Geneticognito is an Action StealthBasedGame developed by Blob Games for Windows, released on 9th June 2017. It is available to buy on either Steam or Itch.io.

A genetic experiment called Rane lies captive deep within a mysterious facility. When the facility suddenly comes under attack, Rane decides to use the distraction as an opportunity to finally escape. Soon her captors take notice and are determined to prevent that from happening. Having to contend with the facility's defences, hostile genetic experiments and eventually the captors themselves, Rane's got her work cut out for her. Fortunately, being trapped and experimented on for years has the side-effect of giving her the advantages necessary to make her goal of freedom possible.

The game acts as a prelude to the events of Super Gear Quest, which came out in 2020.

!! This game contains examples of:
* AttackDrone: Flying robots get deployed by the facility from various hatches on the walls scattered throughout the levels to attack Rane if the alarm is triggered.
* BigBadDuumvirate: Professor Gruplin and .
* BoomerangBigot: looks down on Rane for being a genetic experiment, despite being one themselves.
* TheDragon: Clebyte, the assistant of Professor Gruplin.
* EarlyBirdCameo: from Super Gear Quest can be found as one of the secret characters hidden in the facility.
* EscapedFromTheLab: The objective of the game is for Rane to escape from said laboratory.
* EternalEngine: The facility Rane is trying to escape.
* FinalBoss:
* FlashOfPain: Every time Rane gets hurt, the screen briefly flashes with a red static.
* AnIcePerson: .
* MadScientist: Professor Gruplin.
* OptionalStealth: Normally, the idea is to avoid the yellow lasers and searchlights so the alarm doesn't get tripped, since that temporarily locks the exit to a level and summons robotic drones to hunt Rane down; however, it's still perfectly possible to simply rush to the exit door and blast any drones that appear until the exit opens again (although later areas, which contain additional hazards, make this a little more difficult).
* PhlebotinumRebel: Rane.
* PostDefeatExplosionChain: Every boss, after being defeated, emits several small explosions before exploding violently in a big white flash. A variant comes from who explodes in a blue flash instead.
* ProductionForeshadowing: There are two things which hint to the later game Super Gear Quest, which would only become clear in the game in question:
** The androids detected by the facility's systems at the beginning of the game are .
** The "masterpiece" that Professor Gruplin mentions before his boss fight, which is simply called appears in the later game as .
* ShowsDamage: Damage dealt to enemies, destructible boxes or Rane herself is displayed by a number that appears beside them if they aren't taking damage for a couple of seconds.
* TakeOverTheWorld:
