''Glimmer in Mirror'' (微光之镜) is a 2D side-scrolling {{platformer}} developed by Shanghai's [=MapleDorm=] Games, one which resembles a storybook-fantasy world coming to life.

Shirro, a little earth fairy, unexpectedly awakens in a world devoid of life, before a mirror where behind it, she saw a lush, beautiful forest. Reaching out, Shirro was drawn into the world behind said mirror as the surface shatters behind her... and an adventure awaits the other side.

An ExpansionPack where Shirro teams up with an oriental dragon is slated for release in 2024, in conjunction with the Year of the Dragon.

!! Discover the Glimmer...
* AfterTheEnd: It's not evident in the first forest stage, but later Shirro reaches the factory area, realize the place is filled with malfunctioning machines and hostile robots, and found out after defeating the boss, Gaffey the robot, that the human world outside is no more.
* BackgroundBoss: The second boss, an earth {{Golem}}, attacks from the background, by repeatedly stomping the forest floor to send a hail of rocks to the front and occasionally bringing its fists ahead. Shirro needs to dodge the Golem's rocks and attack when the boss reaches to the foreground.
* BlackoutBasement: In the deeper depths of the underground caverns. Shirro's magical firefly companion is her only source of light while the entire surrounding area is in total darkness.
* ClockworksArea: After the forest stage, Shirro's next level is the factory, which is filled with gears in every corner, either embedded on walls or swinging on pendulums. And at the exit, Shiro has a RiseToTheChallenge stage where she needs to keep climbing up platforms or be chewed apart by gears.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: The underground cavern's boss, Vorgl, is a ''wood'' dragon, complete with leaves growing from his body. Though he could still use fire-based attacks, albeit by summoning a fiery pillar through portals instead of breathing flames.
* EnergyBow: Shirro's Chiling Light spell summons a bow made of light right above her, and fires an arrow made of light as well. However this spell can only attack enemies directly above her (and do nothing else).
* FaerieCourt: Shirro herself is an earth fairy, and she encounters other fairy folks as {{NPC}}s after the first stage, including a Fairy Court with a Fairy Queen she must seek for her quest. She's also tasked with completing a series of trials so she can become the next Fairy Queen.
* HandBlast: Shirro's sole attack to clear obstacles in her way, firing blue energy projectiles from her hands thanks to being empowered by Lyo. She can also released as ChargedAttack called Light Impact.
* HatOfPower: Shirro's ability to fire beam attacks comes from her trusty CoolCrown companion, Lyo. Who can ''[[AnimateInanimateObject talk]]''. In fact, it was Lyo who advises Shiro to put him on when they meet in the first stage.
* HulkSpeak: Lyo the talking crown speaks like this. Including "Lyo think so!" and "Put Lyo on!"
* LightEmUp: Shirro, and all the fairies, uses light as their source of energy, though the game exclusively calls it "Glimmer Energy".
* {{Macrozone}}: Of the small character variety, Shirro and the fairies are smaller than seeds exploring a ''huge'' forest environment.
* MechaMooks: Enemies in the factory level are all robots, seemingly the leftover of some ancient civilizations.
* MonsterIsAMommy: The first boss, a giant-sized version of the reptile-bird, turns out to be seeking its child, and she stops attacking Shirro in the cutscene after Shirro reveals her egg (which promptly hatches).
* NonMaliciousMonster: All the bosses who attacks Shirro turns out to be driven crazy because of various reasons, like the Winged Reptile seeking it's child and the rock Golem from a mysterious spike embedded in it's back. Once Shirro wins, she helps them lift whatever curses and DefeatEqualsFriendship quickly follows.
* RollingAttack:
** The forest stage's enemies are reptilian creatures who can perform a rolling tackle on Shirro, including their KingMook boss fought at the stage's end.
** After facing Vorgl, the next area throws golem-like enemies made of rock who attacks exclusively by rolling. They can bounce all over the place this time and are much harder to defeat.
* SteamVentObstacle: Curiously enough, this type of challenge shows up in the underground caverns and ''not'' the factory stages, where it at least makes sense. There are areas with cracked walls that spews steam which can damage Shirro's health, and she needs to time her jumps to avoid getting hurt.
* ThemeMusicPowerUp: This happens in ''every'' boss fight; for most of the game, whenever Shirro is jumping around platforms, exploring a new environment or facing simple, mook-grade enemies, the background music would be a soothing, serene melody, until she stumles across a boss multiple times larger than her who takes several minutes to destroy. Cue the music turning epic and intense for action - and then back to soothing and gentle after the action.
* TimeStandsStill: One of Shirro's later power-ups is a spell that stops time for five seconds. It's especially useful in the factory area which filfills NoOSHACompliance, what with swinging pendulums and deadly collapsing gears everywhere.
* ToughBeetles: The forest levels contains a variety of insect enemies, but the hard-shelled, winged beetles are the strongest, shrugging off every spell Shirro throws at it even with the Light Impact. Instead, she must wait for the beetle to take off, rush behind it, and fire at an exposed spot to knock it over.
* WorldOfTechnicolorHair: Shirro and all the other fairies, basically. Shirro's hair is a shade of turquoise-green (and is visibly ''glowing'') while fairies tends to alternate between orange, pink, yellow, purple, and so on.
