First, the narrator sees an armadillo on the street, mourns for it, then eats it ("Dead Armadillo"), then, after eating it, he continues to mourn for it and gets HeroicBSOD ("Now You're Gone" and "You're Not Alone"), then he gets a crush on someone and fails several times to impress them ("I Won't Give Up Until I Win Your Heart"), and one of those failed attempts is a date in which he never finds out the person's name ("The Day You Told Me Your Name") and another one is when he does find it out but misspells it in his tattoos ("If Our Love Was an Outhouse"), then it's Valentine's Day and he sings the Awkward Valentines Day Song, which leads to them finally getting together and the narrator's grief for the armadillo finishes ("A Little Like Love"). This was inspired by the fact that in Now You're Gone, he says that he hasn't smiled in ages, and A Little Like Love has the lyric "You make me smile more than I have in a long long while". Also, if "Dead Armadillo" and "If Our Love Was an Outhouse" were meant to be from the perspective of the same person, that says something about his personality.

"Sometimes My Butt Makes Noises", "The Presentation Song", "Striper the Kitty", "The Duck Song", "Bob the Snail", "The Name of My Frog", "The Homework Song", "The Silly Band Song", "I Got a Pea", and "The Valentines Day Song" are sung by a boy of about 10-14 years old, who is starting to get crushes and is a bit of a CloudCuckooLander, not a very good student, and a FriendToAllLivingThings, who lives with all his pets, his dad, possibly his mother, and his little sister (she's the one who knew Striper was a skunk not a cat and the one who says "Tell me the duck story" and "That was a silly snail song")."Love Quardrangle" is sung by another student in that boy's class and "The Love Bug" is sung by some other man not interested in romance and could be the best friend from "The B.F.F Song". Most of the other songs are sung by a man (possibly the lemonade stand owner) who is a bit of a CloudCuckooLander and an ExtremeOmnivore who likes romance, ukeleles, and food, and also owns several pet tarantulas. The two "inappropriate nursery rhyme songs" Tinkle Tinkle In a Jar and The Wheels on the Bus are Falling Off are sung by the man's LoveInterest (possibly the corner store woman) who is a NightmareFetishist. So if that theory is correct, the complete character list would be...
