* DarkSkinnedBlond: Of sorts. Fierro has black skin and white hair, presumably to Foreshadow [[spoiler:that he is actually from the World of Shadows]].

* BalefulPolymorph: The Princess is transformed into a hideous beast after she unwittingly ate the forbidden Wisdom fruit.

The justification for this is that the epilogue takes place after a CosmicRetcon, and the two characters would probably have a romantic build-up in this new continuity (which the protagonist, and the audience, don't get to see).

* DiscountLesbians: Joelle is engaged to Linette, but since fairies don't actually have genders, they don't technically qualify as lesbians, even if they both ''look'' female and are referred to in female pronouns.

* RedemptionEqualsDeath: The only way to free [[spoiler:Downey]] from Elvira's brainwashing is to kill him.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: The whole conflict started when one of the protagonist decided to take the forbidden Fruit of Wisdom.

* SignificantGreenEyedRedhead: Josefine, an amnesiac VampireHunter who helped the heroes confront Elvira, and eventually face the BigBad with them. And she attracts Fierro enough to make him stop flirting with Jean.

* RetGone: [[spoiler:Downey]] does not appear in the Epilogue. Granted, [[spoiler:being a manifestation of Noah, he never actually existed]], and is thus erased from the "true" reality.

* LastMinuteHookup: In the new reality of the epilogue, Fierro is suddenly engaged to Josefine. Justified since the ending basically takes place in AlternateUniverse, where the two likely had more romantic encounters than what was shown on-screen. And to be fair, they do exchange some meaningful interactions over the course of the game, just nothing that could be interpreted as "romantic".

For instance, when he and Downey were duelling for the Princess' hands [[spoiler:he was the one to realize that it was a trap, and the "Princess" is actually Elvira in disguise]]. Downey later admits that Jean is much wiser than he is.
