* At least not entirely. Sure, the fire started when the Bolt replacement accidentally knocked over a torch, but just look at how quickly the whole set went up in flames. No building that's up to code should ignite like that, not to mention the complete lack of a fire suppression system. It's almost as if they weren't taking even basic fire precautions for some reason. But what if that's ''exactly'' the case? Consider how expensive the show's practical effects must be in order to keep up Bolt's EnforcedMethodActing; the budget must be astronomical, and yet we're told at the beginning of the movie that their ratings are down so they're probably not making that back. It's not unbelievable to think that someone in the studio might resort to insurance fraud to make up for their losses. Rather than directly commiting arson, however, the sets were intentionally designed with NoOSHACompliance instead so that there's some plausible deniability in the case of an investigation. When a carelessly placed torch inevitably gets knocked over, the whole place is ruined in the ensuing blaze and the network gets a nice big insurance payout, while this financial black hole of a show is put on hiatus or cancelled. It was an attempt to literally TorchTheFranchiseAndRun. Of course, the person behind this scheme probably didn't expect that the show would continue anyway despite the incident and the lead stars quitting.

* Another alternate theory, Dr Calico's actor was the one behind the shark jumping.

to:

* Another alternate theory, Dr Calico's actor was the one behind the shark jumping. His reason, he is secretly angry with the studio for how much trouble it ended up causing, and he wanted the show to be cancelled to spite the executives. The pigeons could not have been the ones that gave the studio the aliens idea because from human perspective, they can't talk.
* His cats will actually be adopted by him after the show's cancellation.

Many tv shows aimed at kids have supplementary materials like this. A publishing company got their hands on the series rights and began publishing graphic novels based on the in universe series that were much better received than the show.

[[WMG: Theories about Dr. Calico's actor]]
* He is a MeanCharacterNiceActor who took the role because EvilIsCool and/or he has children of his own and is doing the job for them.
* Dr Calico's disgusted tone of voice when he says "ALIENS!" is more than just an act. The actor who plays him is genuinely disgusted at the new direction the executives took and the scene was the best way to express it without causing a fuss.
* Alternately, the actor started to feel guilty over not saving Penny from the fire (while some tried to help until the flames became too much, Calico's actor was not among them, giving him more reason to regret). So he continued the role for only a while, but after awhile, combined with the shark jumping, he also decided to quit the show, speeding up it's cancellation after.
* Another alternate theory, Dr Calico's actor was the one behind the shark jumping.

* If true, the origin story would not give Mysterio sympathy points since it was because of what he and the studio did to poor Bolt that caused all of that in the first place. Fits well with the MCU version.

Simple enough. What’s the cliche of where a dead dog went when you feel like your child is too young to understand death? A nice farm. Bolt and Penny are in heaven, and time moves differently so you’re not without your loved ones for long. It also explains the one odd thing about the ending: the entire movie worked on a strict animals talk to animals, humans talk to humans and never shall they mix. So, how did the alien plot show up in the show? Either there was a scientific breakthrough in-between scenes, or it’s part of Bolt, Penny, Rhino, Mittens and Penny’s mom’s Heaven, inspired by the pigeons.

The show's supposed to specifically be real enough to fool one dog, one very specific dog, but what little of the show was seen (the beginning part at least) seems like it'd take a lot of complicated special effects and similar trickery to pull it off. And such tricks and illusions are exactly Beck's cup of tea, and if memory serves, Beck was a temperamental 'artist' sort, and like the director, lacks a sense of ethics. Presumably, when the show ends up getting scrapped, or got sacked after the fire happened, one way or another, he loses his job...it could serve as easily turning into an origin story if he can't really find any work afterwards.

Because, let's face it, the similarities between Bolt's pretend powers and Mouse's actual powers are just way too ridiculous. You have Super Strength, Super Speed, Indestructibility, and a really loud Bark. Now, who am I talking about? On top of that, both have a little girl they look after, both act as though they are the owners (explicit for Mouse, more implicit with Bolt) and are both very big softies. Plus, the idea of Mouse and Mister talking nostalgically of the 'good ol' days' while everyone else stares on with ridiculous looks is way too hilarious.

Of "The Adventures of Thunderbolt" from 101 Dalmatians. The premise and name are similar, and characters from Lady and the Tramp appear in 101 Dalmatians, so it makes sense for all the dog Disney movies take place in the same universe.

They might be of the [[CharlesAtlasSuperpower Charles Atlas Superpower]] variety, but he's been shown to keep pace with trucks on the highway and drag ladders around by himself with nothing more than his hamster ball. That's unusually fast and strong for a hamster, even one as big as Rhino. So how is he managing that?
