It is about the two Weaveling brothers, The Blind One and The Deaf One, who must go on a journey to discover the origin of the Rot that threatens their species. Due to their individual limitations, they must work together, as The Blind One is taller and stronger and can move larger obstacles as well as lift The Deaf One to places he can't otherwise get to, while The Deaf One perceives the world better and can fit into the smaller gaps. He also has a lantern growing out of his head that can be used for certain light-sensitive puzzles, while The Blind One is able to work with the puzzles that rely on audio cues.

!!Tropes present in this game:
* BioluminescenceIsCool: Both The Blind One and The Deaf One have spots on their bodies which naturally glow yellow, with The Deaf One outright developing a lantern on his head. Bioluminesce is also seen in the environments, such as the caves lit with glowing mushrooms.
* TheCorruption: The Rot, an affliction that threatens all Weavelings and which must be stopped.
* DeliberatelyMonochrome: Every time you switch to The Blind One, the world becomes rendered in grayscale. He can also perceive only a limited section of it around himself, but tapping his walking stick allows him to echolocate and thus reveal more of his surroundings.
* DisabilitySuperpower: Played with. The Blind One and The Deaf One are obviously limited in their capabilities, and this is a problem. By working together, however, they can offset each other's shortcomings almost as if their weaknesses are no longer there.
* HeroicMime: Nobody in the game ever speaks, and that includes both of the protagonists.
* TheLostWoods: The game's opening areas are luscious woods.
* PlantPerson: All of the Weavelings are literally weaved from branches. The Blind One and The Deaf One.
* RagnarokProofing: Even though the cities of stone you are traversing near the end have clearly been abandoned for a long time, their traps still function fine.
* SmashingHallwayTrapsOfDoom: This is one of the obstacles present in the abandoned city.
* SwampsAreEvil: The swampy areas are much more dangerous than the forests where the game begins.
