* JackOfAllTrades: Kenichi Katana is the first opponent who doesn't rely on a gimmick, he's actually skilled in all the events, instead of being near-unbeatable in one or two like Ricky and Swammi, and a pushover in the others.

* SoreLoser: None of the athletes are happy about losing, but Jack Strop doesn't exactly handle it with dignity, he lies down kicking and sobbing like a spoiled child.

* WakeUpCallBoss: Kenichi, as the first two opponents are basically warm-ups for him.

* TheComputerIsACheatingBastard: Irwin's entire strategy revolves around invoking this. He uses rocket shoes during the 100 yard dash, shoes with springs for the hurdles, shoots his javelin out of a gun, and simply climbs up the pole during the pole vault.
** Swammi is a lesser example, he uses a snake charmer trick to levitate a rope up during the pole vault.

* PowerFloats: Swammi can use his flying carpet to simply float right over the hurdles. Thankfully, he's still not very fast.

A 1992 Olympics sports game made by Interplay and released for the Game Boy in 1991, Track Meet (known in Japan as Track Meet Mezase!Barcelona, and in Germany as Litti's Summer Sports) has many similarities to it's far more well known spiritual predecessor VideoGame/TrackAndField, but sets itself apart through it's comedic elements. Rather than competing against generic opponents, the player is faced with five different competitors of increasing skill - Dumb Muscle Ricky The Barbarian, Swammi Pastrami, Ninja Kenichi Katana, Irwin. B Cheatin, and finally, Jack Strop, the Most Endorsed Man In the World. The player has to beat each athlete in events such as 100 yard dash, hurdles and weightlifting to become the Olympic champion.

Added DiffLines:

* LevitatingLotusPosition: Swammi barely touches the ground at all, prefering to simply levitate everywhere.

* CripplingOverspecialization: Ricky can't even walk upright, much less run, and is a total pushover in the dash events. However, thanks to his SuperStrength, he's a nightmare in the weightlifting event, and the player is very unlikely to beat him there.
* PowerFloats: Swammi can use his flying carpet to simply float right over the hurdles. Thankfully, he's still not very fast.
