When the other members of Dark Fall died, they returned to their original forms -- even Moerumba, whose original form was ''heat'', was able to shape glass into his image before finally expiring to show what he'd been. Further, the creators was aiming for a 100-episode runtime just like its [[Anime/FutariWaPrettyCure predecessor]] and its [[Anime/YesPrettyCure5 successor]]. The original plan was to have Michiru and Kaoru [[HeelFaceTurn defect from the dark side]] and [[SixthRanger join the Cures for the second year]] just like Hikari and Kurumi. However this season was cut short, forcing the creators to retrofit Bright and Windy onto Saki and Mai.
The creators finally pulled this off [[Anime/FreshPrettyCure two years later]], [[spoiler:when Setsuna Higashi defected from Labyrinth and became Cure Passion.]]

Both are blonde, and their official birthdays are both August seventh. Bu-ling is the KidAppealCharacter, but her series takes place a number of years before ''Splash Star'' and she'd be around Saki's age when it happened. As the Hwang family is poor and already has six children, it's not hard to imagine that they might have given one away. Saki doesn't look much like her family, either...
