Also in Eat Lead, he still thinks that he's the Big Bad since he gloats about his own evil plan, thinks that he's still affiliated with the Soviet Union, and does not seem to know about Wallace either.

To be more specific, I meant when it comes to using the aforementioned term to describe the main character Matt.
Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
I realize that it's kind of redundant to use the term "Empowered Badass Normal". Since Matt is a video game character and him being a video game character plays a role in the story, he already has superhuman durability (as shown from the amounts of bullets he can endure, even at point-blank, superhuman strength as shown when he beats up fully-armored opponents with his bear hands such as the Soak'Em Commandoes, some Space Marines who are fully armoured from head-to-toe, etc., and regeneration that can only work if he takes cover. Either that, or it's an in-universe example of Gameplay Story Segregation.

* EmpoweredBadassNormal: Matt can become this with the Ice Upgrade or Fire Upgrade.

* VideogameObjectives: Parodied early on when Matt complains in response to a LongList of mission objectives, so QA changes it to "Kill everything that moves". Later mission objectives include "Follow Sting Sniperscope into the obvious trap" and "Hey, weren't you the star of the Matt and Dexter games? Your place sucks compared to this!"

** Which is still not quite GenreSavvy, since the average player will have figured that out in less than a second just from the color.

* GenreSavvy: Eat Lead is supposedly only the latest in a long series of games, and Matt knows the score by now.

* Troperiffic: The game gleefully throws many different cliche enemy groups (cowboys, Russian terrorists, space marines...) and Matt Hazard himself, despite being a GenreSavvy Medium Aware FourthWall breaking character, is still very much a "ShootEverythingThatMoves" hero, and takes personal pleasure in well-aimed headshots and big guns.
