* In the 1960s there were action animated shows (often based on Creator/MarvelComics) that actually were not animated at all. Yes, apparently they reached a new low in how to be cheap on animation. But how did they handle the characters talking? Simple! When a character spoke, that character would be a still drawing with a human mouth on the face speaking. This is called SynchroVox and it gave off what is arguably the first and one of the creepier examples of Uncanny Valley in North American animation. Say what you will about [[TheSeventies the 1970s]] being a [[UsefulNotes/TheDarkAgeOfAnimation Dark Age for TV animation]], but by that time that practice was no longer the least bit common. (Nowadays it's only very rarely used for [[WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants comedic effect]] and for WebVideo/TheAnnoyingOrange series, where two of the same human eye and a human mouth are used to make talking inanimate objects.)

* Pretty much any Creator/{{Nickelodeon}} show based on a Creator/DreamworksAnimation movie. The shows have [[NoFlowInCGI much, much lower-budget CGI than the movies do]], and as a result the characters tend to look very strange, almost as if they're made out of clay. With ''WesternAnimation/ThePenguinsOfMadagascar'', [[https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81F2hWFJeML._RI_.jpg the Penguins themselves don't look too bad]], but [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/penguinsofmadagascar/images/a/ad/Julien-character-web-desktop.png/revision/latest?cb=20190718042749 King Julien]] and especially [[http://shared.frenys.com/assets/149998542119/2974536-You-penguins-are-psychotic-by-Maurice.jpg Maurice]] and [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/penguinsofmadagascar/images/1/1f/Mort-character-web-desktop.png/revision/latest?cb=20180425154117 Mort]] barely resemble their movie counterparts. The characters in ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPandaLegendsOfAwesomeness'' [[https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/91Q83jLoKYL._RI_.jpg don't fare any better]], particularly [[https://nick-intl.mtvnimages.com/uri/mgid:file:gsp:kids-assets:/nick/properties/kung-fu-panda/characters/shifu-character-web-desktop.png?height=0&width=480&matte=true&crop=false Shifu]]. ''WesternAnimation/MonstersVsAliens2013'' is the worst of the bunch, to the point where the show looks more like a FMV of a [[UsefulNotes/PlayStation PS1]] game than a show released in 2013.

* ''WesternAnimation/DonkeyKongCountry'' comes off as this, [[SeinfeldIsUnfunny being one of the first]] {{All CGI Cartoon}}s on television. The motion capture can look strange and bizarre by modern day standards, with plenty of jerky movement...

* ''WesternAnimation/BobTheBuilder'': The [[YouDontLookLikeYou dramastic redesigns]] in 2014 which made the humans more realistic looking (especially their mouths and eyes) where described by some as uncanny or creepy.

%% ''[[http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/baby-jake/ Baby Jake]]'', part of Creator/TheBBC's latest line of WhatDoYouMeanItWasntMadeOnDrugs programming that is actually meant for toddlers. Words just cannot describe it, and the only thing deeper into the valley than the show itself are the ''toys'' (see Toys section).

** ''WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles'' DVD had a bonus episode from the [[{{Retraux}} unreleased 1960s series]] [[StylisticSuck with similarly cheap animation]]. Mr. Incredible and Frozone complain about every corner cut.

* Parodied in an episode of ''WesternAnimation/TheTick'' where a department store security guard complains that the store's animatronic SantaClaus is re-appearing in his nightmares. This gets aggravated when [[spoiler:Santa's head gets torn off and thrown into his lap]].

** Goliad has the voice of a little girl and the head of a baby, and uses PeoplePuppets as a means of ruling the kingdom. These generic cute characteristics paired together with the body of a sphinx make her incredibly unsettling. It doesn't help that Goliad is also HUGE, and runs/leaps like a lion would. That eye that comes out of her forehead notably makes her face even more disturbing, to the point where Jake actually gets disgusted.

* Even worse than CGI Thomas was ''WesternAnimation/JayJayTheJetPlane.'' Imagine ''Thomas the Tank Engine'', except the trains are planes instead and they have more human-like skin tones and facial features.

* In the Italian dub of ''WesternAnimation/DuckTales2017'', every time Magica speaks she was given a Neapolitan accent to reflect her origins and place of residence in the comics... but Neapolitan has connotations of [[LargeHam being hammy]] [[WorldOfHam even for Italian standards]] and funny. Hearing it coming out of a cold sociopath suggesting to commit murder just isn't right.
