** Every one of his [[BatmanGambit little games]] ultimately leads to the victim overcoming her traumas/weaknesses and regaining hope. Every one. Afer oh, the third time he does this, this troper will be much more surprised if he ends up the bad guy after all.
** [[spoiler: This might actually be confirmed.]]

* Yeah, this sounds crazy, but it would explain why he's been sticking to a SortingAlgorithmOfEvil, sending weaker people with powerful weapons who could be defeated by Sora in order to strengthen her position in Exaclan while also keeping his position as leader among the more evil boys. Even in the chapter where Sora overestimated her strength and lost all the sealed weapons, El intentionally corrected this mistake in his plan by giving them all to another boy he knew would not have the will (or inherent misogyny) to fight her just so she could win them back.
