This also adds context to Makoto's phobia of airplanes, particularly her instinctive panic when she hears the sound of a jet engine: [=JAL123=] stayed in the air for slightly over half an hour after the initial mechanical failure depressurized the cabin, long enough for some of the passengers to write farewell messages to their families. Additionally, though the plane crashed at 7 pm, JSDF rescue teams did not set out until the following morning, leaving many who survived the initial crash to die overnight of treatable injuries, shock, and exposure. If Makoto was on the plane with her parents (likely, as the flight happened around the Obon holiday, a time when many Japanese visit their hometowns or take trips to resorts), it's no ''wonder'' she's terrified of planes.

[[WMG: Germatoid is the literal father of all other Daimons.]]
Germatoid is the only male daimon in the anime. And they are "born" from seeds. He is the last of his race, so his sperm/seeds are harvested in Tomoe's lab and put into objects since he has no female to give them life the natural way. So they are engineered to be female to get the race restarted, but Sailor Moon keeps killing each new female he gets.

In the original manga, Makoto (like all of the Inner Senshi) is depicted as being 14 years old in 1992, with a birthdate of December 5th, meaning she was born in 1977. From 1978 to the late 1980s Japan had only two domestic plane crashes involving loss of life: JAL350 on February 9, 1982, and [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Airlines_Flight_123 JAL123]] on August 12, 1985.\\
At the time of the JAL350 crash, Makoto would have been only 4 years old, too young to have retained much memory of her parents ten years later. By August of 1985, on the other hand, she would have been 7. More significantly, the crash of JAL123 was a major event[[note]]as of 2016 it remains the deadliest single-aircraft accident in history, the second-deadliest aviation accident in history, and the deadliest aviation accident in Japan.[[/note]] which is still brought up each year in Japan on the anniversary of the crash, and which Naoko Takeuchi would have been very much aware of while writing ''Sailor Moon''. The crash had four survivors - two of them girls aged 8 and 12 respectively.\\

As for how Michiru has it… French liuthier Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume, owner when Allard renamed it Messiah, made a number of copies to see if visitors could tell the Messiah from the fakes, and after his death there could have been a mix-up (or Allard, who had inherited it from Villaume, may have willingly sold one of the copies). At some point after Allard's death Michiru ended up in its possession, recognized it as the real deal and, unable to prove that this, and not the one at the Ashmolean Museum, was the real Messiah, renamed it Marine Chatedral.

At least for the manga, Nehellenia was said to represent the opposite of Queen Serenity. Queen Serenity (and by extension her daughter as well) could represent the moon in its full phase while Nehellenia could represent the moon in its new phase. Nehellenia was initially released from her prison by an intense solar eclipse, which only occurs while the moon is new as well.

* Alternatively, the Moon Kingdom is, essentially, Versailles. Humans did not originally evolve on the Moon or any planet other than Earth. Humans spread out from Earth and conquered the solar system with technology. That is why the Moon Kingdom was underneath a dome-- the humans on the Moon were regular people and needed an artificial atmosphere. Earth was the original seat of power, but at some point it was moved to the Moon. It is luxurious, beautiful, and there are no peasants there to dirty the place up. An ancestor of Prince Endymion was then put in charge of Earth as a vassal of Queen Serenity.

Sailor Venus is supposed to look a lot like the princess, enough that she can pass for her as a body double. This means they must be close, if not exact, in height and other measurements, and the only obvious visual cue for difference is Venus's eyes are lighter, and her hair is kept shorter than Serenity/Usagi, though still very long, and lighter or darker depending on which version of Serenity you're looking at- present and anime-past her hair is lighter, future and manga-past her hair is darker, sitting about halfway between the two shades. Their personalities are also very similar, even when Mina's ditziness if flanderised in the 90's anime. It's possible she was created by the Goddess Aphrodite/Venus for the Moon Kingdom (or at least, Selene) with the birth of Princess Serenity, with the promise that the infant would grow to be almost exactly like the princess and protect her. These traits carried over to Mina, who has more of an identity than she did originally, though is still vastly like the princess/Usagi in personality due to being Sailor Venus.

What happened to the Moon Kingdom will eventually also happen to the Crystal Kingdom, killing most of the population and forcing civilization back by millennia. Thousands of years later, long after the history of the old world has faded into legend and myth, the Senshi will rise again and eventually form a new kingdom, possibly on the moon this time around. Eventually, it will fall as well. Repeat until the universe dies or the loop is otherwise broken.

*** Sailor Moon C takes place over the course of Usagi's second year in middle school, and Sailor Moon R takes place over the same year. Furthermore, we see Usagi and Mamoru's meeting happening at the end of C the same way it happened in the first episode. The last scene of C takes place back in Spring of the very same year.

[[WMG: Ryou never shows up after the first season because he doesn't have psychic powers in the new timeline.]]
In the first season, the Silver Crystal is initially divided into the seven Rainbow Crystals, sealing the human reincarnations of the Seven Great Monsters. However, in Sailor Moon R (which takes place over the same year as the first season), the Silver Crystal is whole when Usagi receives it. Working from the above theory, the more powerful Queen Serenity in the new timeline was able to defeat the Seven Great Monsters without having to break up the Silver Crystal, and they reincarnated as ordinary humans with no connections to their old monster forms. This also meant they had no powers, which had the unfortunate side effect of Ryou's psychic powers never drawing him to Ami, resulting in them never meeting in the new timeline.

Thus in the future Neo Queen Serenity is a cold and bitter ruler, she has lost her sympathy for those who cause trouble, and banished those from the Dark Moon instead of trying to find a peaceful resolution with them. She is so jaded she isn't even able to express her love to her own daughter, thus Chibiusa doesn't even think her own parents care about her. This also explains why the original future Senshi are so weak, in comparison to the Senshi from the second timeline. When Chibiusa went back in time though, everything turned out for the better, the Senshi get stronger faster, Hotaru, Nehelania, and in turn, Sailor Galaxia are not killed, and Usagi ends up a happier person who doesn't lose her child-like innocence afterall.

[[WMG: Diana didn't appear in Sailor Moon R because Luna and Artemis never became a couple in that timeline.]]
Building off the above theory, in the original, grimmer timeline, Luna and Artemis' relationship remained completely professional. Thus, Diana didn't exist, which is why she didn't appear in the future (unlike in the Manga). In the happier timeline created by Chibiusa and the Black Moon Clan's time travel, Luna and Artemis grew closer (as depicted in the Sailor Moon S movie) and eventually had a daughter, allowing Diana to appear in Sailor Moon [=SuperS=].

Three reasons: violins, trolling and vicious personality, and bust.\\
The violins: aside for her violin being from Cremona, the numbers of Japanese tourists visiting the place just for the violins is so great that when the city Violin Museum (built to better show off and protect the city's collection of precious string instruments) was inaugurated the Japanese ''ambassador'' was there.\\

Sailor Moon's wish was for her and her friends to have their old lives back, and the return of the Dark Kingdom in the present was what changed their lives. However, erasing the Dark Kingdom from history entirely would screw up Usagi and friends' reincarnation in the twentieth century. Therefore, the Silver Crystal granted Usagi's wish in the most efficient way: the Silver Millennium fell just as before, except that when Queen Serenity sacrificed herself with a final attack, she defeated Metallia permanently instead of sealing it away only to return eons later. That way, history was mostly undisturbed, and the Dark Kingdom did not return in the present.

[[WMG: In the new timeline created by Sailor Moon's wish, Queen Serenity defeated Metallia rather than just sealing it away (First anime only)]]
When Sailor Moon changes history with her wish at the end of Season 1, the Dark Kingdom never existed in the present, but the world seems otherwise mostly the same, and the fall of the Silver Millennium seems to have happened the same way.

Sailor Moon's wish was for her and her friends to have their old lives back, and the return of the Dark Kingdom in the present was what changed their lives. However, erasing the Dark Kingdom from history entirely would screw up Usagi and friends' reincarnation in the twentieth century. That way, history was mostly undisturbed, and the Dark Kingdom did not return in the present.

This can potentially be tied in with the previous theory: Sailor Moon's wish retroactively replaced the Moon Stick with the more powerful Cutie Moon Rod, allowing Queen Serenity to defeat Metallia.

[[WMG: The Cutie Moon Rod is the Moon Stick, upgraded]]
The Cutie Moon Rod looks a lot like the Moon Stick, only bigger, fancier, and with an orb in the crescent, where the slot for the Silver Crystal was in the Anime.

In the Manga, the Moon Stick is never seen again after Princess Serenity uses it to defeat Queen Metalia. As far as we know, nothing happened to it and she still had it after that. The next time Sailor Moon fights a monster, she feels the power of her love for Mamoru and the Cutie Moon Rod appears. It's possible that rather than it being created out of nothing, her love upgraded the Moon Stick into a more powerful form.

In the Anime, the last time we see the Moon Stick, the Silver Crystal is still attached to it, and Sailor Moon receives the Cutie Moon Rod right after she gets the Silver Crystal back. It's also shown in flashback that the Moon Stick was used by Queen Serenity in the Silver Millennium to seal Metalia, but there's no sign of the Cutie Moon Rod (which comes from Queen Serenity). When Queen Serenity gave the Silver Crystal back to Sailor Moon, rather than just returning the Moon Stick as well, she may have redesigned it for combat rather than sealing rituals so it would suit Sailor Moon better. She also filled the Silver Crystal slot with an orb because the crystal was now in the brooch.

It's also shown in flashback possible that one of the consequences of Usagi changing the timeline was that the Moon Stick was used by Queen Serenity in the Silver Millennium to seal Metalia, but there's no sign of replaced with the Cutie Moon Rod (which comes from (a similar, but more powerful weapon), both in the past as Queen Serenity). When Queen Serenity gave Serenity's ceremonial instrument and in the Silver Crystal back to present as Sailor Moon, rather than just returning the Moon Stick as well, she may have redesigned it for combat rather than sealing rituals so it would suit Sailor Moon better. She also filled the Silver Crystal slot with an orb because the crystal was now in the brooch.
Moon's weapon.

You have to admit they have a lot in common; they both have AmbiguouslyBrown, always have their eyes closed and each is a ChivalrousPervert . It's been established by fan theory in the past that the Pokemon world and ours are one and the same. Maybe Brock got burned out on Pokemon breeding and so he gave it all up, and moved to Tokyo. There, he met the priestess of the Hizawa Shrine and they got married, producing Rei's mother or father. Hell, even the Abridged Series acknowledges he similarity.
-> Rei: Grandpa! Wear your glasses, damn it! You look like Brock!
