A LicensedGame based on Film/DennisTheMenace, released in 1993 by Ocean Software for the SNES, UsefulNotes/GameBoy, and UsefulNotes/Amiga [=CD32=] by Ocean Software.

The plot of the game is that Switchblade Sam has stolen Mr. Wilson's coin collection and kidnapped Margaret and Joey, so Dennis has to find the missing coins, defeat Sam, and rescue his friends.

You play as Dennis, and the goal of each level is to find five of Mr. Wilson's missing coins so Dennis can return them to him at the end of the game. With the exception of Mr. Wilson's house, which consists of a single stage, and the Park, which has six action stages, each world has four action stages and one boss stage. Dennis can use his squirt gun, slingshot, and peashooter to attack enemies.

----
!! This game provides examples of:
* AbsurdlySpaciousSewer: The fourth world takes place in a sewer. Enemies include alligators, bats, fish, and ninja turtles. Dennis also has to jump across bubbles that rise from the water to cross big gaps. The boss of this world is a giant fish with disappearing platforms.
* AdaptationExpansion:
** The Boiler Room and Sewer stages are not shown in the film and were created for the game.
** Betty Sue Dubroski and Coach Beeferman are characters not seen in the film and were created for the game.
* AutoScrollingLevel: The Park features two of these levels. While dodging enemies, you have to make sure that Dennis' dog, Ruff stays close, because you will need him to make certain jumps. If you fail to make these jumps, you'll have to start the level from the beginning, and because the time limit doesn't reset when Dennis loses a life, it may run out, resulting in Dennis losing all of his lives.
* BeeAfraid: Bees serve as common enemies in the Woods levels.
* BigBad: Switchblade Sam, who has stolen Mr. Wilson's coin collection and captured Joey and Margaret.
* BlueIsHeroic: Dennis is depicted wearing an all-blue outfit in this game.
* BullyBulldog: Bulldogs serve as common enemies in the Woods levels.
* BratsWithSlingshots: A slingshot is one of the weapons Dennis can use in the game, and the game's box art even depicts him holding it.
* CatsAreMean: Cats serve as common enemies in the first level, Mr. Wilson's house.
* CollapsingCeilingBoss: The first boss is Betty Sue Dubroski, a deranged girl riding a swing. While Dennis attacks her, he has to dodge acorns that fall out of the tree above them.
* DamselInDistress: Margaret and Joey are captured by Switchblade Sam, and Dennis has to defeat him in order to rescue them.
* DubNameChange: The PAL version of the game is simply titled Dennis due to a British comic strip sharing the same name as the American comic strip the film is based on.
* EdibleAmmunition: The final boss, Switchblade Sam, attacks Dennis by tossing apples at him.
* EternalEngine: The third world takes place inside a boiler room, where acid drips out of pipes, steam shoots everywhere, and anthropomorphic flames serve as enemies. The boss of this world is Coach Beeferman.
* EvilLivingFlames: Anthropomorphic flames appear as enemies in the boiler room stages. These enemies cannot be destroyed, not even by the water gun (it only temporarily stuns them).
* HeartsAreHealth: Dennis' health bar consists of seven hearts. He loses one if he gets hit by an enemy, but can regain health by finding pieces of candy.
* IdleAnimation: When Dennis is left alone for a few seconds, he chews bubble gum and blows a bubble.
* LawyerFriendlyCameo: Ninja Turtles serve as enemies in the Sewer levels.
* TheLostWoods: The Park and The Woods, which are the respective second and fifth worlds. Both stages are filled with trees and have woodland creatures as enemies.
* MarathonLevel: The Auto-scrolling Park levels go on for about five minutes if you don't lose any lives. If you do, they can go on for over twenty minutes.
* NonStandardGameOver: If Dennis runs out of time, he loses all of his lives.
* OneHitKill: In the first stage, Mr. Wilson's house, if Mr. Wilson catches Dennis, Dennis instantly loses a life.
* PlotCoupon: To clear a level, Dennis has to collect five coins from Mr. Wilson's coin collection before he can touch the goal. If he loses a life, he retains the coins he found.
* PowerUpFood: Collecting candy restores Dennis' health.
* SewerGator: Alligators serve as common enemies in the sewer levels.
* SuperDrowningSkills: If Dennis falls into the water in the sewer levels, he instantly dies.
* TemporaryPlatform: During the boss battle with the giant fish in the sewer levels, the platforms disappear and Dennis has to jump to the next available one.
* TimedMission: This game gives you 999 seconds to complete a level. Fail and you lose all your lives. The catch is that the timer doesn't reset if you lose a life, so you'll have to start the level from the beginning while the timer is still ticking.
* AWinnerIsYou: Your reward for beating the game is to watch Switchblade Sam being hauled away in a wagon pulled by Ruff while Dennis, Joey, Margaret, and Mr. Wilson stand under "THE END".
