* AdaptationalContextChange: The line 'truly, you’ve saved us all'. In the original game, it’s spoken by the Director after the player frees the island from BigBad Herbert. In ‘’[=CP3D=]’’, Gary says it to the player once they stop the destructive dimensional rifts.

[=CP3D=], (formerly Club Penguin 3D), was a FanRemake of the browser game VideoGame/ClubPenguin. The game aimed to recreate the original game in a 3D environment in a more faithful manner than the official follow-up to VideoGame/ClubPenguin, Club Penguin Island.

While a lot of the game's content was adapted directly from the original game, the game boasted its fair share of custom content, such as original parties, items and a completely different storyline following the disappearance of the PSA's Agent R. The player is recruited into the Penguin Secret Agency after finding his secret headquarters, and has to investigate different incidents around the island that seem to be linked to him.

The game was shut down in 2023 following the game's most ambitious custom party, The Rift, which concluded the Agent R storyline. The dev team have confirmed an offline version is slowly being developed.

----
!![=CP3D=] provided examples of:
*AccessoryWearingCartoonAnimal: The penguins and puffles, as in the the original. But this time, in 3D!

*TheAce: Agent R. He powers his hideout using nothing but sweetcorn, survived years trapped in the Box Dimension, and his Black Belt implies he previously mastered the martial art, Card-Jitsu.

*AchievementSystem: The stamp book, as in the original game, tracks your achievement across certain minigames. New stamps were also added to games that didn't have them before, such as Bean Counters and Hydro Hopper.

*AcidTripDimension: The Box Dimension, with its purple sky and floating cardboard boxes, which serve as portals to other dimensions. During the Rift event, it becomes unstable and causes these Dimensions to collide with each other.

*AdaptationalAlternateEnding: The original game ends with the penguins all leaving the island for a new, recently discovered one similar to, but not the same one as the one in Club Penguin Island, which is an AlternateContinuity. In [=CP3D=], The Rift takes place. Once it's stopped, the island is returned to normal and life goes on, even though the game is no longer accessible.

*AdaptationalBackstoryChange: In this game, the Golden Puffles are from an alternate dimension resembling Ancient Egypt, rather than living underground.

*AdaptationalBadass: The Cactus and Plunger Power Card animations were relatively tame in the original. The third dimension allows for new camera movements and more dramatic poses that make them seem more impressive in comparison.

*AdaptationalContextChange: The line 'truly, you’ve saved us all'. In the original game, it’s spoken by the Director after the player frees the island from BigBad Herbert. In [=CP3D=], Gary says it to the player once they stop the destructive dimensional rifts.

*AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: Rookie and PH. They are both agents for the PSA and EPF respectively. In the original game, they appear in missions, and are later introduced as meetable mascot characters. In [=CP3D=], they were meetable as mascots before the PSA is ever introduced.

*AdaptationalLateAppearance: Since both games’ stories occur in real time, every character introduced is an example of this. For example, in VideoGame/ClubPenguin, Sensei first revealed himself to the public in 2008, but in [=CP3D=], it was in 2020.

*AdaptationalVillainy: In Club Penguin, the Extra Planetary Federation is tasked with rescuing aliens on the planet Upzar II. In one of [=CP3D=]'s alternate dimensions, they instead ransack the island for resources.

*AdvancedTech2000: Gary uses 3000 at the end of his inventions - The player can obtain an older prototype used by Agent R, the Spy Phone 1000, at the end of The Rift event.

*AerithAndBob: The game sports names from Rockhopper to Gary. The trope applies to Gary himself - his alternate dimension counterpart is called Gartree.

*AfterTheEnd: The Dilapidated Dimension is an alternate version of the island that is completely abandoned and overgrown with plant life. Nobody seems to know what happened to it.

*AlienInvasion: The Invaded Dimension is currently being invaded by aliens from Upzar II.

*AllegedlyFreeGame: Downplayed in comparison to the original. Up until 2020, the game had a Patreon, but the benefits of this were limited to exclusive pins, backgrounds and Early Access builds - everything else was completely free.

*AlternateContinuity: The story of the PSA is completely different, with BigBad of the original game Herbert P. Bear not even receiving a mention. The order that parties take place, minigames are developed and buildings are discovered is also totally different.

*AmazingTechnicolourWildlife: Penguins can be just as colourful as the original, including a new colour, Mint.

*AnIcePerson: White puffles return and can freeze liquids at will. They’re first obtainable in an ice cave, complete with ice sculptures and furniture.

*AscendedMeme:
**Richard. Originally just the standard penguin model accidentally left in one of the rooms, he was named by the fans who speculated on his goals, and once he was finally removed, his disappearance. The devs used this as the foundation of the Agent R storyline.
**The Tree Gang was a group of fans would would dress in tree costumes and patrol the island. A literal Tree Gang from another dimension can be found in the forest during The Rift.
**A running gag among the community was that the lead modeller of the game, Wydrop, had a secret basement he kept all the mascots in. The Basement Dimension appears during The Rift, with the hats belonging to the mascots scattered along the floor, and a silhouette resembling Wydrop’s character behind bars.

*AssemblyLineFastForward: Pizzatron 3000, a minigame where you have to create pizzas along one of these, returns, alongside Shrimp Mode, which starts at a faster speed and involves making harder recipes.

*BilingualBonus: The tracks for the Pipe Maze, Tiefsee-Tunelsystem, and Engine Room, Geheimraum im Tiefsee, are titled in composer [=Dialga22239=]’s native German. They mean ‘The Sewerage System under Deep Sea’ and ‘Secret Room in the Pond’s Depths’ respectively.

*BittersweetEnding: One of the final videos on the [=CP3D=] Website/YouTube channel features the penguin from [=CP3D=] Ice Fishing in a white void, complete with the classic music. When their rod breaks, they're helped out by the penguin from Experiemental Penguins, VideoGame/ClubPenguin and Club Penguin Island a game [=CP3D=] was frequently compared to. They all sit down and fish together as the camera looks towards the sky. Even though the game is over, just like the games that inspired it, its history and community remain. Made slightly more bitter by a joke on Twitter revealing that the void has no internet access.

*CartoonPenguin: The player characters are these. But in 3D!

*CaveBehindTheWaterfall: It leads into the sewer system, used during the mission, ‘A Welcoming Flood’.

*ChekhovMIA: The PSA storyline revolves around Agent R being missing. He eventually shows up to save the day at the end of The Rift’s mission.

*CollectionSidequest: Stamps, pins and free items, as well as scavenger hunts across the island during events like Easter and Halloween.

*TheComputerIsACheatingBastard: Sensei reads your moves and automatically defeats you if you face him in Card-Jitsu without first earning a black belt.

*DarkReprise: The EPF leitmotif plays during the Engine Room theme.

*EldritchLocation: The Basement Dimension from The Rift - an homage to The Backrooms and a running joke about a secret basement belonging to one of the developers.

*ElementalRockPaperScissors: Card-Jitsu returns from the original game, with the Power Cards having updated animations.

*ExtremeOmnivore: Orange Puffles are shown to eat almost anything. And lots of it, too.

*EyeOfHorusMeansEgypt: The Pyramid from the Egyptian Party displays a large one near the top during.

*FieryStoic:
**Black Puffles, who are generally stoic and reserved, but can set alight while you walk with them.
**A popular image among the fanbase depicts Sensei in his Card-Jitsu Fire outfit during a meet-up, responding ‘...’ after a player asked him if he could say ‘poggers’.

*FilmNoir : The Stage Play, Ruby and the Ruby, and the Noir Dimension both serve as homages to this.

*FishingMinigame: Ice Fishing returns from the original game. But this time, in 3D!

*FullyDressedCartoonAnimal: Just like the original - [=CP3D=] takes it further by introducing a Miscellaneous clothing category, so that items like the jetpack can be worn alongside neck items like scarfs and ties.

*GadgeteerGenius: Brown Puffles are absent from the original game, but Gary the Gadget Guy remains as smart as ever. His variant from the Tree Gang is also one, known among his gang as the Gadgetree Guy.

*GameWithinAGame: The minigames return, some of them such as Bean Counters added a new perspective taking advantage of the third dimension.

*Gasshole: Pressing e + t on the keyboard allows you to fart. The game rewards you with a stamp if you can get several players to do this.

*GenderbentAlternateUniverse: Aunt Arctic’s counterpart from another dimension, Uncle Arctic, appears during the Rift. He makes reference to Captain Roxanne (Captain Rockhopper) and Paice (Paige).

*GodGuise: The player can disguise themselves as Anubis to gain access to the central room in the pyramid. The Sphinx inside sees right through it, though.

*GoofyBuckteeth: Orange Puffles are the goofiest species of puffle, and they have the buckteeth to prove it.

*GrandFinale: The Rift event - almost every room in the game was affected by the rift, alongside a long mission concluding the game’s story.

*GratuitousNinja: A Dojo where you can learn the art of Card-Jitsu and become a ninja sits up in the mountains of a snow-covered island.

*Guyliner: All Golden Puffles wear this as an homage to their Ancient Egyptian origin.

*HarderThanHard: Some of the custom extreme stamps, such as Jumping Jock and Shrimp Chef, are very hard to obtain.

*HomeBase: The R HQ is Agent R’s base of operations. It requires a maze to access and even he gets lost occasionally.

*MagicStaff: Granted to the player by the Sphinx, during the Egyptian Party. It allows the player to levitate over purple clouds.

*TheMaze: Several appear, such as in the Egyptian Pyramid, Mysterious Labyrinth and the Sewer System. Another appears, combined with platforming challenges, in the Rift.

*MeaningfulName: The Director refers to Agent R as Fulcrum R. A fulcrum is something that plays a central or essential role in an event.

*Main/MassivelyMultiplayerOnlineRolePlayingGame: The developer’s aim with this game was to translate this style of gameplay into a three-dimensional environment.

*MondegreenGag: These were used by mascots to avoid spoiling any details about the Agent R storyline. For example, when the pirate, Captain Rockhopper, was asked if he knew where Richard was, he replied 'aye, I do be seeking riches!’.

*MinecartMadness: A remake of Cart Surfer was one of the earliest minigames in development, but never made it past beta. It was eventually made available during The Rift.

*TheMultiverse: April Fool's Day Parties involve the penguins visiting other dimensions, and The Rift event involves the multiverse starting to collapse.

*NonMammalianHair: The wigs return from the original game, although the penguins cannot grow hair naturally.

*NoSuchThingAsDehydration: Exaggerated. Unlike the original, puffles don't even need to eat, let alone drink. The hunger bar is present, but it never decreased.

*OldMaster: Sensei, an elderly penguin who trains penguins in the martial art of Card-Jitsu. This was lampshaded by Rockhopper, who frequently make fun of his age, during mascot visits.

*OpposedMentors: Sensei and Rockhopper. Both are treated as mentor figures, but the former lives in the mountains and enjoys a life of peace while the latter sails the Seven Seas on a life of adventure. Their opposing ideals causes them to clash whenever they both appear at the same time.

*OurDragonsAreDifferent: The Box Dragon from Puffle Launch (a minigame in the original) appears during The Rift.

*PermanentlyMissableContent: As in the original, some items cannot be obtained after the party they appear in. This was ultimately averted in the final hours of the game, when every single item in the game was made available to players.

*PinkGirlBlueBoy: The fictional superheroes Shadow Guy and Gamma Gal follow this colour scheme. Subverted when Gamma Gal teams up with the Eric the Red and the Living Sled in the final Stage Play.

*PlayingWithFire: Black Puffles and Fire Ninjas can both control fire.

*PolarBearsAndPenguins: Averted. The BigBad of the original game, Herbert P. Bear, never appears, with mascots insisting polar bears aren't native to the South Pole when questioned about him.

*PolarPenguins: The island is completely covered in snow, even during summer events. The most notable exception being The Egyptian Party, where the island was covered in sand.

*PortalCrossroadWorld: Gary theorises that the Box Dimension may be this - explaining it as a sort of HubLevel.

*PrivateEyeMonologue:
**Jacques Hammer does this in his own play, Ruby and the Ruby, and the crossover play, Squidzoid vs Team Red - A Holiday Quest for the Ruby: Live.
**The player can inadvertently do this themself if they give a Tour in the Noir Dimension.

*TheProfessor: Gary. As well as being an inventor, he engages in all sorts of scientific research - typically whatever’s related to the next approaching party.

*PyramidPower: The pyramid in the Egyptian Party houses a sphinx, who grants you Anubis' powers.

*RidiculouslyCuteCritter: The puffles are as cute as ever, with new facial expressions and walk cycles in 3D.

*SemiaquaticSpeciesSailor: Captain Rockhopper is a penguin pirate. The variant of Sensei from the Cream Soda Dimension is also dressed as a sailor.

*SignatureHeadgear: Many of the mascots, such as Rockhopper and Sensei, have head items that are exclusive to them - players could only obtain them in the final hours of the game, when every single item in the game was made available to everyone.

*SlippySlideyIceWorld: The White Puffle Cave you access at the end of The Great Snow Maze has a slippery surface.

*ThemedParty: A main feature of this game and the original. As well as parties like the Halloween Party and Puffle Party, the game introduced original parties like the Egyptian Party and The Rift.

*UltimateShowdownOfUltimateDestiny: The Final Play has characters from every previous Stage Play square off against each other.

*VibrantOrange: Orange Puffles are the most chaotic and energetic type of puffle.

*VideoGame3DLeap: An attempt to make a direct one for Club Penguin.

*VirtualPaperDoll: Just like in the original game, players can dress up their penguins. The game also added an option to save specific outfit combination to accommodate this.

*WhenDimensionsCollide: The plot of The Rift event. Different rooms are affected by the Dimension that collides with it - for example, the Plaza collides with the Noir Dimension. It turns into a city straight out of a FilmNoir set, complete with a grayscale world and inexplicable monologuing.

*YouMeanXmas: Just like the original, the first Holiday Party was referred to as the Christmas Party, with following parties taking the secular name. However, the Merry Walrus Party from the original never appears.
