In [[https://x.com/Atlus_West/status/1791887822275670525 this trailer]] toward the end, you hear a voice that sounds suspiciously like Koshimizu with the same voice filter used by Aogami while the latter is fused with the Nahobino. The Nahobino's new form is possibly due to Koshimizu electing to fuse with the protagonist in Aogami's stead, either because the latter is dead or is out of commission for unknown reasons.

[[WMG: Mastema is responsible for turning people into salt]]
Humans and demons alike being turned to salt raises a lot of questions, but considering the fact that the Qadištu kill their victims and harvest their magatsuhi, as well as the fact that the act of turning to salt is taken from Lot's wife disobeying God's command no to look back on the city of Sodom, it seems that Mastema would be the most likely candidate for these events. The promotional material states [[https://asia.sega.com/megaten5/vengeance/en/story_character/ he has a conneciton to the "mysterious phenomenon happening in Tokyo"]] and it's within his character to take drastic actions in the name of Law.

Expanding the "Samael mates part of Qadištu" theory and also adding something to the blonde lady

* Given the fact that the demons are known as the Qadištu—an Akkadian term referring to sacred prostitution—and the fact that they are aligned with Lilith, they could be the mates of Samael, of which Lilith is one.

** Eisheth Zenunim, a princess of the glippoth ruling Gamaliel and one of Samael's mates. Her name in Hebrew means "Woman of Whoredom" and she acts coy in the trailer.
*** Jewish mythology said that she eats the souls of the damned and her first appearance in the trailer turns humans into magatsuhi (demon food and nourishment).
** Hel, the ruler of Hel and goddess of the dead in Norse. Possibly collerates to her half-human and half-demonic appearance.

[[WMG: New superbosses will be added to this version]]
There will likely be a few new superbosses added to Vengaence designed to challenge the player. Unlike the base game, they're not required to unlock the final boss, and if defeated, will cause the final boss to gain immense stat boosts. Here's a list of possible superbosses:
* '''TRUE Demifiend''': A harder version of Demifiend who is Lv.200, and is far closer to his ''VideoGame/DigitalDevilSaga'' counterpart in terms of stats, immunities and demon team. Unlike the original Demifiend fight, TRUE Demifiend will nuke your party on the spot if you or your demons come into the fight with any resistances/immunities except Null Sleep and Null Critical, or if you try to inflict status effects on him or his demons.
* '''Vishnu, Seth and Satan''': Considering that Shiva was the {{Superboss}} of the base game, and was also a superboss in Digital Devil Saga 2, its only fair that Vishnu, Seth and Satan get to reprise their roles as superbosses.
* '''Creator Nanashi''': Dagda will be a DLC demon in this version, and Danu is in the base version of the game. Miman are what you get if a Nahobino tries to fuse under the Condemnation; some say they tried too early. After God's death, a whole bunch of demons figured that the Condemnation was lifted and tried fusing, but turned into Miman instead. Nobody tried again, so they had no way of telling when the Condemnation ''actually'' lifted until the Protagonist came along.
Maybe it only lifted when Tokyo started fading.

[[WMG: SMTIII Nocturne takes place in the same "universe" as SMTV]]
Specifically, it takes places after the Create a World for Humans ending in SMTV. As the narration for that ending implies, the world does not last forever and demons eventually resurface. Lucifer, realizing that he can't wrest the universe from the Mandala System through the Throne of Creation, decides to go for his next plan: the Labyrinth of Amala. Taking advantage of the Conception, he becomes more direct in his plans by creating the Demi-Fiend and having him collect menorahs. However, whether or not the Demi-Fiend follows through with that plan is up to him.

** Jossed. [[spoiler: Tao dies along with Sahori only to come back at the end of the game as a goddess, joining the protagonist's party. Miyazu sort of fades from relevancy as the game goes on (only really starring in a sidequest, sidequest), and the real event that splits the rest of group is Bethel's branches declaring independence from Abdiel and aiming to recreate the world as Nahobino themselves. Ichiro sides with Abdiel, and Yuzuru sides with Koshimizu AKA Tsukuyomi.]]
