[[WMG:We will see more references from the earlier games]]

Given the location of the bromides for the characters that appeared in the previous games, the return of Sumire Kanzaki as well as the fact that the Berlin Combat Revue was established after Ratchet left New York for Berlin at the beginning of ''New York, NY'', there's bound to be more references to the earlier games.

[[WMG:The original Combat Revues got thrown into ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars'']]

Sakura, Erica and Gemini are confirmed as DLC in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars30''. It's more likely that while fighting in Shadow Tokyo, they got thrown into the multiverse of SRW, and they will have to spend time gathering the other lost members before they can come back.

[[WMG:The Imperial Key will be the film's MacGuffin]]

The demons will search for the Imperial Key in the hopes of unleashing an unspeakable doom to Tokyo while the combat revues will try to stop them from doing so. Eventually, they will find it and the demons will unleash a powerful attack on Tokyo akin to the Great Demon War, forcing the rival Combat Revues to work together and stop the enemy.

[[WMG:The remnants of the original combat revues will be joined by their current counterparts]]

Not only will we see some faces from the original games such as Ichiro Ogami and Shinjiro Taiga, but they will team up with the new Imperial Combat Revue and competitors from the other revues in the World Combat Revue War to fight the FinalBoss. The team will be led by Kamiyama, Ogami and Taiga. We'll see some of the original Koubus (including the [=F3s=], Tenbus or Soubus), Eisenkleids, and Stars as well. It will be a great ShoutOut to fans of the first five games.

Since we know that the Combat Revues have all sacrificed their lives to save Earth from the demons, there will be memorials and statues there. [[WMG:The reason why
the end latest game changed the characters artist from Creator/KosukeFujishima to Creator/TiteKubo]]

There are two reasons for the change:
* Tite is the artist
of the game, Sumire will ram the Mikasa popular hit manga and anime Manga/{{Bleach}} and Sega wants to use Bleach's popularity to get his fans interested into the enemy's lair to help Kamiyama and the Imperial Combat Revue fight the FinalBoss and it will probably destroy the ship in the process. If Sumire survives the explosion, she'll have to use an escape pod or her own Koubu, albeit with some injuries.

Sakura Wars franchise since sells of the Revues last Sakura Wars game weren't that good and the people of Tokyo they are hoping newcomers will hold a memorial service change that.
* Another is to avoid any bad press
for Sumire at the Imperial Theater or newest game due to the stadium. Sumire will be considered a legend revelation of Kosuke's messy love life. (In 2014, Kosuke finally divorced his 1st wife and an inspiration was planning to everyone in addition to marry his new fiance. However, he was cheating on her former comrades who have perished with cosplayer Nekomu Otogi and got her pregnant, so he married her in 2016 and didn't bother to tell his fiance after she came back from overseas and told her the Demon War.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Combat Revues]]

[[WMG:The New Imperial Combat Revue will face resistance from the very people they wish to protect.]]

Now that the true purpose of the Revues is widely known, there will be those who don't want to see the Flower Division reestablished because they believe it will draw unwanted attention. The last thing they want is to give the demons ''reason'' to focus on their home again.

Complicating matters further, while some agree that it ''is'' important to keep fighting the good fight, they disagree with any revival of the ''theater'' aspect of operations, seeing that aspect as wasteful and unimportant. Why dedicate any time at all to trying to entertain civilians and lift their spirits when they could instead spend that time ''training''? This comes complete with critics [[SpeakIllOfTheDead insulting those who laid down their lives protecting them]], dismissing and downplaying their sacrifice by suggesting that they only died because they weren't ''serious'' enough. Thus, the Flower Division finds themselves having to defend themselves on multiple fronts, and may have to excel in the World Combat Revue War competitions simply to prove that they're ''capable'' of balancing all aspects of their jobs.

[[WMG:The Combat Revue Memorials]]

Since we know that the Combat Revues have all sacrificed their lives to save Earth from the demons, there will be memorials and statues there. They will be erected at Ueno Park for the Imperial Combat Revue, the Place de la Concorde for the Paris Combat Revue and Central Park for the New York Combat Revue.

[[WMG:Additional members during the tournaments]]

In the gameplay videos, we've already seen two members of the Berlin and Shanghai Combat Revues. For the tournament battles, however, there will be an additional member so that the revues can fight three-on-three. Maybe they're new recruits to the team.

[[folder:Seijuro Kamiyama]]

[[WMG:Kamiyama's childhood promise]]

Just before the Great Demon War, Kamiyama proposed to marry Sakura when they were older. Then, the Great Demon War happened and they were separated. Based on the recent footage, Kamiyama might have forgotten about that since that tragedy.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Sakura Amamiya]]

[[WMG:Sakura's past with Kamiyama]]

* Sakura will have a very interesting past with Kamiyama, given that she often sees him as his big brother. Maybe we will get to see them play together only to be separated during the Great Demon War.
* Her parents will adopt Kamiyama when his biological parents are killed by the demons, so that might explain why she'll end up calling him as her big brother.

[[WMG:The fate of Sakura's koubu]]

* At some point during her music video, her Koubu begins to spark. Based on the trailers we've seen, Sakura will either pull a TakingYouWithMe on the enemy or use up all she has to destroy the enemy's mecha. In the aftermath, she'll get the Mugen.
* Or Kamiyama will order Sakura to use the damaged Koubu and destroy a boss' already weakened mecha.
* She'll destroy the koubu during her FinalBattle with Yasha.

[[WMG:Sakura's hometown will be destroyed]]

* The Great Demon War will not only separate her from Kamiyama, but she will be ForcedToWatch her hometown getting destroyed by the demons.
* Maybe Hinata will end up sacrificing her life when she gets perished in the destruction of Sakura's hometown.

[[folder:Clarissa "Claris" Snowflake]]

[[WMG:Claris's magic will go berserk]]

In one of the scenes for Claris's MV, she opens her magic book to cast a spell on Kamiyama shortly after the incident at the bookstore in the location preview video.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Anastasia Palma]]

[[WMG:Anastasia's previous experiences with the Combat Revues]]

We know that Anastasia will be transferred to the Imperial Combat Revue at the beginning of the story. Given that, as well as her past with the Combat Revues over in Europe, she might have been previously involved with the international revue tournaments.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Sumire Kanzaki]]

[[WMG:Sumire's Heroic Sacrifice]]

At the end of the game, Sumire will ram the Mikasa into the enemy's lair to help Kamiyama and the Imperial Combat Revue fight the FinalBoss and it will probably destroy the ship in the process. If Sumire survives the explosion, she'll have to use an escape pod or her own Koubu, albeit with some injuries.

But on the other hand, if she dies in the Mikasa's explosion or in her Koubu's destruction during the FinalBattle a la the UsefulNotes/RMSTitanic, [[WhamShot the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger disaster]] or, in fiction, the [[BittersweetEnding [=DeLorean=]]] in ''Film/BackToTheFuturePartIII'', Sumire will call to everyone via the intercom ([[GoingDownWithTheShip This is my final transmission]]), which will reinvigorate the the Revues to avenge Sumire and eradicate the demons for good. Then, all of the Revues and the people of Tokyo will hold a memorial service for Sumire at the Imperial Theater or the stadium. Sumire will be considered a legend and an inspiration to everyone in addition to her former comrades who have perished in the Demon War.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Yasha]]

[[WMG:Brainwashed Sakura]]

Many have commented that the masked female that Sakura Amamiya was fighting in the intro video was actually Sakura Shinguji brainwashed by the demons as commentators noticed that her hair style resembles that of Shinguji. Thus speculating that the same may have happened to the others.

[[WMG:Yasha's real name is Sakura Shinguji]]

Yasha's not her real name. Sakura took the pseudonym after the Great Demon War.

[[WMG:Yasha will be secretly helping the good guys to stop the demons]]

After the Great Demon War, Sakura will disguise herself as one of the enemies while leaking information to Sumire Kanzaki and the Imperial Combat Revue. Ultimately, they will form a strategy on how to defeat them.

[[WMG:Yasha will regain her memories as Sakura Shinguji after her battle]]

Maybe she'll remember everything after being snapped out of her brainwashing. Think Orihime from the film.

[[WMG:If Yasha is Sakura Shinguji, she will undergo a last-second HeelFaceTurn...]]

Only to get a HeelFaceDoorSlam when she gets killed by the BigBad.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Mister I]]

[[WMG:Mister I's true identity will be...]]

Ichiro Ogami, who has retired as a member of the Flower Division and is currently investigating what really happened to Sakura and his allies during the Great Demon War. Ultimately, he will help the heroes take down the bad guys.

[[WMG:Mister I will have a HeelFaceTurn]]

Once he realizes what President G is really like, Mister I will have his reinforcements help the Combat Revues.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Development staff]]

[[WMG:The reason why the latest game changed the characters artist from Creator/KosukeFujishima to Creator/TiteKubo]]

There are two reasons for the change:
* Tite is the artist of the popular hit manga and anime Manga/{{Bleach}} and Sega wants to use Bleach's popularity to get his fans interested into the Sakura Wars franchise since sells of the last Sakura Wars game weren't that good and they are hoping newcomers will change that.
* Another is to avoid any bad press for the newest game due to the revelation of Kosuke's messy love life. (In 2014, Kosuke finally divorced his 1st wife and was planning to marry his new fiance. However, he was cheating on her with cosplayer Nekomu Otogi and got her pregnant, so he married her in 2016 and didn't bother to tell his fiance after she came back from overseas and told her the truth by letter! The fiance wasn't pleased and sued him for emotional distress. To make things more awkward, his newest wife is 30 years younger than him and is around the same age as his oldest daughter!)
** Most of the Japanese interviews that came out was due to the team making suggestions of nominating Kubo anyway.

%%[[folder:Post-release theories]]

[[WMG:Confirmed]]
[[folder:Confirmed]]

[[WMG:The Mikasa's fate]]

Since we know the Mikasa was taken over by Okubo Nagayasu and crashed into Tokyo Bay after the FinalBattle in ''Fall in Love, Maidens'', the Imperial Combat Revue may salvage and rebuild it with new weapons during the intervening years between that game and ''Project Sakura Wars''.
* Confirmed. A new version of the Mikasa appears in the game.

[[WMG:Sakura will wreck the first performance]]

In the original game, Sakura Shinguji unintentionally caused a disaster during the ''Ai Yueni'' stage play when she trips over her shoes and destroys the stage. Since the game's first play, ''Momotaro'', it will also turn into a disaster thanks to Sakura Amamiya since she has less experience in acting.
* Confirmed.

[[WMG:President G will serve as the BigBad]]

He will help form the World Luxuriant Opera Federation all in an effort to cause chaos within Tokyo using the demons and pitting the Combat Revues against each other.
* Confirmed.

[[WMG:Toshihiro Nagoshi's involvement]]

Nagoshi is a long-time member of Sega and we know that he directed the announcement trailer. He will most likely be involved in some capacity as an executive producer if and when his name does show up at the end of the credits.
* Confirmed.

[[WMG:Sonic and Yakuza developers]]

Since we now know that Sega's [=CS2=] team is developing the game rather than Sonic Team and given Tetsu Katano's previous involvement in the ''Sonic'' franchise, there's bound to be some regulars of the franchise and the ''Yakuza'' franchise involved. Maybe they will include Shun Nakamura or Akira Nishino as producers, as well as Toshihiro Nagoshi?
* Confirmed. Shun Nakamura is the battle director, Akira Nishino is the production supervisor and Toshihiro Nagoshi is the executive producer.

[[WMG:Jossed]]

[[folder:Jossed]]

[[WMG:What will be done about Yokihiko Ota?]]

Since Creator/DaisukeGori unfortunately [[AuthorExistenceFailure committed suicide]] back in 2010 and is therefore no longer with us, the developers and writers will have to figure out some way to write Yokihiko out of the game. Maybe they could [[TheCharacterDiedWithHim kill him off]] and leave Kotone Seiryuin and Kikunojo Oka at the two remaining members, since Creator/KazukiYao and Creator/TaikiMatsuno are still alive. If Yokihiko does show up, maybe a famous actor like Creator/RyuzaburoOtomo or Tsuguo Mogami would [[TheOtherDarrin replace Gori]].
* Jossed. He simply doesn't appear in the game.

[[WMG:''Project Sakura Wars'' will be the longest ''Sakura Wars'' game ever]]

Since ''Thou Shalt Not Die'' clocked in at 13 episodes as the longest game in the series, it's probably fitting that the game should have around 10 episodes or so to restart the series with a bang.
* Jossed. It's eight episodes.

[[WMG:Kamiyama's Demon Power]]

* In the French trailer, Kamiyama reveals that he possesses the power of the demons. Maybe he could get corrupted by that power at some point during the game or become immune to those powers so he can fight them with the new Flower Division.
* Oboro might have created an illusion using Kamiyama's likeness to trick the Flower Division.
* All jossed. Kamiyama doesn't have any demon powers.

[[WMG:The family curse will be...]]

* Her maternal ancestors were destined to die after performing a very powerful spell to kill the demons or reaching a certain age.
* The ancestors inflicted by the curse will die at a certain age (i.e. their 40s or even their 60s).
* All jossed.

[[WMG:Sumire may get a chance to pilot a spiricle armor again.]]

Recall in ''So Long, My Love'', when Ratchet could rejoin the fray for a time in the final mission if players pursued her, in spite of her spiritual energy dropping to the point where she would be unable to pilot one. Sumire originally retired from the Tokyo Combat Revue because of her own dwindling spiritual energy, but if the situation is dire enough, she might just hop back into the cockpit!
* Jossed.

[[WMG:Sumire will die in the battle with Yasha]]

She may probably die trying to redeem Yasha and convince her to return to the Flower Division.
* Jossed. She survives the whole game.

[[WMG:Characters from So Long, My Love will make an appearance]]

Tis the only game in the series that came west...so why not?
* Jossed. They don't appear.

[[WMG:The whereabouts of Ikki Yoneda and Kaede Fujieda]]

Since Ikki Yoneda and Kaede Fujieda temporarily resumed their position as commander and vice-commander of the Imperial Combat Revue, respectively, they might have gone into exile or retired shortly after the Great Demon War.
* Jossed. They don't appear in this game.

[[WMG:Leni Milchstraße's return]]

Given the fact that that Sumire Kanzaki is returning in this game and the Berlin Combat Revue is based in Germany, maybe Leni Milchstraße will become the commander of that revue after returning to Germany in the Great Demon War.
* Jossed.

[[WMG:The possible return of Kohran Li]]

Kohran will return to China after the Great Demon War and serve as the commander of the newly-formed Shanghai Combat Revue. So, she might make an appearance in the game along with Sumire and the other revue commanders.
* Jossed.

[[WMG:The Berlin Combat Revue]]

Ratchet Altair, as we know, helped form the Berlin Combat Revue not long after leaving New York a few months after ''So Long, My Love''. Since it was all but confirmed that the revue would make an appearance in this game, maybe one of its founders will be the captain of the group. Also, judging from the trailers regarding the international combat revues, there will probably one male captain and one female member.
* {{Jossed}} in regards to the members, which are two females (Elise is the captain and Margarete is her subordinate).
