* CharClone: Yes, even this is parodied: apart from Masa, who cosplays Char, we have 3-Times, Zaku and Golf.
** Golf actually represents Ramba Ral and his MS-07B Gouf, while Zaku is just a standard Zaku from the original Gundam.

** Though their portraits aren't side-by-side like the aforementioned duos are, one could consider Amuro cosplayer Amiro and CharClone Masa to be this, too.

* OverlyLongFightingAnimation : Practically every EX Super. In particular, [[Anime/GaoGaiGar G-Suneo's]] [[DropTheHammer Goldion Hammer]] has a bad habit of keeping the victim in their "hit" pose throughout the whole attack, which can be quite jarring in Battle Royale mode.

''Super Cosplay War Ultra'' is a doujin fighting game released by "Team FK" for the PC. Since 2004, it's undergone numerous updates with new characters, game modes and stages. The current edtion is "''~Infinity~''" (無限大 or "GENKAI TOPPA"), released near the end of 2014. In a nutshell, think of ''[[VideoGame/SuperGemFighter Pocket Fighter]]'', but with the {{fanservice}} (not ''that'' sort of fanservice) taken UpToEleven.

* ColonyDrop: Amiro's EX Super, which involves her dropping the [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack Axis asteroid]], but [[{{Homage}} performed like]] [[ComicBook/IncredibleHulk Hulk]]'s [[VideoGame/CapcomVs Gamma Crush Hyper Combo]].

* CastOfSnowflakes: Every character is drawn in a different style, though all share a SuperDeformedLook. Judging by the credits, this is because the sprites were all created by different people.

* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters: Which franchise would you like to beat up: ''Manga/{{Naruto}}''? ''Anime/MyNeighborTotoro''? ''Franchise/{{Gundam}}''? ''VideoGame/TheKingOfFighters''? Some time ago in a place called "FK City", a mysterious explosion happened and there was a chemical leak. Citizens got sick from it, but since everyone got better, the incident's HandWaved... that is, until a bunch of them received the supernatural ability to transform into characters and elements from various {{anime}}, {{manga}}, films and {{video games}} and began using these powers under the monniker "Super Cosplayers ([=SCs=])". But, like with any god-given powers, some decided to use it out of selfishness, creating the anti-government group "The BR". No thanks to this power, the military couldn't stand a chance; luckily, some [=SCs=] fought alongside the government and managed to stop The BR.

* Amiro (''Anime/MobileSuitGundam'', specficially Amuro Ray and any mobile suit he pilots)

* Rario (In a nutshell, [[Franchise/StreetFighter Ryu]] in [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Mario's]] clothes)

* Super Astro Man Z (''Anime/AstroBoy'' himself, except a lot more buffier)

* 'Evil Manga/{{Doraemon}}' (The character himself turned into a buff sinister SNKBoss with the voiceclips of Creator/NorioWakamoto)

The team behind this game would later go on to make ''VideoGame/ChaosCode''. Unsurprisingly, that game contains a good few references to this one.

* AffectionateParody - Dur...
** Specifically of ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars'': first, the logo holds the same style as [=SRW=]; second, the bosses are entirely based on [=SRW=]'s OriginalGeneration; third, well, wouldn't you expect LOADS of mecha-based franchises, covered in [=SRW=] previously, to be covered here?

** Non-character example: in order to participate in a special "Extra Battle", have the timer run out during the mode selected. In ''Genkai Toppa'', there's a separate mode for this one: "Another Battle Royale".

* AuthorAppeal: Would you expect Suneo and Giant, who are huge ''Anime/{{Doraemon}}'' fans and who inserted baddassified versions of [[AdaptationalBadass Suneo]] and [[SNKBoss Doraemon]] into their previous project not to leave a mark in ''SCWU''? Well, you wouldn't. So that's why Giant's here.

* ClumsyCopyrightCensorship: Some of the actually existing characters (which is, ''not'' cosplays) will have their eyes covered by a black rectangle. Most obvious examples are Super Astro Man Z during his Astro Boy state (intro and win pose), as well as Giant's ending, which has ''every'' ''Anime/{{Doraemon}}'' character but Giant himself clipped out.

* DreadfulMusician: Giant, a throwback to the same-named character from ''Anime/{{Doraemon}}''. It's even part of his moveset.

* Anmc P (''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundam Universal Century]]'' {{Mecha Mook}}s, such as the Ball and the Guncannon)

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: When you unlock all characters in ''Genkai Toppa'', you suddenly get five empty slots. When you select these, however, the game will throw you to the title screen, which means there were supposed to be more new fighters in the game (otherwise, following the logic of the engine in ''Fighter Maker 2002'', it wouldn't react anyhow).
** Ken+Luigi and Akuma+Wario mashups were mentioned in Erus's ending. [[EpilepticTrees Take your time to guess whether they are supposed to be in the new updates]].
** The entire game originally supposed to be [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuyI8YnVeps a sequel to]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6A7LHx3imA Fighters Kyodotai]]. A few of the elements that warped into [=SCWU=] are the music theme from one of the stages, Gigi (with completely different sprites and moveset, though) and Natuki Kageyama's voice samples which were later recycled for Amiro. Not to say about several interface elements. Of course, we will never know why Aoba didn't hit the [=SCWU=] roster...
