* TheStrategist: Besides keeping her role from her home series, [[Anime/RebuildOfEvangelion Misato]] basically becomes the main strategist for the Divine Doers through the game. While there are other characters that play similar roles, circumstances usually lead to them only being present temporarily before having to leave the main group, while Misato is a constant presence.

So we have the Holy Britannian Empire as allies of the Union, and the Chinese Federation working together with the HRL. The United Republic of Europia is also allied with the AEU, but it should be noted that the ''heroes'' of ''Anime/CodeGeassAkitoTheExiled'' are part of this faction.

* ActorAllusion: [[Anime/KotetsuJeeg Kenji Kusanagi/Shin Jeeg]]'s very first SSR, Mouretsu Jigoku Hurricane, is preluded with a RapidFireFisticuffs (with spiked palms open) and Kenji yelling [[{{Kiai}} "ORAORAORAORA!!"]], basically a way for Bandai Namco to acknowledge that Kenji was Creator/DaisukeOno's earlier role before he landed the role of [[Manga/JojosBizarreAdventureStardustCrusaders Jotaro Kujo]].

* AdaptationalIntelligence: While [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEED Azrael]] was never an idiot, he is portrayed as more competent here, and seemingly has better control of his FatalFlaw (letting his wrath make decisions for him). This version of the character is aware that invading Orb would be a PR disaster that could affect him badly in the future, so instead of openly doing it like in the series, he hires [[Literature/FullMetalPanic Amalgam]] to stage an attack, giving the Earth Alliance the chance of entering the country legally to "surpress" the terrorists. None of the heroes is fooled, but they have no way to prove the attack was a farce.

* AdaptationalJerkass: In one of his most unflattering portrayals in the series to date, Shinn Asuka attacks Kira and the Archangel completely unprovoked, despite them saying that they have no hostile intentions.[[note]]The explanation being that the Divine Doers were labeled as dangerous, combined with how he considers the Archangel crew to be just as responsible for his family's death as Orb[[/note]] In ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEEDDestiny'' proper, his conflict with them started after Kira shot at the Minerva.

** One of the more obvious ways this gacha game is different from the usual SRW game is that it's possible to deploy units that aren't actually present in the story. For example, each of the 4 (later 6) worlds of the game has its own set of initial stages that take place before they converge into a single story. Since the player gets units by finishing story missions, a player can finish the initial stages of one world, then deploy the units they obtained there when they play through the stages of a different world, even if those units don't even exist in that world yet.
