!! Misadventures of Laura Silver provides examples of:
* AccidentalMisnaming: Cooper keeps getting called Copper. As he puts it, it's because his fellow detective is surnamed Silver.
* CluelessDetective: Silver can be played as such if the player lets her paranoia take over, resulting in losing her temper.
* DeadpanSnarker: When examining the hotel light for example, Silver says "It's bright, unlike me."
* DefectiveDetective: Promotional material for the game states that Silver is paranoid and has insomnia. The former is clearly shown in her internal narration as she constantly assumes the hotel staff plan to attack or sabotage her.
* MultipleEndings: The Vodnik case can go in four different ways, and the wrong ones hint at what could've happened in the other routes.
* NoodleIncident: Silver alludes to [[spoiler: her growing up in an orphanage and befriending a dog when trying to talk to Uri]].
* SpillStainSabotage: Attempted on the second day at breakfast, without any input from the player. Silver simply succeeds in spoiling her dress coat instead.
* TheManyDeathsOfYou: For its relatively short length, two out of the four possible endings result in Silver's death. The first is [[spoiler: losing her temper when trying to interrogate the hotel maid, resulting in her being beaten unconscious and trying to escape by jumping off the balcony. Being handcuffed and presumably concussed, she misjudges her landing]]. The second is [[spoiler: simply believing that the Vodnik killed Skoda, then rudely sending Uri away after arriving at the Vodnik's house. Silver gets strangled by the Vodnik's daughter when she is unable to fire her pistol or unjam it in time]]. LampShaded with the death endings having chibified [=CGs=] and being titled accordingly.
* UrbanFantasy: The game takes place in 1935.
