not made when Minimus took up the mantle of Ultra Magnus. It's unlikely Ten was on Tyrest's ship when he was stripped of the Magnus Armor, because the battle damage Ten was shown to have included arrows, something that only Atomizer has, and who was still on the ship during the events of the Remains in Light Arc. Swerve's reprograming might have brought out the remains of [[spoiler: Dominus's]] personality, but he is unable to express himself due to his current limitations.
** A valid theory, though that brings to question the fact that [[spoiler:Rewind]] is left out of the mural and has no figurine. Sure, he wasn't around when Ten ''first'' came aboard, but he's been around for a while now, and someone as important as [[spoiler: Rewind]] is/was to [[spoiler:Dominus']] past would surely be included.
*** Good point, but it's also possible that Ten might not have all his memories as [[spoiler:Dominus Ambus]] because of his reconfiguration into a legislator. Or perhaps he does remember [[spoiler: Rewind]] and doesn't want to bring it up because he's figured out about his relationship with Chromedome.
** Tyrest probably programmed knowledge of who his enforcer is underneath the armor into the Legislators. If Magnus went rogue somehow and Tyrest wanted to have him tracked down, it wouldn't do any good if Minimus could just hop out of the suit and say HeWentThatWay when the Legislators caught up.

[[WMG: Riptide is a historical constant, like Rung.]]
* Sparktype hasn't yet been confirmed as the reason for Rung's historical omniprescnce, so it's still possible a constructed cold MTO could be a constant. It would also explain why he's suddenly being shoehorned into every arc of season 2 (which I can't help but feel is going to be significant later).
** Well of course he might become a historical constant, like Rung, he was time travelling along ''with'' Rung and the others.

[[WMG: Getaway and his possible motives]]
* I was more than happy to give him the benefit of the up until this point, but golly was that some creepy behavior in issue 40. I'd love to hear everyone's theories on the subject, and I'll be sure to add any that cross my mind.
** I personally think it's very simple: he's just a GoldDigger. Notice he only started showing interest in Tailgate once Tailgate started becoming popular with the crew. He wants to be seen with Tailgate because, since Tailgate has become popular with the rest of the crew, that will make him popular by extension.
** Getaway himself seems fairly popular amongst the crew (or at least not ''un''popular). The more I analyze his behavior, the more I wonder if he just goes about making "friends" in a rather shitty and manipulative way, exploiting others' personal insecurities without really thinking about it. He might actually be a more mundane example of a sociopath, given his considerable superficial charm.

[[WMG: Rodimus' desk carvings]]
* Issue #41 established that Rodimus is still carving into his desk (first mentioned in the prose story accompanying #13), and he's run out of room. Thunderclash was carving part of the map to Cyberutopia into his wall. Maybe Rodimus is carving a different part of the map or something else related to Cyberutopia and doesn't realize it? It's interesting that we haven't actually ''seen'' what he's carving yet.

* The holomatter avatars (save for Ultra Magnus, who specifically requested his friend Verity Carlo) are based on their personalities, which is why Tailgate (who we later learn was only 2 weeks old when he was buried) resembles a baby, and Skids (who has amnesia) winds up with a blank ID card. Whirl's is a little girl armed with a pair of submachine guns, which could indicate both his immaturity and his love of violence. But when we see his avatar again in Season 2, it appears to have aged into a teenager. Unless he specifically asked Brainstorm for an adjustment, this might mean that Whirl is mentally/emotionally maturing from his time on the Lost Light.

It still takes an in-depth deconstructive look at things like names and transforming and psychological effects of the war, and it's still gritty and creepy in many ways, but with an overall feeling of adventure, humor, glory, and the good guys triumphing over the bad ones.\\

Maybe it has something to do with all the old [[AnyoneCanDie Furman]] [[KillEmAll stories]] they had to read while plotting ''TransformersDarkCybertron'', or it's their revenge for being forced to shoehorn a bunch of toy characters into the comics. So began his plan to engineer a revolution, starting with the construction of his briefcase network. He's had experience in creating temporal-affecting devices such as the slow cell, possibly as a springboard for a full blown time machine, and he's shown an interest in the Dead Universe, possibly having arrived at Shockwave's conclusions that the energies of another universe can be tapped into (though its destruction in ''Dark Cybertron'' likely scrapped his plans to use it to fuel his machine).

Having created the means to travel into the past, he starts building his own revolutionary from scratch. Creating Megatron's personality in a lab might have been difficult, but Brainstorm hails from the New Institute and used to work with the best mnemosurgeon alive. Instead, it's finding the superspark that will ensure his toy soldier will be tough enough to survive the living hell the Senate will surely put him through that proves to be the big obstacle. but he gets lucky and essentially has one fall into his lap on Luna-1. Unfortunately, the reality-warping of the Dark Cybertron and Slaughterhouse arcs accelerates the timeline's decay, and with another control case suddenly tapping into his network, Brainstorm knows it's time to put his plan into action.

Though Megatron is the major game changer here, there are multiple minute historical events which need to be occur to achieve the desired timeline. Whether empirically or just as an educated guess, Brainstorm knows he can't count on everyone involved in them just uniting under his lead to screw the past. He needs to galvanize them into making the jump themselves, and what better way to do that that then making himself out as a threat to the timeline? By making himself out as a Decepticon, faking an attempted mass murder, and jumping into the past, he's ensured the crew will drop everything and chase him. He tries hitting hotspots that helped shape Megatron into the Decepticon leader, knowing that the others will follow and bumble into creating StableTimeLoop after StableTimeLoop, and even sets up one himself with whatever the hell he did to past Rung. At one point, much to his panic, they catch up to him and almost derail his plans, but he's able to shake them and leads them back through the past again, where they accidentally start the fight which leads to Megatron's arrest. (Presumably, he was completely nonplussed that the war was indirectly caused by a curly straw, hence his "Unbelievable...") He ultimately travels back to the day of Megatron's creation, and starts off the modifications by killing the spark of Megatron-to-be and replacing it with his Point-One-Percenter.

At one point he thinks about how you can no more acquire a skill unrelated to your work than the sky can acquire a conscience - words that could easily refer to less moral flying characters like Cyclonus, who's making a HeelFaceTurn and listened to his poetry when he was younger, or the time he was beaten up by Whirl, the soldier who'd wanted to be a watchmaker, or even Brainstorm, who decided not to shoot him after all. He asks if a miner would feel comfortable working beside a microscope, which is talking about Perceptor. And a soldier who is a Data Slug could refer to how little Rewind shot him at birth so his spark ''had'' to be replaced with that of a genius, or any of Soundwave's 'tapes'.

Everything the Autobots did contributed to the young Megatron's thoughts. It was because of Brainstorm's ''time travel'' that the war truly started. Except the Autobots only time-traveled because Brainstorm time traveled. That's where Brainstorm's paradox went.

He's a big name Con who hasn't appeared yet in the IDW verse. Also, the cover with Grimlock has him attacking two apparent Decepticons, one has a head that resembles Deathsaurus.

** Someone on the crew we haven't seen yet. Implicitly, he could have been the one removing the evidence of Red Alert's drive.
** Ore was killed, but was teleported out with the Metrotitan, he's still active, and he may have gotten back onto the ship, somehow.
** Whoever talked to Chromedome knows Chromedome enough for Domey to recognize his voice without hearing his name. Shock and Ore were interchangeable to such an extent that the other crew members went on for some time about which one was which after they died. Here's my theory, cobbled together from bits and pieces of forum discussions:
*** It's Brainstorm. He knows Chromedome well, and, based on having helped rebuild Kup a few years back (complete with Prowl's secret personality subroutines) would have the resources and knowledge to rebuild/reprogram Overlord.
*** An upcoming solicit mentions an Autobot speaking without moving his lips. When Kup was rebuilt, and Prowl was musing over his modifications, his internal monologue specifically mentions that when Kup speaks, you won't even see Prowl's lips move. Now, according to the Conspirator, Overlord's reason for being on the ship is to wipe out the Decepticon threat forever. Who has a fanatical hatred for Decepticons? Prowl. James Roberts has said that, unlike the Sparkeater, Overlord was not present on the ship prior to its takeoff, which means that he's more likely than not the "cargo" that Prowl specified.
*** How did he get onboard? Brainstorm's briefcase has been assumed, by many a fan, to be the Malevolent Counterintuative Program he invented back in ''Bullets''. It's never been called that, though. Every precaution has been taken not to open it. The annual showed that Brainstorm has access to a shrink gun. Could he have shrunk Overlord, smuggled him onboard, and then re-enlarged him in the secret chamber below, possibly installed onto the ship by Shock and Ore? This, of course, raises the question of Brainstorm's special security clearance in the first issue. Supposedly Rodimus gave him that clearance, but did he really? Are they onboard, and also in cahoots with Prowl's group?
*** This makes sense, when the Sparkeater attacked, he's attracted to the brightest spark, Rung's, but he's repulsed by the case, if Overlord was indeed in there, the Sparkeater may have sensed the "evil" in his spark, or more likely, the total lack of a goal or willingness to live made his spark dimmer, evidenced by Overlord's desire to be killed, and his one goal being smashed back in LSOTW. When Drift said that Sparkeaters are drawn to pain or emotional trauma, perhaps Overlord feels none of those, to quote Kup "just an emptiness, an absence of presence." That's the look that Kup got when staring into Overlord's eyes, and Zero-Point made the connection that the eyes were windows to the spark.
