* GroundPound: Both the Boar Rider's mount and the Gnome King can cause earthquakes with their sheer weight. The first's quake has a large area and must be jumped over. The second's is confined to a small area, but deals massive damage, and also causes rocks to collapse all around the arena.

The second's is confined to a small area, but deals massive damage, and also causes rocks to collapse all around the arena. Larry himself can also perform one via the sprint-jump-attack combo.

* MagicMissile: The main attack of the Mage boss and the Mage mooks is to rapid-fire magic bolts out of their staves. Like the elemental weapons, this comes in various flavors - magic (deals damage), poison (deals damage and additional damage over time), and frost (deals damage and slows down). Not fire though, oddly enough. The Mage boss can cast every type, while the mooks are limited to one. If Larry picks up a slain mage's staff, he too can fire magic bolts.

** The Boar Rider's BadassBoast foreshadows the dangers that Larry encounters in the fourth act.

* GrievousHarmWithABody: You can use decapitated gnome heads as weapons.

* IFellForHours: The fall into the undergrounds. It lasts about two minutes, but the boulders falling all around you don't make it easy.

* YouHaveFailedMe: The Man of the Flames threatens to pull this on the Gnome King if he keeps failing. He doesn't get to, since Larry is the one who ends up killing the King.

* BraggingRightsReward: Cheats, especially Invincibility, which is awarded for beating the game on Hard (that is, after you've proven you don't need it).

Added DiffLines:

* Kill It With Fire Weapons: Fire weapons are typically the most damaging in the game.

Added DiffLines:

* MagicKnight: The Gnome King, whose primary means of attack is a giant maul, but who also has impressive fire-based powers.

Added DiffLines:

* RequisiteRoyalRegalia: The Gnome King's attire. It is notable that his crown contains fire magic, and his golden scepter can squash someone flat.

Added DiffLines:

* TooAwesomeToUse: Averted - if you treat Rage like this you'll be wasted. Knowing when to use Rage properly is very important.

* BossArenaIdiocy: the Gnome King conveniently keeps a bunch of health-restoring items outside his very room, and the Freak's battle happens in an arena where the spectators throw fruits at you of which the Freak is apparently very fond of. While not necessary to beat the boss, the Boar Rider's battle happens next to a pair of trees that can be beaten for powerups.

* GameBreaker: though they don't exactly break the game, fire-enchanted weapons are probably the most effective of all weapons by the massive damage they deal.

* AdiposeRex: The Gnome King is quite corpulent, which will not stop him from turning you into a pancake with his maul.

* TheArchmage: The first boss seems to be this, as he refers to himself as "the Mage of the Gnomes", implying that he is the most powerful of them all. Indeed all later gnome mages are a lot weaker.

* TheBrute: The Gnome King is a massive gnome who hits like a truck hitting you with another truck. Given that his attacks are very, very hard to dodge, the primary strategy for dealing with him is "manage your resources behind the door correctly, rage a lot and hope for the best".

* ElementalWeapon: Comes in four flavors, all wielded by various minions for you to pick up. Normal magical weapons simply have their damage output increased by 20%. Fire weapons (those are usually the best to have) inflict 15 additional damage on each strike. Poison weapons deal 20 additional damage over time, and frost weapons deal no additional damage, but slow enemies down for 2 seconds (refreshed on each strike).

* LargeAndInCharge: The Gnome King in particular. All the other bosses are also noticeably bigger than the minions.
