Began with the World Premiere Toon-In, which showcased ''WesternAnimation/DextersLaboratory'' and ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls''. ''WesternAnimation/CartoonPlanet'', which brought them back in 2012, is very obviously a spinoff of this show, with Brak and Zorak (who were originally Space Ghost's enemies, but who must have pulled a HeelFaceTurn between TheSixties and TheNineties) as hosts. Creator/AdultSwim's [[SurrealHumor unusual sense of humor]] began here, and its [[ChannelHop impo]][[Creator/{{FOX}} rted]] KillerApp ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'' (and its [[WesternAnimation/AmericanDad related]] [[WesternAnimation/TheClevelandShow series]]) ultimately descend from [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaYtNtthcpQ one of the attempted Cartoon Cartoons that never made it to a series]], [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome and then]] [as] UnCanceled Toonami. And then there's Creator/{{Toonami}}, the block responsible for the final wave of UsefulNotes/TheJapaneseInvasion and thus the love many of the Millennial generation have for {{Anime}}, which began with Moltar as its host before [[RobotBuddy TOM]] was created and took over. Note how this is all the things (aside from [[AdoredByTheNetwork endless time-filling reruns of]] Franchise/ScoobyDoo) that were most important before the NetworkDecay. Now, WesternAnimation/SpaceGhostCoastToCoast is, or at least [[{{Retool}} ended up as]], a rather surreal show, but at least most of the Cartoon Cartoons were at least internally coherent, and Toonami was amazing for the specific reason that it was so thoroughly coherent that it came as close to the border of the AnimationAgeGhetto as the network censors would allow and certainly transcended far past the comedy genre. Thus all that's good with CN is the descendants of Space Ghost, and all that is evil was brought about by the GodOfEvil [[ExecutiveMeddling Stuart]] [[SatanicArchetype "Satan"]] [[NetworkDecay Snyder]].

** Unless of course those of us that liked the older material better than the Cartoon Cartoons and adult swim varieties. Then we are ready to demonize this show.

The show was fairly tame in the beginning, and the characters were even close in personality to their old counterparts. The pressure of doing the show and trying to be funny got to them, and finally they started drinking in order to loosen up before the show. By the end of the show it got to the point where they drank and did drugs on the show.
