* AdvancingWallOfDoom: The demo includes a sequence in the "Peculiar Stuff" world where Larry has to outrun a moving wall of blood-drenched wooden spikes.
* AnachronismStew: Since you going into TV shows, and not true parallel worlds, sometimes inappropriate things will bleed into them from either the real world, or sister shows. For instance, the demo's "Elder Thrones" level has balloons with very modern-looking bombs attached to them as an occasional obstacle.
* ArtificialStupidity: In the demo, the soldiers in the "Peculiar Stuff" world will only detect Larry if he is directly in their LOS, and will not pay any heed to, say, a bat flying around just dropping down for seemingly no reason. Moreover, once you have knocked out one soldier, the others will stand there trapped by his unconscious body, unable to even step over it, let alone try and revive him or drag him off to get help.

* BlobMonster: In the demo, the first enemies faced in the "Peculiar Stuff" world are tiny green slimes. They deal CollisionDamage, but are easily squelched with Larry's boots when he jumps on them.
** Weirdly, the same sort of slimes (though icy blue instead of green) reappear in the "Elder Thrones" world.
* BoozeBasedBuff: When Larry drinks beer in one of the demo's worlds, he burps so hard it results in an explosion around him strong enough to break any cracked boxes nearby.
* ConcussionFrags: In the demo, the small bombs attached to balloons have a tiny explosion radius, and will not even break apart platforms made out of thin ice.
* CrateExpectations: The demo has small wooden crates which Larry can push in order to jump from a better position onto something else. They can also be broken by his burps in order to release coins.
* CreepyCrows: The demo's "Elder Thrones" world has aggressive black crows as its AirborneMook.
* DarkWorld: In the demo, Larry is able to switch to a dark and creepy version of the "Peculiar Stuff" world with a magical remote.
* EverythingFades: Averted in the demo: the slimes you squelched will remain as flat puddles on the ground, and the soldiers you knocked out or zombies you have downed will not fade out either.
* FlashOfPain: In the demo, Larry first flashes yellow when hit, and then keeps pulsing white for a few seconds until his MercyInvincibility times out. The humanoid enemies will just flash white when they are successfully struck by Larry.
* FloatingPlatforms: The demo shows that even the Eagleside Forest of "Peculiar Stuff" has grassy platforms stuck in mid-air.
* FollowTheMoney: Gold coins lay out a suggested path throughout all of the demo's worlds.
* GlowingEyes: Much like in their source of inspiration, the "Elder Thrones" undead have glowing blue eyes.
* GodSaveUsFromTheQueen: In the demo version of "Elder Thrones" area, the show's backstory has an evil queen raise the dead with a magical artifact.
* GoodOldFisticuffs: Most of the soldiers in the demo version of the "Peculiar Stuff" world surprisingly lack any service weapons, and simply punch Larry when they get close. Ones with actual rifles do appear, but they are in the minority.
* GoombaStomp: Demo shows that Larry is fully capable of crushing the tiny enemies like slimes and bats by jumping on them. However, opponents his own size like the soldiers or zombies will have to be stunned first - which works by throwing beer at them.
* HealingCheckpoint: In keeping up with the TV-watching theme, the demo has armchairs act as its checkpoints, which will also restore Larry back to 3 lives.
* HeavilyArmoredMook: The demo's "Elder Thrones" world has some undead wear leather helmets, and so are more resilient than their normal versions.
* HeroesPreferSwords: In the demo, Larry is given a sword by King John upon arriving into the "Elder Thrones" world. This lets him cut down basic zombies without having to stun them and then jump on them.
* HeKnowsAboutTimedHits: The demo has the controls explained to Larry by a "Peculiar Stuff" character Duster, who casually refers to moving with a left stick and the like.
* HyperactiveMetabolism: Larry can restore lost lives in the demo through eating slices of pizza.

* TakenForGranite: In the demo, it's actually a power-up: the magical sword given to Larry by "Elder Thrones" King John can temporarily convert him to a statue, which makes him invincible and allows him to smash his way through every enemy and breakable obstacle if it's activated while he's falling down.
