''Fullmetal Alchemist: Stray Rondo''[[note]]Meisou no Rondo[[/note]] is an EasternRPG SpinOff of the Franchise/FullmetalAlchemist franchise, released for UsefulNotes/GameBoyAdvance in 2004. It was followed by a sequel, VideoGame/FullmetalAlchemistSonataOfMemories. While the game was released [[NoExportForYou only in Japan]], it got a FanTranslation, found [[https://www.romhacking.net/translations/2882/ here]].

The game starts with Edward and Alphonse investigating rumors about the Philosopher's Stone, that turn out to be fake. As they head back to the Central city, their train is attacked by a chimera. Brothers are joined by [[CanonForeigner Corniche "Cony" Royce]], a girl who was heading to the Central city for State Alchemy Exam. Together they manage to repel the attack, and start to investigate the incident.
----
!!The game contains examples of:
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: That's why [[GoldfishPoopGang Randy and Cate]] are so loyal to Lincor.
* CanonForeigner: Two of the party members - Corniche R. Royce and Lieutenant Colonel Aston Martins were created specifically for the game. The same goes for the BigBad Lincor and his henchmen Randy and Cate.
* CognizantLimbs: The final boss is separated into three parts - he himself, fused with a stone wall, and two ghostly apparitions - a hand and an eye.
* TheCoatsAreOff: In addition to Ed and Armstrong taking their coats off before every battle, Martins does the same. Guess coats and asskicking don't mix very well in this series, huh?
* CombatantCooldownSystem: The game uses a two-part cooldown. Before party member can be given orders, their gauge must fill with yellow. Normal attacks and items are used right away, but skill must be prepared, signified by a green gauge. Gauges keep filling during animations, giving an incentive to use your skill in such a way that minimizes the amount of enemy's attacks.
* TheDarkSideWillMakeYouForget: {{Justified}} example for TheBigBad. [[spoiler:Lincor ''never had'' the Philosopher's Stone. The only reason why he's so good at alchemy is because he trades his precious memories for power]].
* EvilFormerFriend: [[spoiler:Lincor, or, rather, Seraphy, is one for Martins. The latter is reculant to figh his old friend, while the former doesn't even remember him]].
* FragileSpeedster: Riza has the least amount of HP among the party, but is very fast, not only being the first to act, but also often dodging enemy attacks outright. Her damage outut leaves a lot to be desired, though.
* GoldfishPoopGang: Randy and Cate are a pair of silly and [[MinionWithAnFInEvil not-really-evil]] alchemists, who just won't stop getting in your way.
* GunsAreUseless: Riza uses a pistol, but her attacks deal no more damage than punches and kicks of the rest of the party. Downplayed for some of Ed's alchemy attacks, where he creates a cannon. It's a powerful attack, but nowhere near how powerful it should be.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:Aston Martins]] makes a sacrifice to save the party from a particularly strong chimera.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Cony throws ''darts'' at the enemies.
* InSeriesNickname: Corniche is nicknamed "Cony", and reffered to as such even in the game's UI.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: Aston Martins uses a katana in addition to his [[ShockAndAwe thunder alchemy]].
* LazyBackup: You has three people on screen, and four more in the reserve. They still won't help you.
* MoneyForNothing: There's really nothing that you can spend your money on. The party doesn't use any equipment, and there's no shops that sell consumables. There are some people who offer you rare material cards… That you can create yourself with a bit of patience. It's no wonder that money were axed altogether from the sequel.
* NonLethalKO: Party members with depleted HP aren't even knocked out. They are simply grayed out and put into "wounded" animation. They even will run around if the combat moves away from them! Thankfully, they can be revived with any healing, not requiring specific "raise" items.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Cate is 16 years old, but looks about half her age. Her childish demeanor and fondness of dolls does not really help.
* TheReveal: Surprise! Lincor is [[spoiler:Seraphy Royce, Cony's brother and Martins' old friend]].
* SpontaneousWeaponCreation: As in the source material, Ed can use surroundings to create weapons. It's presented as a set of five cards, that the player can combine in certain ways[[labelnote:In short]]When combining cards, all numbers listed on them are summed up. Left and right numbers determine which set of attacks is avilable, while central value determines the strongest attack avilable from the set.[[/labelnote]] to create attacks far more powerful than usual. As Ed is the only one able to do this, he is easily the strongest character in the game.
* SuperMovePortraitAttack: Activation of certain skills is accompanied by a short animated scene, like Ed clasping his hands, or Cony holding a ball of light. Pretty impressive, given the console the game's on.
* WhiteMagicianGirl: Cony is the only character who wields healing alchemy, and as such has a healing skill.
* ZettaiRyouiki: Cony wears a short blue dress and pink stockings to this effect.
