* The art-style for the background characters don't mesh with the Looney Tunes' themselves at all. If the background characters were in an old Batman or Superman cartoon they would feel much more at home. For this WMG I don't even really need to talk about the plot of the show either.

** The fact that due to the rushed production (see above) of this series it ended up as, well, this, might help this theory. Adding on to this...

[[WMG: Originally, the show was meant to be a DC cartoon.]]

[[WMG: The show is a DolledUpInstallment that wasn't originally going to be about the Loonatics at all.]]
* The first season of the show is almost completely divorced from rest of the ''Looney Tunes'' franchise, with the Loonatics themselves feeling out of place in a world that doesn't match their aesthetic. Additionally, any references to the classic shorts are few and feel like they were forced into the script. Considering this, it's not entirely outside the realm of possibility that the show was first conceived as a completely original project but had the ''Looney Tunes'' branding forced onto it by network executives.

[[WMG: The show not only exists in the Looney Tunes universe...]]
* It was made behind the classic characters' backs. The executives at the time "decided" that they (the classic characters) weren't "connecting" with the audience (as the executives see them), and that as a result, the classic characters just weren't good enough an anymore. However, knowing the characters wouldn't approve of it, the executives decided to make this project in secret...or so they thought. The characters did find out, but knew deep down what the good people really wanted, so they decided wait and see what happens, and from there we have the rest of the story.
** Moreover, also in-universe, the show has a [[OurLawyersAdvisedThisTrope disclaimer]] stating that "Bugs Bunny and his associates were not involved in the creation of this program. Warner Bros. Animation is solely responsible for its content", or something to that effect.

[[WMG: Alternately, in the future shown in the show, there are extreme prejudices against ducks that go beyond the FantasticRacism we see exercised against anthros in general.]]
* And so they're believed by anthros who aren't ducks to make themselves feel more important. While the rest of the team doesn't embrace these beliefs, their mistreatment of Duck feels like the prejudices he's faced his entire life and he lashes out in frustration.
