Added DiffLines:

* AmericanKirbyIsHardcore: While the game itself is hardcore regardless which port, the localized port had a few changes to make it a bit less goofy.
** When the time bomb is about go off, Gillian had [[https://cantogamer.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/gillian_18.jpg a comedic shock face]] but the English port had a different face that he is [[https://lparchive.org/Snatcher-(Screenshot)/Update%2042/gillian_5.jpg still scared, but retained]].
** After the Turbocycle falls off, a cutscene shows Gillian comically chasing Random. The English port changes this to just Gillian holding on the back of Random motorcycle, which was transition to the later Japanese ports for Saturn and PlayStation.
** A funny scene after Queens Hospital explodes shows [[http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Hcxs4GEfPUM/TSBHC9NnXQI/AAAAAAAAI1w/VnWlyGYC3EE/s1600/snatch9.png Gillian all tangled up in the air duct when turning on the lights]]. This was removed starting with the Sega CD port, and the ports after had a different scene where Gillian and Metal see a beheaded Snatcher head.

Added DiffLines:

* TakeYourTime: Despite a time bomb is going off, you can take the time all you want if you don't pick to leave right away, as the bomb itself doesn't go off until you do leave.

* NoDoubtTheYearsHaveChangedMe: [[spoiler: Elijah Modnar.]]

to:

* NoDoubtTheYearsHaveChangedMe: [[spoiler: Elijah Modnar.]]NoFairCheating:
** While the game doesn't exactly call you for cheating, if you get any of the answers to Napoleon's password(s) correctly without looking at JORDAN, Metal will ask Gillian how he knew about it, with Gillian responding he probably guessed it (either if you looked online with looking at JORDAN, already knew the answer or like Gillian himself guessed it).
** Even if you know Freddy is the snatcher and not Ivan, the game can't let you interrogate Freddy because of how the game is programmed.

On June 6, 1996[[note]]1991 in the original Japanese version[[/note]], a chemical weapon known as [[ThePlague Lucifer-Alpha]] under development in UsefulNotes/{{Russia}}, is released into the atmosphere, resulting in the death of 80% of the Eurasian and Eastern European population which in turn results in the death of half of the world's population. The contaminated area becomes uninhabitable for a decade, when Lucifer-Alpha mutates into a non-lethal form. This tragic event later becomes known as "The Catastrophe".

Though no sequel to ''Snatcher'' was ever made, the game was remade on the UsefulNotes/{{MSX}}2 as a SuperDeformed RPG titled ''VideoGame/SDSnatcher'', and a SpiritualSuccessor titled ''VisualNovel/{{Policenauts}}'' was released for various platforms. The Snatchers also make an appearance in the "Jamais Vu" mission of ''[[VideoGame/MetalGearSolidVThePhantomPain Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes]]'', in which they're fought by a [[VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance certain cyborg ninja]]. A trailer for the mission can be found [[http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/12/09/metal-gear-solid-v-ground-zeroes-raiden-reveal-trailer here]].

* TranslationCorrection: JUNKER originally stood for "Judgment Uninfected Naked Kind & Execution Ranger," a random string of English words that doesn't have any coherent meaning together. In the Sega CD version, it was changed to the (slightly) more sensible "Japanese Undercover Neuro-Kinetic Elimination Ranger."
