In the year 20XX, Proto Man returns to Dr. Cossack's fortress from his latest mission, where Kalinka asks him how his adventure went. Proto Man complains about all the [[DemonicSpiders Sniper Joes]] he saw, and how same-y his experiences with them are getting. Kalinka thinks the Sniper Joes have much more potential, however their conversation is interrupted when Proto Man's Proto Shield is stolen by a Sniper Joe who runs away. Kalinka warns Proto Man to be careful, as this new Joe managed to get past lab security. Proto Man grabs some Weapon chips and sets off on a mission to retrieve his shield, which unfortunately for him, is full of Sniper Joes.

''Oh Joes!'' does things a little differently from the usual Mega Man Classic experiences. You don't go around defeating bosses and gaining new weapons. The game is more of a puzzle platformer/proof of concept meant to show the creative ways Sniper Joes can be used when placing enemies and designing levels. Every enemy in the game is a past variation of Sniper Joe from previous ''Mega Man'' titles, used and placed in different and strategic ways. There are multiple playable characters, and different weapons to use from the start.

* GoddamnedBats: Lampshaded by Proto Man who has come to view the Joes as less of a worthy challenge and more boring and stale. The entire game is a shade on repetitive Sniper Joes.

Joes.
