* DescriptionCut: Rick Dalton ends the intro by saying "[[TemptingFate We can only hope the creature decides not to attack]]", which is followed by a button for starting the game, labelled "ATTACK!"

* DualBoss: Metronia's boss is a pair of tanks. The boss of Hammascus is a pair of helicopters. In Nishikyo you fight both the previous bosses, the Super Tank and the Doom Jet, at once.

* FantasyCounterpartCulture: The game is set on a fictional Earth-like planet with only 7 countries, most of which notably take after certain real countries. Metronia is America, Hammascus is Russia, Kingsland is England, Szelk'Ra is Egypt, Nishikyo is Japan. The last 2 countries, instead, are fictional and polar opposites, with Xion being a futuristic utopia and Ultimatum being a cyberpunk dystopia.

* HumongousMecha: Penultimate level in Ultimatum has General Moustache pilot a giant robot to take on Colossatron personally.
