That\'s not a shout-out, \"secret santa\" is a common phrase for drawing names with your friends and buying a present for the name you drew.

There is a specific trope for that.

* EasyModeMockery[=/=]HardModePerks: Mostly averted. Your headgear changes depending on the difficulty level, but the effect is neutral or positive rather than humiliating. Players can earn more points on higher difficulties, but there are no special gameplay bonuses. However, the game will remind you if you are using [[CheatCode cheat codes]].

Revised \"Easy Mode Mockery/Hard Mode Perks\". This is actually mostly averted, since choosing easy modes merely takes away awesomeness (rather than humiliates), and harder modes mostly just award more points.

\"Catstrike\" and \"Mecha Santa\" are the names given to the respective characters, so I\'ve revised the page to reflect it. Also cleaned up spacing a little betwen sentences.

A SpinOff game to DanielRemar's ''VideoGame/GardenGnomeCarnage''.
You're playing as Princess Pitch, a side character from GGC, who is very fond of explosions and bears a big grudge against Santa Claus. Who is a HumongousMecha.
Supported by your trusty ally, Catstrike the Cat, and your mother, the Goddess of Explosions, you blast into Santa's factory and ShootEverythingThatMoves (mainly robotic ChristmasElves, turrets and combat-suitable toys) with explosive bricks, rainbow beams and ice rays, intending to confront Mecha Santa himself in the end.

In terms of gameplay and design, it's basically a cuter and more tongue-in-cheek remake of the obscure, rather dark {{DOS}} arena shooter ''OperationCarnage''. You have a limited amount of [[VideoGameLives lives]], explore Santa's base room by room and defeat hordes of enemies {{Zerg Rush}}ing you.
The game is rather short (only containing four normal stages), and you cannot save, but it has a high replay value due to multiple DifficultyLevels, many paths to take and tons of secrets. It's fast-paced, has smooth controls, and focuses on dogding shots and destroying enemies about equally.
