''Watch Dogs: Legion'' is the third game in Creator/{{Ubisoft}}'s ''VideoGame/WatchDogs'' series. The game offers a {{dystopia}}n look at UsefulNotes/{{London}} TwentyMinutesIntoTheFuture, where rising crime and terrorism have led to the city becoming an oppressive police state, ruled by PrivateMilitaryContractors and crawling with surveillance drones. In response, a hacker group called [=DedSec=] has formed and seeks to bring freedom back to the city of London. In order to achieve this goal, they will need to recruit new members to join their ranks...

The main selling point of ''Watch Dogs: Legion'' is the ability to recruit new members into [=DedSec=]: the people of London are so opposed to the city's current direction that any of the civilian {{NPC}}s can be convinced to join your cause, turning them into a playable character with their own set of skills: certain characters excel at combat, other at hacking or infiltration.

The game is set for release on March 6, 2020 for UsefulNotes/XboxOne, UsefulNotes/PlayStation4, and PC.

!!''Watch_Dogs: Legion'' contains examples of the following tropes:

* AttackDrone: London is overrun with surveillance drones, which are armed with lethal weaponry: in the E3 gameplay demonstration, Ian is shot dead by a drone's high-explosive rounds. The same demo, as well as the trailer, also showcase a spider drone armed with a taser which [=DedSec=] can use against enemies.
* BadassGay: Your characters can be in non-heterosexual relationships, and they're all members of a hacktivist resistance, so badassery is a must.
* BenevolentAI: Bagley is a friendly artificial intelligence that acts as an assistant for [=DedSec=], as shown in the E3 gameplay demonstration.
* CaptainObvious: Bagley can sometimes be this: in the E3 gameplay demonstration, Ian, the player character, complains about drones, prompting Bagley to suggest recruiting a drone expert.
-->'''Ian''': Brilliant, never would've thought of that.
* DarkerAndEdgier: While the Bay Area in ''2'' was colourful and optimistic when at its best, London in this game is outright an authoritarian dystopia.
* LaResistance: [=DedSec=] is a resistance group aiming to take down London's oppressive totalitarian government.
* LiteralMinded: In the gameplay demonstration, the player character says "eyes peeled", to Bagley, an AI, who offers the following response:

However, a wounded character is given one chance to surrender, which allows them to be rescued later on by another character.
