[[WMG:It's Dante's Divine Comedy with robots, and the first 9 episodes represent the circles of Hell, with the ultra depressing episode 9 being the center of Hell. The series is similarly called "Sins" because it deals with the theme of Sin, Atonement, and Redemption as did the three parts of the Divine Comedy.]]

The Ruin kills everyone, both human and robot, so the only ones to survive beyond the series are those that are explictly immortal (Cashern and Luna) and the robots that Luna cures of the Ruin. Eventually, only Luna and her subjects would be left with Cashern around to make sure they don't take their eternal lives for granted. Thus, the series is a Reconstruction of LivingForeverIsAwesome; if you have all the time in the world, then do something productive with it.
