As this work is still in-progress, there is much speculation that can neither be proven nor disproven.
But, as Wild Mass Guessing, one should take all this with a grain of salt.
Please note that spoilers will be abound!
*The stars are actually Harbingers, Keepers, and/or other magical entities. When Yurfaln’s Wound is collapsing, stars are mentioned covering the Wounds. Additionally, Keepers and Harbingers use star-like metaphors; they can “flare,” becoming a Keeper feels like a star being born, and Aulunla collapsed in on theirself before exploding their power outward, like a star going supernova. Lastly, the Sun is definitely weird and indicative of something magical, namely because it gives people such an enormous exposition dump that it burns out their eyes and eats their souls.
