[[WMG:Drogoz is not a dragon, but a lizard man who believes he's a dragon.]]
This would explain his lack of wings and why he doesn't like being called a lizard.

He used to have wings, but lost them somehow, probably due to injury. Now he uses a jetpack to fly again.

He used to have wings, but lost them somehow, probably due to injury.Another potential explanation. Now he uses a jetpack to fly again.

[[WMG:Drogoz is a dragon, but not the flying kind.]]
He is a land-dwelling dragon, but finds flying dragons to be much more awesome. So he built himself a jetpack to take to the skies and be the most fearsome dragon there is.
* Somewhat confirmed. He's not a true dragon, but a wingless dragonoid called a wyrin. Once he got his jetpack, he started acting like a true dragon.

Not only is every champion adorned with at least one crystal, crystals can be found on many structures throughout the maps. For example, ice-cutting machines in Frostbite Cavern, waterfall statues in Jaguar Falls, and the vault doors in payload maps appear to be powered by crystals attached to them. Furthermore, in the cinematic trailer, Bolt powers down his crystal is dislodged from him and powers back on once he gets it back. This implies that crystals are a powerful resource and play a huge part in the lore of the game.
** Jossed. Crystals are banned for being too dangerous for widespread use, thus only the Magistrate uses them prominently. Making crystals available to everyone in the Realm is the one goal of the Resistance.

[[WMG:The dwarves enslaved the goblins at Slipstone Quarry]]
In a patch preview, the developers said that Slipstone Quarry not only has lore for Ruckus and Bolt, but Barik as well. They also mentioned that the goblins were working there against their will, but kept silent about who enslaved them. Unlike Ruckus and Bolt, the developers didn't explain Barik's history with the quarry. It's possible that dwarves enslaved the goblins to work in the mines and Barik, the Master Mechanic, was tasked with teaching the goblins how to build their mining mechs.

[[WMG: Paladins will gain more and more recognition and eventually surpass Overwatch]]

With all the recent mistakes happening between Blizzard and Activision, there may come a time where, over time, ''Overwatch'' will gradually lose most of it's players likely because of Activision's poor decisions in the future. Eventually, some of these players will jump ship to Paladins and once it's player base grows, Hi-Rez, especially those in charge of ''Paladins'', will gain more production value and will start gaining animation shorts (ala Overwatch) in the same level of quality as the "Go To War" trailer.

As a fan of both games, this troper hopes that it doesn't come down to this but... yeah.
* Depends for several reasons.
** Reportedly, despite having an influx of new players coming from ''Overwatch'', ''Paladins'' reportedly kept losing fanbase as said with the Steam playerbase. However, take it with a grain of salt; most of the people who said this are naysayers from Reddit (the place was infamous for it), and we haven't taken account to players from the consoles, which is rumoredly bigger than PC's. Numbers can be rather ambiguous.
** Hi-Rez gaining production value can only happen if those talented people working on Activision-Blizzard and disgusted with the mistakes jumped ship right onto Hi-Rez. For all we know, they could have jumped somewhere else or stayed in Blizzard or [[StartMyOwn made their own company.]]
** All in all, there's also one HeroShooter that already had great fanbase, and both ''Overwatch'' and ''Paladins'' have been rivaling with and also take inspirations from at times: ''VideoGame/TeamFortress2''. Valve may be one of the bigger companies to capitalize Blizzard's mistake and the players might have their exodus back to [=TF2=] instead of ''Paladins''.

[[WMG: Valera and Karne will be future champions... and be the most [[GameBreaker OP]] characters in the game]]

As the leader of the Paladins and the Magistrate respectively, these two need to stand out from the rest of their subordinates. Balancing isn't something that Hirez really gives much thought about, so they will just make those two stay meta for ages like Cassie.

It's been confirmed that Strix and Viktor are old war buddies and that Strix mentored Kinessa. Based off of certain voicelines, it's shown that Strix hasn't seen Tyra in a long time and that Tyra and Ash know Viktor and call him comrade. While this could just be them making fun of Viktor's Russian background, it could also be a sign of recognition for a former teammate. [[https://youtu.be/cnDMw1kuyiA This video]] provides more insight into this theory.

[[WMG:Viktor, Strix, Kinessa, Tyra, and Ash were all serving in the same unit.]]

He is a land-dwelling dragon, but finds flying dragons to be much more awesome. So he built himself a jetpack to take to the skies and be the most fearsome dragon there is.

Considering that Grover was originally from Smite as a mount for Sylvanus and occasionally makes [[https://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/paladins.gamepedia.com/2/2b/Grover_TR_Defeat_2.ogg references]] to his old master, this could mean that Paladins takes place some time after Smite. Perhaps when the lore comes out for Grover, we may learn how he set out on his own.

[[WMG:Drogoz is not a dragon, but a lizard man who believes he's a dragon.]]
This would explain his lack of wings and why he doesn't like being called a lizard.

[[WMG:Drogoz is a dragon, but lost his natural wings]]
He used to have wings, but lost them somehow, probably due to injury. Now he uses a jetpack to fly again.

[[WMG:Drogoz is a dragon, but not the flying kind]]
He is a land-dwelling dragon, but finds flying dragons to be much more awesome. So he built himself a jetpack to take to the skies and be the most fearsome dragon there is.
