* PuzzleBoss: The final chapter lets you pick between a physical and logical confrontation. The latter meaning Lucious has to use his powers to kill people indirectly while being assaulted

* AgentPeacock: Archangel Gabriel in the third game is rather... flamboyant to say the least.

* AdultsAreUseless[=/=]PoliceAreUseless:
** Detective [=MacGuffin=] gets no closer to solving the mysterious murders, at least until ''Lucius II''... right before Satan himself comes before him and gets him to swear eternal loyalty to Lucius.
** Lucius's crimes aside, he misses [[spoiler:a pedophile and a murderer]] in his own hometown.
* TheAntiChrist: The game has the antichrist as ''[[VillainProtagonist the protagonist]]''. It's essentially ''Film/TheOmen'': TheGame.
* AssholeVictim: Agnes and [[spoiler:Fabius]].

* BlackDudeDiesFirst: Averted. [[spoiler: Will dies much later after the first few victims]].

* BlackMagic: As he kills more people, he gains more powers from his father.
** MindOverMatter: Mostly used to pick up objects, but it can also start up machines and break things.
** CharmPerson: Lucius has a very limited version of Mind Control, which he mostly uses to make people commit suicide. However, they have to be in a weakened state of mind first before they're vulnerable.
** LaserGuidedAmnesia: Lucius can wipe people's memories in case he gets caught. You only get six uses of this in a level.
** PlayingWithFire: Late-game, Lucius gets the ability to shoot fireballs after killing someone.

* CallingTheOldManOut: Lucius' father, Charles, on his grandfather, Fabius.

* CharacterTitle:
* ChildrenAreInnocent: Utterly averted.

* CouldntFindALighter: You steal the actual lighter, resulting in a desperate smoker lighting his cigarette with a gas stove. It goes well...for a while.
* CreepyChild: Lucius, who is essentially [[Film/TheOmen Damien Thorn]] in all but name.

* DeadlyRotaryFan: How [[spoiler:Terrence, [=McGuffin's=] partner]] is killed.
* DevilInPlainSight: Do we even have to say who? A lot of the game's black comedy comes from the sheer obliviousness of everyone in the house.

* DrowningMySorrows: Tom begin drinking heavily [[spoiler:after Jovita's death. This leads to his death when Lucius poisons his drink]].
* ElectrifiedBathtub: [[spoiler:One of the maids is killed when Lucius drops a hairdryer into the tub while she's bathing.]]

** Many people have noticed that he looks a lot like young Hitler.

* FamilyUnfriendlyDeath: Every single one dies in gruesome ways.
* {{Hellevator}}: The portal to hell in the third game turns out to be one of these.
* HeroAntagonist: [=McGuffin=]. At least until ''Lucius II'', in which case he becomes Lucius' [[TheDragon Dragon]].

* LeftHanging: [[spoiler:The game ends with Lucius either in front of his burning house with Detective [=McGuffin=] standing in front of him, or the two walking out together after [=McGuffin=] has saved Lucius from Charles.]]

* LockedInAFreezer: Used for the first kill. Justified in that Lucius locked the door.
* LogicalWeakness: Lucius may be the Antichrist and possess dark powers, but he's still a little boy. He loses every straight confrontation, from adults to another child hitting him with a baseball bat.
* LukeIAmYourFather: As it were in the game, "Lucius, I am your father." from the Devil to Lucius in the beginning. Inverted, seeing as Lucius doesn't react to it as one would think, when finding out Satan is your dad. In fact, he gladly takes his role as Satan's son and starts killing EVERYBODY!
* MadeOfPlasticine: As should be evident from the various death tropes, humans in this game are a lot squishier than they should be.
* MadnessMantra: Starting in the Christmas chapter [[spoiler:Nancy begins singing "Sur le pont d’Avignon" (a French folk song) and giggling to herself]]. During the chapter [[spoiler: of her death, she replaces the second line with "Then he DIED, everyone DIED!"]]

* ManOfWealthAndTaste: Lucius' real dad.
* MultipleEndings: The third game has two endings:
** [[spoiler:Gabriel takes Lucius to heaven]]
** [[spoiler:Taking the knife used to kill Lucifer, Lucius backstabs Gabriel and becomes the new ruler of Hell]].
* {{Narrator}}: Detective [=McGuffin=] serves this role in the first game.
* NonStandardGameOver: Walking in on your uncle and the maid having sex causes you to fail your mission - but only if they see you.
* TheNotSoHarmlessPunishment: Near the end of ''Lucius III'', Lucifer catches Lucius seemingly plotting against him. Lucifer responds by grounding him for a week--except this is right after Lucius started Armageddon, so he's essentially stranding him on earth to perish with the rest of humanity.
* NumberOfTheBeast: Same reference to is as in ''Film/TheOmen'' (see {{Expy}}, above).
* OffingTheOffspring: [[spoiler:Charles eventually tries to kill Lucius, having discovered his true nature.]]

* ThePasswordIsAlwaysSwordfish: The combination of Charles' office safe is [[spoiler:6-6-19-66, Lucius' birthday]]. For some strange reason, he needs a written note to remember it.
* PaterFamilicide: [[spoiler:Charles kills Nancy with a nailgun because Lucius is mind-controlling him. This happens in public, leaving Dad to take the blame.]]

* PuzzleBoss: The final boss of the first game, though less so if you go the pyro route. The puzzle version is marked by a puzzle piece.
* SawAWomanInHalf: [[spoiler: Happens! Except, to the butcher. Who is a man. Not pretty either. Headsplitting!]]

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: In the third game. It turns out that gruesomely displaying corpses outdoors and running a carousel late at night attracts attention. [[spoiler:It's how Lt. Kimble realizes that something is wrong]].
* TentativeLight: Early in the game.

* TurbineBlender: [[spoiler:To Antonio the gardener, using his lawnmower.]]
* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: At one point, it is possible for Lucius to pick up a piece of women's underwear, run around the house and talk to adults with it. Nobody of them seems to notice.

* VillainProtagonist: Of course.
* WeaponOfXSlaying: In the third game, it turns out there's only one weapon on Earth that can kill an angel or a demon, the dagger of destiny [[spoiler: also known as that dagger you stabbed your grandfather with in the first game.]]
* WelcomeToHell: You get this message near the end of the third game when you actually get there.

* KillEmAll: In an ending of the first game, [[spoiler:nobody in Dante Manor survives]].

* ChristianityIsCatholic: Priests are the only clergy in the game. The family have crosses throughout the house but not much else. Fabious even spurns the priests off with anti-Irish slurs [[spoiler: although, he is a closet Satanist]].

* DarkSecret: [[spoiler:Fabius, Lucius' grandfather, is a satanist who made the pact with the devil that made Lucius into the Antichrist.]]

** The Motel owner from the third game is one of Norman Bates, dead mother who he thinks is talking to him, murdering a woman in the shower,PsychoStrings and all.
