**Jossed: It's mentioned in the series (and on the main page) that Elda arrived in Japan in 1619. Sakoku was implemented in 1603. It's also implied that Elda knew Tokugawa Ieyasu personally so any say she would have had with him wouldn't have needed to be telepathic.
