* EasyModeMockery: Save files that are set to Beginner Mode cannot see the "The Gathering" (original version) and "Birth by Sleep" (Final Mix version) secret videos. While a Normal Mode file can access them, doing so requires getting OneHundredPercentCompletion to view both, and some of the objectives in Jiminy's Journal are intentionally absurd.

Added DiffLines:

* BoringButPractical: Intentionally-short melee combos (especially ones that involve adding Negative Combo abilities to your active skills) don't have the visual spectacle of long ones, but the final attack is the only one that can land a killshot on bosses. Heck, it's to the point where a common tip for the BonusBoss against Sephiroth is to shorten your combo as much as possible.

* SpectacleFighter: As the game progresses, Sora obtains a number of techniques, upgrades, and combo modifiers that make his attacks much more flashy while still being effective.

* AbsurdlyHighLevelCap: The game lets Sora and co. go up to Level 99, but it only recommends getting to Level 50 before entering The World That Never Was, TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon. However, for the bonus content, especially the Final Mix additions, is another story.

* ActionCommands: The combat in the game features so-called Reaction Commands: at certain points during a battle, a prompt to press Triangle will appear, and doing so in time will cause Sora to perform a special move that is usually advantageous. Certain bosses can't be defeated without utilizing them, and most enemies have at least one Reaction Command associated with them. For example, at certain points when fighting Samurai Nobodies, the player is given the prompt to enter a "Duel Stance". Doing so locks Sora and the Samurai in a stand-off, where the command list goes blank and the player has to quickly pick the "The End" option when it appears; succeeding instantly defeats the Samurai, whereas failing causes Sora to take a heavy hit.

* MillionMookMarch: After the wall protecting Hollow Bastion falls, a very large number of Heartless are shown marching across the empty ravine towards the town.

* ArtificialBrilliance: An enemy example, but during Sora's fight with "Ansem" in the Land of Dragons, the latter is programmed to not attack Sora directly, but instead attack the swarm of Heartless during the fight, unless the player is within range of his attacks. Makes sense, considering who it really is.

Sora, the young Keyblade Wielder who was once victorious over the Heartless threat, has recovered from his ordeal in Castle Oblivion and awakens from a long slumber to a new mission. Like before, he must travel through TheMultiverse and use his Keyblade to seal the gaps that the Heartless and Nobodies are using to invade the worlds. But as he travels, multiple questions plague him: just who or what was responsible for ensuring his recovery from Castle Oblivion? What has happened to Riku and Kairi while he was asleep? And just what is his connection to Roxas, a blonde-haired boy whose cozy life fell apart as Sora's was being rebuilt?

* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: King Mickey spends his time trying to fight the Organization and figure out what's going on behind the scenes. Queen Minnie actually does take a bit of action as well during her EscortMission, being able to cast Pearl and team up with Sora to cast Faith.

Added DiffLines:

* TriumphantReprise: Again, after the credits roll, Sora and Riku are sitting on a tree relaxing, when Kairi calls their name and runs up to them with a letter signed by King Mickey in a bottle. Together, the three of them read the letter while Hand in Hand (the battle theme from Traverse Town in Kingdom Hearts 1) trumphantly swells in the background.
