Lots of the things he says about his mother hint towards an inappropriate relationship, either with both of them or just on his part. He also expresses extreme resentment and anger towards her, so perhaps after years of abuse, he murdered her. However, after being so attached to her for his whole life, he was unable to cope with her death and blocked the memory. He now thinks she's still alive, and is hallucinating when he talks to her on the phone. [[{{Psycho}} Not as crazy as it sounds...]]
